As the bodies were split in two, a rain of blood fell on the battlefield. Although Aion was their ally, even the guards and adventurers trembled a little while looking at that… to think that they tried to ignore him as much as possible… if they had pissed him just a bit, they would have faced the same destiny… or so they thought. They had forgotten, but their incompetence truly tested Aion's patience over the last yet…

When around half of that battalion had been destroyed, the others decided to spread in all directions while jumping with all their might. They could cover dozens of meters with each jump, but whenever they landed, they had to feel their legs being pierced by the ice spikes.
Chasing them with that projectile was possible, but it would require some time and energy. Instead of that, Aion threw the ice disc at the other battalions. The projectile had suffered some damage, so the enemies blocked that completely by swinging their weapons at the same time.
"Axes, swords, spears, whips… They are moving like an army, but their weapons don't show any uniformity," Aion thought.
Aion gave the sign for the Adventurers to fire their arrows freely, and the enemies assumed their turtle formation to block those. They knew that they would attack in the same way as before if they charged recklessly, so they had to think of a better solution. Still, they didn't do anything until the survivors of the first squad fled from the area.
"My mana isn't recovering as fast as usual. The death knights are fighting… It doesn't seem like it is very intense, but I have to hurry up here," Aion thought.
It was hard to imagine that the enemies came to siege a town of ten thousand inhabitants with only half of that number. They either were only targeting the dungeon, or they wanted to access the power of defenses of the region before a large-scale attack… the other regions might show some weakness, but Aion couldn't let that happen in his area and on the port. So, he had to make them retreat, at least for the day.
"No pulling punches… Let's scare those guys good," Aion thought as he raised his arms.
An ice sphere began to appear above Aion's head, and it began to grow quite fast. In the blink of an eye, it became on the size of a carriage, and while the size didn't look that impressive, Aion had another surprise in stock for them. The enemies saw that and prepared to block the projectile by sticking together… They fell for Aion's trap.
Aion fired the sphere of ice and, in the blink of an eye, hit the enemy's formation. The impact didn't cause any damage, but the cold air inside the sphere spread around and froze one hundred soldiers instantly. Others got their limbs frozen and began to panic when they saw those falling apart like pieces of a statue… at that point in time, all the other battalion panicked and then began to retreat. Aion could attack once again, but he decided to save his mana for the trip toward the North. Still, before that, Aion contemplated his powers.
"I don't think that many people could do this much in the Mirellis kingdom, but it made sense that people would fear this type of power…" Aion thought.
The system helped Aion focus on increasing only his magic power, he was an absolute glass Cannon thanks to that. Perhaps even a kick on his balls could kill him. Nevertheless, it is only a problem if his enemies know that, which wasn't the case.
"I am going to check things on the port," Aion said to Jairo once he jumped from the tower. "Keep an eye on the surroundings, and don't drop your guard no matter what. I will be back in three or so hours."
Jairo was feeling more than compelled to follow all of Aion's orders now, so the idea of doing anything else aside from nodding seemed like insanity. While he saw Aion flying high in the sky and eventually disappearing in the clouds, Jairo wondered what the king was thinking when he decided to join the Kresnik and the Milleris kingdom royal family lineage to create such a monster. He had heard that Aion defeated Horis in a fight without using magic and that only proved that he was a monster on the same level as the mutated guys that were famous all around the world.
Jairo was thinking that the enemies might realize what Aion was planning, so he made some adventurers watch the whole area around to prevent ambushes. The direct path was still blocked by the frozen field filled with ice shards, so they won't use that route until that disappeared.
Fortunately, it seemed that the first battle caused some mental damage to the enemies since they didn't do anything and just began to raise their camp… Attacking during the day was probably something that they wouldn't do, but night raiders certainly were an option…
Although he had to take a pause in the middle of the trip, Aion reached the port in time to see his five allies completely fine. Despite the fact that he said that they should work together, that man in the shape of a barrel refused his offer.
"I will remember this…" Aion thought.
Despite the odds, Caelis and the other death knight were strong and managed to keep the enemies away with the back support of the scarlet tigers. Still, some arrows reached them, and they still were piercing their bodies.
"It is another army of five thousand… I really don't like this," Aion thought.
Aion's original plan was to freeze the enemies from the sky, but he was out of mana, so he had to meditate before also scaring the crap out of the hell of those enemies as well…
