Chapter 43: I Call This Chaos

43 Chapter 43: I Call This Chaos

Sam felt a presence around him and woke up, but he didn't sense anything hostile or negative, so he didn't panic.

"I thought I concealed my presence completely, but I guess there's no escaping your senses, huh, darling?" a sweet voice said.

Sam noticed a stunningly gorgeous girl with dark hair and dark eyes lying beside him, her arm draped over him in a loving embrace.

"It's not proper for a young maiden to be in a man's room at this hour," Sam said, gently brushing the hair off her forehead.

"It's not wrong if the man is the young maiden's darling, darling," Lucy chuckled and snuggled closer to him.

"When did you get here?" Sam asked.

"A few minutes ago... I was on my way to the training grounds to meet you, like we always did, but then it hit me."

"What?" Sam asked with a curious expression.

"If I want to meet you, I could just come here... We're way past that hard line, right?" Lucy asked nervously in a soft, barely audible voice.

"Yes, we are..." Sam replied, tenderly massaging her face. Fịndd new updates at novelhall.com

"Then you won't mind me living with you here?" Lucy asked, glancing sideways with a small grin.

"What would Principal Agor think about his granddaughter living with a single young man?"

"He won't say anything because he was the one who suggested it in the first place," Lucy said, letting Sam see that she was only wearing a pair of panties, a bra, and a very thin, see-through purple nightdress.

Sam couldn't take his eyes off her, and Lucy smiled, noticing his gaze. "Like what you see?"

"It's not a good idea to tempt a man like this," Sam said, holding her by her thin, incredibly soft waist and making her sit on his lap.

"Fufu, you're not so uptight anymore... You've changed," Lucy said, massaging his face with her thumb.

"Is it a good thing or a bad thing?" Sam asked, gently wrapping his arms around her back and pulling her into an intimate hug, feeling her sweet warmth against his chest.

"It's good... I'm loving it," Lucy whispered.

Suddenly, both Lucy and Sam turned their faces toward the door, sensing the presence of someone outside Sam's bedroom.

"I think it's one of the girls," Sam said, getting up from the bed while Lucy quickly put on a T-shirt and thick long pants.

She would never, ever let anyone else see her intimate side;

Sam was the only person allowed, and would ever be allowed, to see her like that.

When they opened the door, they found Yuki standing there, but something was off. Her eyes were closed, yet she was walking.

"What's wrong with her?" Lucy asked, concerned.

"I think she's sleepwalking," Sam answered, waving his hand in front of Yuki's face.

She didn't react; she was definitely sleepwalking.

"Sleepwalking? Should we wake her up?"

"No, waking someone in the middle of sleepwalking can be potentially harmful unless we're sure of the cause," Sam said.

"Then what should we do?"

"Sleepwalkers aren't aware of what's happening during their sleep, but they are aware of their surroundings. Sometimes they even respond verbally," Sam said, gently placing his hand on Yuki's shoulder and calling out to her.

"Yuki."

"...Mm," Yuki murmured.

"I'll take you to your room," Sam gently whispered, patting her back.

"Fine, I did cause this, after all," Sam sighed.

"I'm curious, what kind of attack did you use to cause this much destruction?" Agor asked.

"It's a secret," Sam chuckled, deflecting the question.

Lucy noticed his evasion but chose not to call him out, while Sam sensed her awareness with his emotion-sensing ability.

Agor understood and didn't press further.

If Sam didn't want to reveal his secrets, there was nothing he could do about it.

Many cultivators held their secrets close, and Sam, an extraordinary cultivator, surely had plenty.

"Anyway, I'll check if anything is wrong with the magic at the academy, but I can't promise anything. While I do that, make sure no one unwanted sees me using magic," Sam instructed.

He raised his hand and pointed at the crater.

A ten-foot radius blue magic circle appeared and expanded above the crater, filled with all sorts of unreadable languages and symbols.

"Wow, you really can use magic, huh, darling?" Lucy said, her eyes astonished.

"What kind of magic is this?"

"It's a magic I use to analyze things. There are many versions of analytical types of magic out there, but the one I'm using now is the most advanced one that I learned from my eldest sister," Sam explained as the patterns and symbols on the magic circle shifted positions, and the circle itself began to spin slowly.

"I can't understand anything on it," Lucy admitted, seeing the contents of the magic circle as nothing but pure scribbles and gibberish.

"Of course you cannot understand because you are not a mage," Sam smiled.

"This magic will analyze everything in the academy and will list all the abnormalities, inconsistencies, and deviations in the flow of energy. It won't find the problem directly, but it will give us an idea of where to look."

"How long does it take?" Agor asked.

"A few hours," Sam replied.

"Hmm... I will keep the students from coming here and discovering you can use magic," Agor said, signaling the others to secure the area, leaving Sam and Lucy alone.

"I'm sorry if you feel offended that I didn't answer your grandfather when he asked what attack I used," Sam said slowly, looking down.

"Hey, everyone has secrets. I wouldn't expect you to give up yours just because we are together," Lucy said, tightening her grip on his arm.

"But I certainly want to tell you," Sam admitted.

He extended his index finger, and dark and holy energy began to concentrate at the fingertip into a single ball of gray energy.

Though they didn't collide or mix, they appeared to be in a sort of harmony.

"I-I feel goosebumps... What is that?" Lucy asked, trembling.

"It's Dark and Holy powers in a single condensed gray ball of energy. Even though they don't mix, They are like contained water and oil in a single bottle."

"they become quite aggressive when they are together, but I somehow manage to control them and manipulate their reaction to each other," Sam explained.

"And you can use them in an offensive attack?" Lucy asked, staring at the gray energy.

"Yes... I call this Chaos," Sam replied.
