"What do you think about this one?" Grandma Mian asked passing the file towards Zhenyi who was grasping the file with one hand and shoving toast inside his mouth with another. So unladylike!
"Umm… this one looks better than the previous one but… he is too geeky, " Zhenyi replied.
Song Lily who had been sitting beside Grandma Mian looked at both of them and her facial expressions did not look good. She was not able to forget that because of this pair her husband had sent her back to Song's ancestral home to reflect on her mistakes.
"How about this one?" inquired Grandma Mian excitedly. "31. Single. 183 cm. CEO. Heavenly handsome. Isn't he best out of all?"
Zhenyi nodded. "But Grandma, you didn't tell me why you are going through the portfolios of these men?"
Not only Long Shaoming but also Song Lily paused their activities and looked up to expect the answer from the older lady. It was clear that she was planning something but the question was what?
"I'm looking for a good guy for my Alcina," Grandma Mian said, stunning everyone. "She is twenty-eight. I'm worried that no one will bother about her once I die. So, I want to see her married before I die. I want to give her hand to someone who will love and respect her like she deserved."
Long Jie, who seemed to have just entered the dining room, froze as soon as he heard Grandma's words.
"Grandma…"
"Mom…"
"What?" Grandma glanced at all of them. "It's not my fault that I can't trust any of you when it comes to my granddaughter."
"Grandma, have you asked about Alcina's opinion? Do you think that she would agree?"
Zhenyi wasn't was not trying to dissuade her. She was simply stating a fact. They knew Alcina's temper all too well.
"Of course, I have asked her," Grandma said as a matter of fact. "She said that she had no issues with blind dates and is willing to go on blind dates till she won't find the Mr. Right. I'm telling you Jie and Zhenyi, that the girl cares too much for me. Such a filial girl."
Long Jie raised his eyes slightly. He understood what Alcina was playing at.
But since Ryuu was married and both of them didn't want to take their relationship to another level, it gave Alcina the right to think about her. After all, she was twenty right and no longer young.
"As long as Alcina is willing, Grandma," Long Jie said while exiting the mansion.
____
Xin Mansion.
"Hello, beautiful people," Zhenyi shouted like an excited kid as soon as she entered the main door.
The butler of the house felt as if their young miss was possessed by a happy ghost. But who were they to complain?
"Aren't you giving me a little too many surprises these days?" Xin Yichen said as he came to embrace his daughter. It might appear like he was sulking but only he understood how happy he was to see her.
"Who's here to meet you?" Zhenyi retorted while returning the hug. "I'm here to meet my favorite niece and Yèyè."
Xin Yichen pulled her ear playfully. "You brat! Don't be like that son of mine!"
Zhenyi laughed. "Come on, Bà. It has been more than a month since you met your granddaughter. How long will you be angry with bro?"
"Stop being your bro's advocate or else I will be angry with you too!"
Zhenyi zipped her mouth and tossed the key in his pocket.
Faye, who had been witnessing the little scene since the beginning, giggled. The girl had changed so much in a single month that Zhenyi was finding it hard to believe. Truly, music was a therapy in itself. Not only did she now openly talk to everyone but also was willing to learn to play musical instruments from her grandfather. Observing Xin Yichen's loneliness made Faye believe that he needed someone to spend time with him or talk to him.
Although the girl had met her grandfather after five years since her birth, she still had a very deeper connection with him. Whoever said blood was thicker than water was completely correct.
Zhenyi walked towards her niece and kneeling down, she hugged her but not before poking her now chubby cheeks. "You see my queen, you have the power to make your Aunt kneel for you."
Tightening her arms around her neck, Faye gestured her to pick her up and so Zhenyi did. Only after giving several sloppy kisses to Zhenyi, Faye spoke to her.
"Hello, Aunt Zhenyi. I'm so happy to meet you," Faye said with a huge smile.
"Ah, baby. Me too." Zhenyi kissed her cheek.
"I will ask the chef to prepare something for you," Xin Yichen said to his daughter.
"Yeah, hurry Bà. I'm hungry. Plus, I and Faye are going out and will return only in the evening."
Before Xin Yichen could say anything else, Zhenyi cut him off by saying, "I and Jie will be joining you for dinner, Bà. Now, hurry up. I'm famished. Long family is not feeding your daughter well these days."
Rubbing his forehead, he called the butler to order him to prepare food for his scheming daughter.

"Where are we going?" Faye asked as soon as they settled inside the car.
"I planned a surprise for my little queen. So, you will have to guess what it is," Zhenyi replied with a mischievous smile.
Placing her little finger on her chin with a slight pout, Faye was in deep thoughts. But no matter how much she tried, she just couldn't guess where they were going.
Sighing, she asked in a baby voice making Zhenyi bite her chubby cheeks, "How about you give me a tiny clue?"
Faye even made a cute gesture with her finger.
Laughing, Zhenyi said, "My queen, if I give you a tiny clue, what kind of surprise will it be?"
"Surprise with a clue," Faye giggled.
