Chapter 313: 313:Enemies Meeting

Name:The Tycoon's Odyssey Author:

The sky above was clear as Linwei Ding, tall and imposing dressed in a tailored sharp black coat, stepped out of his car and into the grand lobby of the Emerald Hotel, one of the finest establishments located in the heart of USL.

His aura of sophistication matched his refined appearance and steely gaze. He moved with the quiet confidence of a man well accustomed to power while being followed by his discreet entourage of guards.

His keen and observant eyes took in the lavish surroundings before settling on a figure awaiting in the room to greet him.

Steven Hook, CEO of Pears Inc., stood watching his rival approach, a faint, predatory smile playing on his lips. As Linwei drew closer, Steven broke the silence, his tone cool and edged with calculated politeness. "So, you're finally here, Mr. Linwei."

"Yes, I am here," Linwei replied with a calm nod. "And let's drop the formalities. We already know each other well enough to pretend." His expression was composed, yet his eyes betrayed a hint of calculation as he studied the man before him.

The two titans of industry locked gazes.

One represented the face of premium, high-end products; the other, was a powerhouse in affordability and scale. Their rivalry had shaped the tech world for years, each vying for dominance in their own ways, until a disruptive newcomer, Next Gen Innovations had unexpectedly thrown both off course.

Within mere months, Next Gen had shattered records with sales in all festivals and lucrative holiday discounts during Christmas and New Year, surpassing its competitors.

Steven's expression hardened as he studied Linwei. If there was anyone he despised nearly as much as the relentless rise of Next Gen, it was this man.

Steven nodded, his gaze sharpening. "I understand. Pear is also under similar unrelenting pressure. But we might have an opportunity now. Next Gen is struggling, and has finally started taking hits from the local government." He leaned forward, his tone growing more intense. "This is our chance to strike back, Linwei. We can't miss this opportunity."

Linwei set his glass down, his expression serious. "Their alliance with Macrosoft makes things complicated. Every setback they face, Macrosoft cushions them, supporting them as if they're a single company. Breaking that kind of support would nearly be impossible."

Steven waved his hand dismissively. "There are other ways. If we can pressure them on multiple fronts, their global operations will begin to crack. Think about it—logistics, supply chains, licensing. We can interfere, slow down and perhaps even halt the distribution of their products in select markets. They're not immune. If we weaken the framework supporting their products, they'll be forced to spread themselves thin, handling problems all over the world. And when they're weakened..."

"Then we strike them," Linwei finished, a slow smile forming on his lips. "We'll use our respective government backings to impose regulations, sanctions, and trade blockades. Next Gen relies heavily on international sales. Once that flow gets interrupted, they'll begin to feel the real pressure. We'll let their stock plummet, and when it does, they'll have to make cuts. That's when we make our move."

Steven's smile widened as he nodded in agreement. "Exactly. Let's bring them down slowly, let the trap walls close in steadily. Once their resources are drained and they can't keep up with the demands of every market, they'll be vulnerable and we will take them down piece by piece."

Linwei chuckled, appreciating the plan's devious simplicity. "And who knows? We might even be able to find ways to recruit a few of their top talents along the way. There's always someone who is willing to jump ship if the price is right."

They each took a long drink, the shared satisfaction of ambition gleaming in their eyes. As their conversation deepened, it shifted toward strategy and logistics. They methodically mapped out their moves—how they could isolate, pressure, and ultimately dismantle their common rival. Each tactic was designed to erode Next Gen's stability, to exploit every vulnerability and hit them precisely where it would hurt the most.

Their meeting concluded with a firm handshake, a moment that symbolized the temporary alliance between two formidable giants. Their ambitions intertwined, they were now united in pursuit of a singular goal: the downfall of Next Gen Innovations.

As they parted ways for their respective rooms, plans were already in motion, and both were determined to see them through to the end.
