In the end, Aion makes the enemy have a mental breakdown after he takes his sword and begins to cut his legs covered in ice. He thought that the guy was the head of the enemies, but that wasn't the case. He spilled the beans all too easily before Aion claimed his head. If that wasn't suspicious, he didn't know what it was.
Despite that, he had his clues that the one leading the whole group indirectly while receiving more help from the future was a woman that was controlling the Eastern side of the county. While her territory didn't expand that much, she was the one who forged the special materials that they had and gave them to the others.
"This guy didn't have anyone whom he could trust with such a powerful sword, so he kept it," Aion thought. "This isn't material I have ever heard of… so maybe his suspicions aren't unfounded."
The target was killed, but the enemies outside still were acting like zombies, and while seeing them up close, Aion could tell that most of them were just ordinary folk… the enemies truly wanted to make him look like a monster to the whole world.
"This situation is too favorable to the enemies… it is almost like they can tell how I would act after finding out about Maisie and Darina," Aion thought while the ice wall was falling apart. "While knowing that, the enemies made several preparations to fuck me over… they shouldn't know so much about the past unless they knew about a different past without much of their intervention."
When time travel is involved, everything becomes really complicated. So, it couldn't be helped that Aion would feel a headache. The more he thought about it, the more Aion assumed that using the relics to deal with the perpetrator of the whole situation was the only way to solve the problem with the brainwashed people.
Aion also thought that the second spot that the relics pointed to was just a building that the perpetrator used to talk with the people in the present, but maybe he was wrong… he had to investigate that.
Aion broke the ice wall and flew back to the city, using the relics to find the right place… in the end, he only found an old warehouse that didn't even have windows or doors.
"Talk about a suspicious place…" Aion thought and then broke the ceiling of the building.
In the next moment, Aion found a large magic crystal sending mana to a small fissure in the space that was emitting a dark and purple glow.
"Hellooooo… are you there, Mr or Miss asshole?" Aion asked after he approached the distortion.
Aion waited for a while, but he didn't get any response. In any case, while the magic crystal was feeding the fissure, Aion could feel some mana coming from the fissure as well and spreading across the city. He wanted to know how to get such a large magic stone, but it was a problem for later.
After storing the magic stone, Aion processed it, and then it turned into an experience that made his class level up alongside the refinement level of it… making it reach the max.
"I didn't know that this is possible… this thing must be quite high quality," Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

Restoration: restore health on the target that will be equal to the level of the skill multiplied by twenty. When the health of the target is full, casting this spell will restore body parts to their original state faster than the ordinary healing speed. The level of the skill determines its effectiveness.
Mana Regeneration: passively increases Mana Regeneration by ten percent per level.
Aion smiled to himself in satisfaction. Restoration will help his sisters… he thought that he would need a tier three healing class. Still, maybe he underestimated what such a level of a class would do.
Regardless, he had to level up the skill, but he also had to check things outside. The fissure was closed, and the mana in the environment changed.
When Aion left the warehouse, he looked at the armies around the city and confirmed that they were all confused. The spell was undone… but Aion will have to level his class since he got extremely weaker again.
"At least I got my money back, and I can increase my magic…" Aion thought and then began to fly toward the northern part of the country, but then he turned around.
It didn't take long, but Aion felt that it was a pain… he approached one of the armies and then threw the corpse of their leader in front of them, and then explained the situation.
"Gather all the money and weapons of the city in a single place and wait for one week," Aion declared. "During that time, no one can enter or leave the city. If you let that happen, your entire country will be destroyed."
Aion wondered if that would be enough to make everyone do as they were told… but he didn't have time for anything else. The last two targets might be preparing more traps to deal with him, and he couldn't help but worry since the mastermind had enough leeway to give that crazy sword away.
It was hard to imagine what else they had in store for him…
