Aion wondered what he should do. He probably could heal everyone and decrease the effects of the poison… but that would make him too famous, and he didn't want anyone to know that he was there and that he was possibly from the future.
Before he could make any decision, Aion heard that the other groups had finished off the enemies as well. Still, he also could tell that things were getting noisy, but not because of any celebration. It was because enemies were coming from the south again.
When Aion headed in that direction to confirm it, he saw a massive group of enemy soldiers carrying torches. The other groups couldn't even compare to that in size… as if that wasn't enough, Aion also could tell that several thousands of riders were in the front, and this time, they were coming for real…
"The draconic wanderer is finally coming… should I head there and kill him?" Aion thought. "That is probably why the mirror was shining, and that is my goal in the first place, but the people here need help."
Either way, Aion won't be able to hold back anymore… he will have to show all his might no matter what he chooses. After thinking for a short while, Aion realized that his best option was to attack and cause confusion among the enemy's ranks and kill their leader to make them panic. Without the top of their command chain, their morale will drop, and they won't have anyone at the level of the same guy to restore their confidence.
Aion moved away from the camp and then began to fly toward the enemy's army. He used the relic one last time and confirmed that they pointed to the back of their formation.
"It is almost like he is waiting for me… is this a coincidence?" Aion furrowed his eyebrows.
Either way, Aion didn't have time to wonder about that. Once he got close enough, he used his wind manipulation to summon two tornadoes and made them appear right in the middle of the enemy's formation. They should keep causing damage and panic for a while… Eventually, Aion changed to his Lancer class. However, before he could reach the back of their formation, a fireball was shot toward him…
Aion barely had time to block it, and then he opened his eyes widely when he noticed that the attack was basically a boulder engulfed in flames that pushed him backward quite easily.
After using his magic, Aion froze the attack and made it break apart… the enemy definitely was waiting for him. At that point in time, it was useless to try to keep his identity hidden, but he still covered most of his face with his cloak.
More of those attacks were fired, but Aion dodged them after using the flying rune. He approached while zigzagging in the air, and then eventually, he saw a large shadow approaching. Out of reflex, Aion blocked the creature in front of him, but while grinning, the draconic wanderer punched Aion's stomach and then made him spin in the air.
"I should have increased my endurance…" Aion thought and then healed himself. "Speed should be my forte with this class, and yet…"
Aion wasn't the only one who could fly. Soon the draconic wanderer approached to attack again. The guy had red eyes that emitted a glow like they were on fire… he also looked like the type who could easily get excited in the middle of a battle, so Aion didn't feel like letting him getting too close.
The draconic wanderer didn't have any weapons. Still, when he got closer and punched again, Aion saw that he had claws instead of fingers, and his knuckles were quite hard. Dark red scales covered his forearms, shoulders, and the lower parts of his legs. As if that wasn't enough, he had a long tail on his back.
"I have been waiting for you!" The draconic wanderer said while smirking.
"I can't say that it has been a pleasure so far," Aion said while trying to block all the attacks.
Aion managed to pull that off, but then the man suddenly fired that massive boulder in flames toward him. Aion was pushed backward again, and while he was freezing it, the draconic wanderer suddenly appeared behind him.
As quickly as possible, Aion summoned an ice shield behind him. Still, the enemy quickly shattered something of that level with a single kick and then attacked Aion's back. He collided against the boulder on fire and then pushed it downward.
Aion and the projectile hit the middle of the enemy's army that was still trying to understand what was going on thanks to the tornadoes and ended up killing dozens of enemies… The draconic wanderer didn't care at all about his underlings.
As soon as he landed, Aion healed himself a bit and then quickly flew away since the enemy attacked the spot he landed. He didn't expect that someone of that era would be that strong… he dropped his guard thinking that he had reached an unrivaled level.
"It was time to stop pulling punches… no matter what I do, the enemy that is helping this guy should have a good grasp of my abilities, just like Arlana," Aion thought while he was flying in an arc. "So, I should get rid of him using a trick that I often use but a lot more powerful than usual."
While he was using a melee class, Aion was annoyed that the enemy could fly faster than him. Thanks to it, he approached and was ready to attack again. When he tried to punch Aion, his spear, covered in ice, suddenly spun and stopped his charge. The draconic wanderer suddenly frowned since he didn't expect that such a thing would stop him…
The enemy got even more surprised when Aion made the spear retreat a bit, and then he swung it again. The attack sent the man flying downward, hitting the ground and raising a massive curtain of dust.
