Tubby didn't know enough, but Aion couldn't blame him. He was just a small fry in the big picture. Still, he had his uses. Killing him would be too easy for Aion. It would be better to make him work to the rest of his lives while fearing for his life every single day if he makes a single mistake.
"You will spread to the whole city that no one can leave or enter for one week. If one single person leaves, your head will roll," Aion declared. "During that time, you will gather five hundred gold coins from the entire city, and you will put all of your fortunes in it as well. After that, you will gather all the weapons and put all of those in a single spot. If you fail to do any of that, I will sink this entire city into the ground. Do you understand?"
Aion made the ground freeze, and then he kicked, shattering it and showing a deep hole. Thanks to the trick, Tubby nodded several times. While he was going to spare anyone who gave up on their weapons, Aion would make them as poor as fuck and would make them work for him until he got tired of them.
Before leaving, Aion got a map of the entire country… there were too many villages for him to visit, but towns and cities were only six and eleven. Getting those and getting rid of anyone troublesome in those places was more feasible.

That wasn't a small amount of progress for a single day. Still, Aion didn't get what he wanted yet, and he couldn't afford not to get it. Still, he had plenty of room to grow with the enemies that he was going to face yet.
Time was of the essence, so Aion decided to head to the nearest base of one of those four families. According to Tubby, they lived in the four corners of the country, and that probably wasn't a coincidence… They lived like that since it would be easier to rule the whole country and hard to get rid of them at the same time.
In any case, the first target was pretty close, only two hundred kilometers away, and since Aion leveled up and got some money, his magic increased even more. Still, he wasn't sure how he should proceed.
"Kill the heads of this country will solve most of the problems, but I can't do that without learning what they were plotting," Aion thought when he found his next destination.
Once again, Aion landed on the interior of the city since it was another walled place, and the gates were closed. The same things repeated themselves as before, but as soon as Aion killed the guards near the gate, he noticed that something was off… the people of the city didn't come to check the confusion. That was suspicious…
"I flew fast here, but even though it is past midnight, this isn't right…" Aion thought.
He had killed two hundred guards, but reinforcements didn't come. Still, Aion kept moving until he noticed that something was off. The atmosphere was quite dark, and he could tell the reason for that. Eventually, Aion reached the mansion of the lord of the city, and he didn't even see guards there, but when he kicked the iron gate and broke it, he heard countless pitching sounds.
In the next moment, Aion used Magic Shield to block some attacks but then enveloped himself in a thick layer of ice… after opening some holes near his foot, Aion saw the darts and felt a smell coming from them. It was quite intense… poisonous darts coming from dozens of assassins.
"They must be waiting here… this couldn't be a coincidence," Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
More darts kept coming since the assassins were probably the last line of defense of the lord of the city… Aion opened another hole in front of his barrier and could see some shadows moving in the mansion in front of him. A lot of people were watching him, and they definitely were the final line of defense… even though it was stupid to lay their line inside a building.
Aion wished that he had time to plan things better, but he didn't have time. He wanted to get rid of the lords before the next sunrise, and he was already going to fight during the day, and that would be tiring, after all.
Without wasting any time, Aion dashed toward one side and then quickly found a group of assassins hiding within an alley, and then he froze the whole place with a powerful cold wave.
You have leveled up.
You have leveled up.
You have leveled up.
…
That was a lot of experience… The assassins must have been at quite a high level since Aion only killed a few of them. They were the kind that killed a lot but never took any damage. That was why a single spell did that… their talent caused their downfall.
As if that didn't matter at all, the other assassins kept attacking since they could tell that the ice barrier was suffering damage… it was true since Aion had never used that kind of thing before. Still, they weren't supposed to know this or see it in the darkness of the night. That was truly suspicious…
