Aion got quite excited by that experiment… When did the dungeons begin to appear? No one knew the answer to that question. Still, since Aion found monsters aside from the sahuagins in the ocean, they have been existing for a very long time. If their spawning rate was like usual, they could have wiped out humans a long time ago. So, they either died of hunger or for other causes… in any case, Aion was going to test that theory without risking creating a dungeon or some abomination.
Aion flew back to the beach and then opened a mirror back to his home. Once he returned to the present, he felt a lot of mana suddenly moving and being absorbed by his body. The plan worked, but it seemed that the skeleton died at some point.
"Now that I think about it, the skeleton would need my mana to attack, and where would it draw mana from without me existing?" Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "The answer probably lies on that knife… I existed with that skeleton, to some extent, I guess."

"Oh boy… my mana at level one is already this high," Aion showed quite a nervous smile. "I can't use this method often.. and I also need to confirm if that changed anything."
Aion headed to the desert again, and he didn't see any changes… Now that he thought about it, even the relics that had the blood of someone like Malon were losing power over time. It was only natural that the first knife that he created with his blood wouldn't last forever.
"You have a lot of mana, and you can spread it across the desert to resonate with something else that has your mana as well," Annalee said. "Just think of spreading across the desert, and that should be possible."
"Is that so… thanks for the idea," Aion said once he realized that he needed to at least find the vestiges of his knife to make Arlana study it.
"We had a relic that worked in a similar manner to look for enemies on a regular basis," Annalee explained.
"Maybe I should try to create the same thing… so many things to do, so little time," Aion scratched the back of his head.
Aion put the plan into action, and thanks to his high magic and mana, he found the vestiges of something that had his mana… three hundred kilometers away from him. He didn't expect that his mana would be able to do that much.
In any case, when Aion reached the area, he found a knife fifty meters under the sand… it was completely rusted, but it still was almost intact. Time affected it a bit, but perhaps it didn't it was only the result of countless battles. It was hard to be certain.
"This should have the effect to inflict someone with tetanus once they are bitted by it…" Aion furrowed his eyebrows.
Aion stored the weapon in his inventory, and then he flew home. He arrived in the middle of the night, and he found those three very worried since, from their perspective, he suddenly disappeared. It took a while, but he eventually explained what had happened.
"To think that such a thing would happen and no one would notice… doesn't that mean that the enemies can essentially make whole armies appear out of nowhere?" Artemisia asked.
"They should have some limitations, but as long as I have the relics, it should be fine," Aion said. "Anyway, can you check for the data of this weapon? Your time magic can let you read the data of things in the past, but using the same to read the data of something in the present should be possible, right?"
"Indeed, I didn't use that often since pretty much everything was destroyed where I came from…" Arkana said, and then she began to focus before touching the knife.
"This has too much information…" Arlana furrowed her eyebrows. "But everything is the same… the knife being held by a skeleton for dozens of years and being used to slay monsters."
"Why would you do that? What would benefit you from killing the monsters in the past?" Seris asked.
"It was just an experimentation… I need to find other ways to make this useful for us," Aion explained since he couldn't tell about his leveling system. "The enemy this time did something weird to test my powers, and she could teleport an entire city, so I don't have any other choice aside from doing my best to get better cards in my hands."
"... Arlana, what do you think that being would do once they realize that they can't defeat Aion?" Seris asked after she thought for a few seconds while furrowing her eyebrows.
"I am not sure… honestly," Arlana replied. "That thing's way of thinking is beyond me, but considering what happened this time… it won't surprise me if it goes looking for allies."
