It was a bit risky, but Aion decided to show some openings to his enemies. They were crazy enough to charge at him without shields, so things would become easy for him even in that situation… as long as Aion didn't miss. With that in mind, he charged to the archer class.
The enemy soldiers frowned when they saw the hammer becoming a bow and a quiver, and in that brief moment of hesitation, Aion began to attack. Three arrows landed on the face of three opponents, and before anyone could react.
The enemy soldiers focused their attention on Aion again now that they knew that he couldn't smash their heads. Thanks to that, the number of enemies heading to the sides decreased.
The spearmen were the first to approach, and they got close insanely fast… they had no idea that Aion let them get close… When five of them trusted their weapons at his torso, Aion used Inner Force and jumped backward. While he was in the air, he fired five arrows so fast that the people around only saw his arms blurring… in any case, the arrows appeared in the heads of the enemies.

When Aion landed, he fired five others, and five more enemies died… at that point in time, it was almost like his bow was a machine gun. The next volley of arrows ended up landing on the back of the few enemies that were heading to the mages… while the enemies were shocked, and since Aion was pretty far away, the mages began to spread around the area and target everyone who was leaving the city.
"Their numbers are higher than I expected…" Aion thought.
Aion proceeded to fire the remaining arrows on his quiver before deactivating Inner Force. Still, the last few ones were blocked by some soldiers since Aion wasn't that close to them.
The mages began to fire a barrage of spells toward the enemies. They were more confident now that not so many enemies were running toward them. Still, some of the enemies managed to approach after taking the armor of the fallen soldiers and using them as shields.
Aion began to focus on them from the sides since they weren't paying attention to him, and the enemies imagined that ending one side of the encirclement would help them. Still, Aion was forced to kite the enemies since there were too many enemies inside the city, and he got closer and closer to the battlefield behind him.
As an archer who barely could take a single hit, he couldn't let himself be surrounded. However, he could only walk in that direction if he wanted to keep an eye on the mages and truly make the enemies split their focus. As if Aion hadn't considered it enough, he saw some of the enemy soldiers preparing to throw spears at the mages…. Aion couldn't see his sisters, but he wasn't willing to take the chance of them being hit.
While the spears were in the air, Aion fired his arrows and stopped them, making both sides of the battlefield frown. Aion, supposedly, had no reason to stop the weapons, people dying on the battlefields was something natural, and he didn't have to protect anyone. A soldier had only to kill the enemy…
Still, while Aion saved some mages with that, it also made the enemies realize that they could stop him by doing exactly that… more and more enemies began to grab the fallen spears and prepare to throw them.
"Bad choices, pals," Aion said and then used Heavy Arrow.
The targeted enemy was pushed back when the arrow hit his chest, and then he stopped those that were about to attack by throwing the spears. When they recovered, they had an even worse surprise waiting for them… Aion unleashed the Power Shot that he charged for several seconds. The projectile hits one enemy, making it explode, and the impact sends all the other ones flying for several meters.
The battlefield grew silent yet again. Aion's allies didn't know that he was that good with a bow, and the enemies could only think that he was as good as Lerg and that was insane. While the enemies were hesitating, Aion charged another Power Shot, which made the enemies realize that he couldn't spam those that freely, so they charged at Aion with their weapons ready to block the projectiles…
Several Fire Walls appeared between the enemy soldiers and the mages squad. They decided to offer him some support since he protected them a few times. Aion smirked. With so many people watching his back for a short while, he could afford to assume a stance to increase his firing speed, and so he did that. That being said, he only planted his feet on the ground and began to fire without hesitation.
At that point in time, both sides realized that the number of enemies wasn't increasing, only the number of corpses… when they looked around, most enemies couldn't help but clench their teeth. The surprise attack had been too much effective. They thought that they could win the battle just by relying on their strength, but without their commander offering them support from the back, things weren't that simple.
The Fire Walls slowed down the enemies and burned down those that were foolish enough to keep charging, and Aion's arrows kept taking them down. It didn't take long for the enemies to realize that they had to retreat and regroup… However, at the very moment they began to step back, Aion felt a shiver, and then he used Inner Force and jumped to the side… However, an arrow still pierced his back… the pain and the shock made his body paralyzed, but he did his best to endure it. He knew that surprise attacks could be that dangerous, but only experiencing one first hand would be enough to tell...
