Chapter 33 Magic Training

Name:The Supreme Level Up System Author:
One week after the incident, the house received a letter from Lexus, and he was asking if everything was all right even though he had heard the full report before. Senna replied to the letter with the help of the other wives, but Aion and Artemisia had no idea what was sent back.

After that, they didn't receive any letters. It was Lexus' way of telling them that if something happens and he doesn't reply to them for a while, they shouldn't worry. Still, it didn't seem like he told them to punish Aion somehow.

Putting that aside, Aion started his magic training and did some research on the library as well. He rarely had the chance to train the Mage class and its skills, so that helped more than a bit. The only issue was that he couldn't find appropriate targets. He stopped using the walls of the house when he began to damage it.

Fortunately, Aion had an idea when he was reading one of the books that mentioned the magic kingdom where his mother once lived. People there used their magic for everything, to make buildings, wells, and all sorts of things to help them with their lives. So, he understood that they could create things instead of manipulating the elements in nature.

"There isn't space to make more buildings around the capital, but perhaps they expand things now and then and reform the wall and the territory since we don't live inside a perfect circle," Aion said. "I also saw a brickyard the other day. Maybe I can use my magic to produce those and then sell them. Killing two birds with one stone."

That would be useful, but Aion wondered if things would go well since it would be too convenient, after all. Aion wanted to ask his mother about that, and then he realized that the blocks made of rock around his house were similar, but it was gray and silver like. Meanwhile, the bricks in the normal districts were red and brown.

"Mama, can we make iron with magic?" Aion asked.

"... You don't even know the basics, and you are already thinking of that?" Artemisia asked while frowning. "Some people managed to do that, but they were specialists in earth magic. I don't think that it is a good idea to focus on a single element. They are all useful and have their weaknesses in some moments."

It was a pity, but it looked like Artemisia wasn't going to teach him magic that soon… Aion had to wait for a moment before that could happen. He felt like a kid reading a book who wants to skip the introduction and jump to the adventure…

"Aion, imagine that your body is a flame that will help you control your anger," Artemisia said. "Also, I know that you won't train only when I am around, but please don't burn the garden to the ground."

"Okay…" Aion said.

"After imagining that, try to control the flames by moving them away from your body and then make them burn even stronger than before," Artemisia said.

That was one hell of an explanation… it was like a person who believed that the stars could say how their days would be was explaining how certain things worked. Regardless, that was a world where mana existed, so perhaps that explanation made sense. Aion decided to see the mana in his body like that… even though he could barely feel anything inside him.

"Get a bit angry, and then your mana will react to that. Just a bit is fine," Artemisia said.

Getting angry was easy. Aion just had to think of the frustration he felt when he failed at doing anything a few seconds ago. In the end, he actually felt something living in his body and burning in front of him. He felt a heat as well, so when he opened his eyes, he saw a flame on the size of his finger.

"... You did it… I guess it is expected since you defeated two criminals before," Artemisia said, visibly shocked.

Aion felt good while being praised and lost his focus, making the flame disappear. His mother told him that he had to keep his focus or fire the spell before he lost focus. In that situation, he had to keep forging his mental strength and maintain the flame for as long as he could.

In the end, Aion could keep a flame of that size active for as long as he wanted. It barely consumed any mana. However, one of the sizes of a human head cost five points per minute, and the longer he kept it active, the more tired his mind got. It was practically on the state of his mana bar.

"It seems you have quite the latent magic power… This is enough about fire magic," Artemisia said. "Tomorrow, we will practice ice magic since it is less dangerous. Once you master it, we will move to the next element."

"You can use the four elements, mama? Amazing," Aion said.

"Any direct descendant of the royal family can…" Artemisia said with a sad smile on her face. "Don't try to use the magic to attack anything, all right? Focus on control, and when you need it, you will be able to use it well."

"Can I use magic to make bricks and sell them?" Aion asked.

"We used to do that, but…" Artemisia said after she slightly tilted her head. "Is that why you were fighting? To get money without asking your father? You are so stubborn… Some people might think that you are throwing mud in the name of the Kresnik family, but I guess your father won't stop you. Still, if you want money, there are better ways to do that."
