Chapter 312 Honorable Grandfather

Name:The Supreme Level Up System Author:
Just when Aion thought he would get some answers, he was engulfed by light, and then he saw himself in the desert again. He could move his body, so he could tell that he was back, but he couldn't help but feel pissed… he didn't get that many answers.

"You have got to be kidding me, Malon…" Aion thought and then stroked his chin. "That girl, she looked like grandma shrimp, but at the same time, her aura was different. What is going on here?"

It didn't matter how much he thought about it, and Zane wouldn't get an answer that easily… Regardless, he had other things to do. Maybe Arlana would have a few answers.

"Come to think of it… Grandma said that we would probably meet again, and she wouldn't recognize me," Aion thought and began to fly. "Does that mean that I will go to the past to see her? Should I try to head to their period of time and learn what happened?"

Since he didn't know what happened, Aion wouldn't know what he couldn't do. While he might create other timelines with his actions, he always could return to his own no matter what… it was hard to say if such a thing didn't have other consequences, though.

Aion thought that his life was taking a weird turn now that he knew that he could move freely toward the timelines. Also, it was hard to imagine that in the current era, there was someone that could take him down… at least considering the areas that he visited and without counting some dungeon or labyrinth guardians. It felt like he was playing in a different league… one that losing would cost more than his life.

Aion wondered why the options looked like dead, a mix of edgy and colorful, but in the end, it seemed right that those would be his options. He never had the chance to use the Samurai class, so he was expecting that it would change now. However, he realized that the class wasn't even close to reaching the max level before, even though the refinement level was on the max already.

"Why did this class was upgraded? Was it because I saw Malon's life?" Aion thought, and then he frowned even more when he noticed that he was using the Healer class, and the class changed when it was updated. "It doesn't make any sense, and he wasn't a samurai, much less of a master yet."

Aion ignored the fact that he was falling while he was equipped with a low-level class. He was two kilometers above the ground, so the fall will probably kill him. Still, he soon changed back to the Healer class and resumed his flight.

A few hours later, Aion reached the fallen capital. The place was empty, and the corpses that he had left behind had been disposed of. At least Vangel kept his promise… or he didn't try anything knowing that he might lose the loyalty of Aion's father.

"I should wall this whole place and then make my death knights get rid of all the earthworms. That will grant me some mana to help with that," Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Well, I need to talk with Arlana first."

Aion headed to the throne room since he imagined that the place would be the one connected to most periods of time. He waited for a while for Arlana to establish a connection with him somehow, but that didn't happen. So, he used the relics, and Aion couldn't help but frown when he saw dozens of mirrors appearing around him. To periods in the past while the castle was still at its peak and to periods that had become even more ruined than it was already.

"I guess the past is on my left side, and the future is on the right side…" Aion thought while heading to his right side. "I wonder how much further in the future I can go."

Aion blinked several times when he reached the final mirror… the place was completely dark, and he couldn't tell a single thing inside.

"Is this… the end of time of this world?" Aion thought while feeling a cold feeling in his stomach. "If I can head there, does it mean that something still exists here?"

Aion thought about it, but he wasn't sure… The relics pointed to the final mirror when he asked where Arlana was. Thanks to that, he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to live in a world of darkness. How was it connected to that end? Did they contribute to that somehow? Arlana seemed weirdly cheerful when they talked for the first time, and he always found that odd.

"This can also be a trap, but…" Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Hey, grandpa, What do you think of this?"

"I am curious to see what is the future is like, even though I am one hundred percent sure that it is well deserved that the world would end like that, considering that we were exterminated," Arc replied.

"You seem quite sure of yourself, aren't you, Grandpa?" Aion said while frowning.

"Stop calling me that and refer to me as honorable grandfather," Arc said in a demanding tone.
