Chapter 985: CHAPTER 954 XEPHIER THUNDER

Shadowslash looks at the demon and said “You aren’t as stupid as I thought you are.”

The demon didn’t become enraged, it looks at him “Yeah, I maybe arrogant to weaklings but to a worthy opponent, I would never let my guard down.”

Shadowslash finally understood how the vice guild master managed to survive the onslaught of the demon, he was confused as to why it hadn’t been attacking wildly, it was actually being cautious right from the start.

The demon kicks the vice guild master with a speed that was currently unlockable by it’s target, it might not use it’s strength but it was still great.

Bam! Shadowslash didn’t try to save the vice guild master, he just looks at him while he flew towards the barrier, destroying two trees in the forest.

He spat out blood after receiving such a heavy blow, he wanted to stand up but the pain made him groan and curls into a ball.

Shadowslash and the demon was left behind looking at each other intensely, the first to move was the latter, it charges straight towards it’s target, didn’t even think of blocking any attack and only focus on offense.

He might be strong but his level is just too low, also his body is still immature, he needs to train this weak body before he could get used to his moves.

The demon kept laughing but his laughter was short lived, as he and Shadowslash were fighting, the general and the mercenaries that managed to survive finally kills the goblin king.

The monsters might be strong but with the threat of death and the fact that they cannot escape, all the mercenaries and soldiers exploded with newfound strength under such desperate situation.

Humans have limitless potential in growth, they are just too restricted by their emotion but emotion is a double edged sword, it is both harmful and beneficial to them.

The general let’s out a loud battle cry after killing the goblin king, he wasn’t actually the one who took it down, it was his knights, he was exhausted after fighting against the ogre.

He started breathing haggardly but he still remembers Shadowslash, he took out an orb and crushes it, something flew to the sky and with a loud explosion, an image of a thundercloud appears.

It was a signal for the city lord to rescue them in their predicament, after sending the signal, he force himself to charge towards the demon with his knights.

The mercenaries were still busy fighting against the monsters but at least, they are no longer worried about dying, with the barrier gone, as long as they could force the monsters to make a path, they could escape this battlefield.

The general shouted before fully leaving “Everyone, I have release the signal flare, do not worry, city lord would certainly return and vanquish the demon!”

Hearing this the mercenaries started cheering, they no longer initiates the attack, they were focusing more on defending, they just need to survive long enough for the city lord to arrive.

Meanwhile, the battle between Shadowslash and the demon continue to increase in intensity, trees were destroyed and multiple footprints are laid on the ground, this destruction were all created by the demon.

Shadowslash on the other hand knows that his body is now writhing in pain, he couldn’t help but feel that if this continues, he would certainly break down.

He wanted to escape multiple of times, unfortunately, his opponent was focused on him, he was also dead focus on it as one successful attack would meant death to him.

“Hahaha! Brat it seems that your body could no longer endure it, after I kill you, I will drink your blood and display your head on my territory!”

Shadowslash knows that this was true, he opens his mouth and breaths out large amount of smoke, the demon let’s out a laugh and took a very deep breath to the point that it’s chest rose.

It then blows hard and disperse the smoke, it saw Shadowslash seemingly killing trees in the surrounding, it became confused but at least it knew that this was the greatest opportunity represented to him.

It leaps and slashes it’s sword down but before it could hit it’s target, it was hit by a thunderbolt, it was thrown towards the mercenaries, crashing on some of them in the process.

Shadowslash heaved a sigh of relief, finally his so called “father” have arrived, he could finally rest but he started preparing for a one month rest, frantically absorbing the trees, he is replenishing his body.

Also, he commanded Wiggles to started eating the corpses of the monsters close to it, Shadowslash who was absorbing the trees couldn’t help but marvel at the skill [Limitless Digestion].

He felt that his body is naturally absorbing the energy and nourish his young body, he flew towards Little Fatty, upon seeing him, the mercenaries cheers.

He doesn’t give them a glance and told Little Fatty something, he nodded and then carries him back to the city, Little Snow on the other hand went to find the two elven sisters.

The mercenaries went to escort Little Fatty, they don’t want to leave just yet because they wanted to earn more rewards by contributing more but seeing that Shadowslash have fainted, they felt that it was their duty to escort him back home.

On the forest, the demon was now surrounded by the knights, all of them are holding iron shield but with one spin from the demon, all of them were thrown backwards.

The demon’s eyes glinted, it finally realised that it wasn’t weak, it started feeling down failing to kill a kid that isn’t even a ranker but upon seeing how the Bronze Rank knights holding shields were easily defeated by him, it regains it’s confidence back.

It wasn’t weak, it’s opponent was just too abnormal, it felt like every move that it made was already predicted by it’s opponent making it frustrated.

What it didn’t know is that, what it was feeling was true, Shadowslash truly read every move it made before it could execute them, he wasn’t as fast as it, his body would also not be able to keep up but as long as he preemptively move before the motion, he still has a chance of dodging.

With this method, he could survive on the onslaught of the demons.

Back on the battlefield, the demon was abusing the general with ease, it was laughing hard, suddenly, a heavy pressure descended, it stops it’s attack and looks up.

Xephier Thunder could be seen riding his horse, it looks at the demon with a cold gaze laced with killing intent.

“No wonder the priest of the church have arrived to help us, it is because of you demon!”

The demon pointed it’s sword at him and said “Finally Xephier Thunder you have arrived, you are our primary target but it seems that senior Blaze is preoccupied by that priest from that godd*mn church!”

Even though it’s enemy is one rank higher than it, fear couldn’t be seen on it’s expression, it was actually rearing to go, even though thunder attribute have restraining effect on demons, it wasn’t afraid.

With it’s unique ability, every attribute is vulnerable against it, the two of them clashes and the knights were thrown towards different direction because of the impact.

Meanwhile, on Blood World were the first and true Shadowslash is currently in, the situation is extremely different.

While his clone was fighting against a Gold Rank being and was nearly killed numerous of times, his true body was destroying islands with just one attack.

The people of Blood World tried to resist but they have done something that pisses him off, they forcefully tore through the seal of their world and actually opens numerous world gates, what is worse is that, three of these worlds are actually conquered by outer world creatures.

Finally knowing that he cannot let this continue, he started to make a move, Gaia cannot be connected by more worlds so if the blood world continues to stay open, then it would be disadvantageous for them.

Their enemy could send forces from their world while theirs cannot step foot on to the other world.

Shadowslash decided to make a move personally, he even asks Sans to coordinate with his attack.

Don Don on the other hand started fusing with blood world, Shadowslash gave him a time limit, if he cannot fuse after the outer world creatures reach tens of millions, then his mission would be considered a failure and they have to leave.

On one island, Shadowslash appears and looks at the direction of the outer world creatures and with one dragon breath, he eradicated thousands of them.
