The final result was like a magic that contained thousands of runes… now Aion could understand how that ice tornado that they saw earlier was that massive. It had enough mana that he could harness in more than twelve hours while using a fully powered Meditation, after all.
They took a deep breath when it was time to activate all the runes, and when Aion used just a small amount of it to ignite all the runes, they saw the wind slowly being pulled toward the area, and then they moved away.
Half an hour later, the ice tornado had been completed, and then the area got as cold as they recalled. The plan had succeeded.
"I guess I really need to learn more about the runes. This is almost like cheating with magic," Aion said.
"Your mana pool is what is a cheat… by myself, and I would need mana that I would have to harness for months," Seris said without hiding her shock.
"Anyway, our job here is done," Aion said and then used the relics to summon the mirrors.
They didn't find anything unusual, so they just crossed the mirrors and returned to their present. As to how they could dispel the ice tornado, Seris thought of a way to do that easily. Aion just had to disrupt the circle of runes that they created by cracking the ground at any point of it. That would stop the flow of mana and make the ice tornado lose power eventually.
Aion did exactly that, and thanks to the tricks he learned alongside earth magic, and he managed to break the circle of runes even from a distance. After one full hour, the ice tornado dissipated completely, and then the group approached the ice mountain that had a ton more snow than before.
"... Hey, I know that you have felt our presence," Aion said. "Wake up, and don't make me waste my time."
Seris facepalmed, and Arlana showed an awkward smile. Only Aion was insane enough to talk like that with a being that was almost a god of that world. It was like they were three thousand years old versions of Horis, absolutely and famous legends that everyone had heard of.
In any case, when Aion was about to attack the mountain, it began to move, and then they had to wait for one hour before Celion showed up again.
"..... What?" Celion asked.
"Don't give me that bullshit. You know why we are here," Aion said.
"Fifteen hundred years already passed? I am not sure about that…" Celion said, and then he yawned. "Still, I suppose I can't have a decent nap if people keep using time magic… I will help you, but you will need to keep proving yourself in order to maintain my loyalty."
Celion said, and then he sent a sphere of mana toward Aion. He absorbed it and then felt the connection between them was established. Aion got another Legendary pokem-... Another legendary guardian joined his camp.
"You like cold regions, right?" Aion asked. "I will see what I can do for you once you wall the capital of the Milleris Kingdom."
"You used runes to create that ice tornado. Certainly, you can use them to create a frozen island that can fly for me," Celion declared. "I don't like deserts."
"... Now that I think about it, runes are what keeps your hometown floating, right?" Aion asked.
"It is… but I don't have the knowledge to replicate that, much less make an Island that can move," Seris said.
"If there is a will, there is a way," Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Anyway, can you move fast enough? You can't fly, can you?"
"I am slow on earth, but no one moves faster than me on water," Celion said, and then he made all the snow around move in front of him before he jumped to the top of a giant snow hill. "Jump in and try not to fall."
Aion had an idea of what Celion was planning, so he made some chairs made of the earth stand above Celion's head, and then he made sure that they wouldn't fall by connecting them like a helmet on Celion's head. Once everything was done, Celion began to surf on the snow wave that he himself made to move forward. It started slow, but eventually, they got faster than any vehicle that existed in that world.
"Unbelievable…" Seris said while watching that bizarre scene.
"For a sack of lazybones, you sure have some style," Aion said while smirking.
"Controlling every water of the world is my forte. This is nothing," Celion said without showing any emotion since he was too lazy even for that.
It wasn't as fast as flying with the chamber being pulled by the draconic wanderer, but it was way more comfortable. In any case, thanks to that, Aion had a lot of free time to create more nana orbs and talk with the souls that he had yet to convince.
During that time, Aion also made the weather become more comfortable by making some warm wind pass nearby them while making sure that it wouldn't bother Celion. Thanks to that, and probably because of the boredom and exhaustion, Seris and Arlana ended up falling asleep, and both of them ended up resting their heads on his shoulders.
"I really need to find a wife…" Aion thought and then sighed.
In any other situation, Aion would feel pretty proud of himself. Still, he couldn't do that since he had too many things to do and worry about. Somehow, his love life seemed so small and unimportant… which was quite weird since he simped so much for his neighbor when he was Adam.
"I guess I need to look for a redhead… only one of them will ignite the fire in my heart," Aion thought. "I would rather die than say this out loud… either way, I would die out of the sheer cringeness of saying this as well."
