Side Story 1 (1)
“This way, this way…!”
“Now, this is a herb more precious than gold. Everyone, move it carefully.”
“Wait a minute, there’s…”
Tom and Geras, who were moving wildly, rushed out of the carriage in front of the store. He was really busy, but the person who just arrived was a person who could never be ignored.
From the back of the carriage, Ahil the knight jumped, opened the door, and reached out to the lady sitting inside.
“Thank you, Sir Ahil.”
In a small voice, she greeted and reached out her hand carefully. Dana wrapped her other hand around her convex belly, which stretched gently into the elegant dress.
Dana’s escort Lisa greeted Tom and Geras warmly.
“Hey, Tom, that looks pretty good”
“Oh, I had a hard time meeting the date. Don’t even tell me.”
“Lisa, you look like an escort now!”
Lisa beckoned them to the floor and said in a stern voice.
“Come on, say hello to Her Grace.”
Then Tom and Geras clumsily fell on one knee and bowed their heads.
“Welcome, Your Grace.”
“Oh, hello…. The Grand Duchess… Your Grace.”
Then Dana smiled and responded to their greetings.
“Long time no see, Tom, Geras.”
Dana looked at them with a pleased smile as Tom and Geras got up.
“Thanks to you two, the work at the merchant group has become much easier. It’s really not easy to get reliable people.”
Their shoulders were strained. Then Lisa laughed loudly and hit Tom hard on the shoulder.
“Hahaha, Your Grace the Grand Duchess! If these guys don’t listen to you, tell me! I’ll come and scold them!”
“Oh, no… Lisa!”
Dana walked slowly between them and looked at the items coming and going.
“I’m lucky that the main habitat of Rosaveria belongs to Grand Duke Tertius. But I don’t think it’s as much as I expected.”
Dana took a herb out of the stacked boxes and put it to her nose and breathed in. The pungent smell was unmistakably authentic.
“Only people who know this can find it, so it’s true that you can’t bring a lot of people even if you try to find them.”
Tom followed and explained to Dana, and Dana nodded at his words with a troubled face.
“This amount is not a special product. Well, the medicinal properties are excellent… I’ll have to think about it a little more.”
On saying that, a familiar face passed by. She lowered her gaze and put her head down at once, and went her way when she met Dana’s eyes.
“Well, she’s rude. I’ll catch her and scold her.”
As Lisa huffed, Dana raised her hand and dissuaded her.
“No, leave it. You should pretend not to notice.”
“Why? Who is it?”
Dana lowered her voice and whispered to Lisa.
“…A double spy. Working back and forth between the Deniz merchant group and the top of Hamilton.”
Lisa looked at Dana with a surprised expression, and Dana raised her index finger to her lips.
It was Terra who Dana had sent as a double spy.
Terra used to be a maid who gave decisive testimony when Dana was kicked out of the castle. She was never good, profitable, and sometimes adept at lying, but she was put in the place because of her frank personality before money and safety.
Dana didn’t believe her. But even if Terra was caught, she won’t reveal that she is a spy.
I just believe in the power of money.
Dana turned away from Terra, who soon disappeared from the building.
“Geras, send reports to me at the Side Palace. I think I’ll have to see for myself.”
“Yes, I’ll send someone to you. But I think you’re overdoing it because of the coming vacation.”
“It’s okay, what’s the point of just playing? I’m going to take it easy.”
Dana moved on, skipping the word “probably”.
After she regained her memory, she felt so sorry for the lost time. So she was rushing a little too much. Fortunately, the child in her stomach held out stably, and Dana took charge of the work of Deniz merchants which was physically demanding.
Meanwhile, a loud sound of horse hooves was heard outside. Dana quickly sat on the sofa in the top lobby, her eyes wide open as she took a comfortable posture.
Those who were puzzled by her quick movement did not understand until they saw the person who came in immediately.
“…Dana!”
Leon strode in with black hair in the wind.
“Oh… Leon, you are here?”
“You stopped by the merchant group on your way to vacation, when you said you wouldn’t have to work.”
Dana tapped her seat next to her with an embarrassing smile.
“Of course, it’s something I promised you.”
“But why are you here?”
“Just… There will be a gap for a while, so just to check…”
Leon looked at Dana in disbelief, and Dana stroked his arm.
