In life, Evan always made decisions logically unless forced otherwise.
However, you can't always adhere to logic and brood over the looming consequences of your actions.
Despite appearing numb, he was still a human, with hot blood running through his veins. He retaliated when necessary, but after going through so much, he knew charging ahead like a reckless bull would only lead to disaster for himself.
He has suffered in the past, but this time, he won't.
Even though it had happened a long time ago since that event, the impulse that arose inside him suddenly when he saw that fucking picture made it too hard for him to control that itch.
It was unbearable and he couldn't do anything.
He began by intercepting network traffic, capturing packets that revealed Jay's digital footprint. Filtering through the data, he pinpointed Jay's IP address with a satisfied nod. Activating a geolocation script, he watched as coordinates and maps materialized on his screen, confirming Jay's whereabouts.
He wore an old hooded jacket and made sure to cover his face with a mask and black goggles.
Upon reaching the destination, he spotted Jay's car–the same one he had used since college. He punctured the back tyres and waited.
The CCTV camera might have recorded this, but he didn't care as he made sure to his face mask and covered it with a hood. Given how police worked in the country, even if they were to get a lead of his picture, they wouldn't get him.
As for how he knew, he had outright experience of this.
Then he waited across the street, far away. The place was empty since it was almost midnight.
Jay emerged, accompanied by two girls and they drove off. Just after traveling a short distance away from him, the car stopped.
Evan seized this opportunity and picked up two glass bottles and dashed forward, trying to hide his presence as much as possible.
As he approached, he saw Jay kicking the car in frustration.
With a swift motion, he pulled out one of the bottles and hurled it at the guy's head.
BAAM!
Jay staggered as the bottle crashed, bewildered by what was going on. Evan, moving swiftly near him, pulled out another bottle and smashed it on Jay's head once again.
BAAM!
The next moment, Jay's vision became blurry and he collapsed. Falling on the car with a thud as his back slammed on the bonnet and laid flat.
The world around him spun wildly as he felt hot drops of reddish liquid staining his vision.
Having achieved his goal, Evan didn't bother with Jay anymore and ran forward at great speed, leaving the girls inside the car screaming in horror.
'This brat...Just how the hell I give birth to such a troublemaker...?'
While Denna overreacted, he felt nothing because this was a normal occurrence for him. Every few days, his son would get into trouble and he had to wipe his ass.
After calming Denna, he looked for the doctor to understand the extent of the damage.
His son suffered a small concussion and a small skull fracture, all of this was treatable with minor surgery.
He asked them to proceed with the necessary treatment.
Meanwhile, Denna looked up at Darpan, her grief giving way to a fierce resolve. "Promise me, Darpan," she whispered hoarsely, almost like a maniac.
Darpan nodded, "I will see to that."

By the time he finished things in the hospital, paying bills and all other things, it was already morning.
He went directly to his office in a soiled mood.
He wasn't as young as he used to be and lack of sleep bore him down heavily. Entering his office, he asked Mina to prepare breakfast.
As he slumped down in his chair Darpan couldn't help but curse.
"Damn! Father was right...too many wives and children lead to trouble..."
If it was needed, he could find anyone as long as he wished, but who knew being unbridled he would sow his seeds that would grow up quickly.
Except for the son and daughter from his first wife, all others were trash, causing trouble, laundering money, and playing around.
A few moments later, Mina came with breakfast.
Darpan took a mouthful and then drank the rest of the tea.
His body quivered, and a blissful expression appeared on his face.
He looked down at the cup in his hand, his eyes sharpening.
"This tea...I need to get it no matter what."
Determined, he opened his computer to finish some work, but the moment the screen lit up, a shocking scene flashed before him, slapping the shit out of him.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!"
