Ch. 46 Good Boy
Han Xingye fell ill for a while, and he was in a very bad mood. He heard that the school had notified his parents and that both his parents had come to the hospital, causing him to be even more irritable.
Han Shuo and Qin Ying only knew that he had an accident and rolled down the mountain, but they didn’t know what he did on the mountain, and they also didn’t know that Xie Jingxian was in the same hospital.
Although Han Shuo never said anything to him, Han Xingye knew in his heart that Han Shuo always wanted to take Xie Jingxian back to the Han family.
If Han Shuo found out that Xie Jingxian was here, what would happen, Han Xingye dared not imagine.
Han Xingye would never tolerate Xie Jingxian returning to the Han family. Given Han Shuo’s guilt towards Xie Jingxian’s mother, he didn’t know how he will compensate him. With such a large family business of the Han family, what will be left to him in the end?
Han Shuo and Qin Ying were in the ward, and he was very worried that Han Shuo and Xie Jingxian would meet, causing him to feel uneasy all the time. In the end, he couldn’t take it anymore and said he wanted to go out for a walk.
Qin Ying was very distressed that her son was hurt so much, and naturally followed him wherever he went, and she even pulled Han Shuo together.
The family of three went out for a walk. After a while, Han Xingye couldn’t stand Qin Ying’s nagging in his ear, so he lost his temper at Qin Ying and was scolded by Han Shuo.
Han Shuo looks gentle and elegant, but in fact, he never even smiles when he is at home. Han Xingye is not afraid of anything, but he is afraid of Han Shuo, or that he will be reprimanded by Han Shuo.
He took a deep breath and decided to go back to the ward to sleep. Just as he was about to leave, he saw someone that he absolutely hated out of the corner of the eye— Xie Jingxian, who was standing not far away.
Han Xingye’s eyes flashed with panic, and he immediately turned to look at Han Shuo. Seeing that Han Shuo hadn’t noticed Xie Jingxian, he was relieved but he did not dare to let go of his dangling heart.
Han Xingye didn’t dare to stay here any longer, so he raised his hand and rubbed his forehead, saying to Qin Ying next to him, “Mom, I’m a little tired, let’s go back.”
Qin Ying gave up her career after she became pregnant and she stayed at home to be a housewife. She doted on her son very much. Now that she heard he was tired she immediately supported him and said, “Okay, let’s go back now.”
Han Xingye nodded. He eagerly stepped forward, and at the same time didn’t forget to pay attention to Han Shuo’s movements. Seeing that Han Shuo was walking very slowly, he urged, “Dad, lets go back.”
Han Shuo said, “Coming.” He sorted out his suit, turned his head inadvertently, and happened to look at where Xie Jingxian was. With just one look, he seemed to be frozen, and couldn’t move his eyes away.
When Han Xingye saw this, his heart tightened. He called Dad, but it was too late. The next moment he saw Han Shuo striding towards Xie Jingxian.
Qin Ying called out Han Shuo’s name, and she was still wondering where he was going. But when she saw Xie Jingxian standing not far away, her expression changed. Qin Ying had once asked someone to investigate Xie Jingxian in private, so she naturally knew what Xie Jingxian looked like.
Qin Ying’s hand holding Han Xingye’s arm couldn’t help tightening, causing Han Xingye to groan out in pain. She hurriedly let go, but her eyes never left Xie Jingxian.
Xie Jingxian didn’t expect to meet Han Shuo under such circumstances, and still facing the picture of their family of three getting along warmly.
Xie Jingxian was about to leave when he saw Han Shuo walking towards him.
Han Shuo had undisguised excitement and surprise on his face. He stood still in front of Xie Jingxian and wanted to reach out and touch his cheek.
Xie Jingxian frowned, took a step back, and avoided Han Shuo’s hand.
A look of hurt flashed in Han Shuo’s eyes. He lowered his arms embarrassingly, but still looked at Xie Jingxian. He whispered, “You, you are very similar to your mother.”
There was obsession in his eyes, “Especially your eyes, they look exactly like her.”
Hearing Han Shuo mention his mother, Xie Jingxian’s eyes suddenly turned cold, and he tried his best not to lose his temper. Xie Jingxian didn’t give any response to Han Shuo, just turned around and left.
“Jingxian, wait a minute.” Han Shuo pulled Xie Jingxian back and noticed that Xie Jingxian’s wrist was wrapped in bandages.
Xie Jingxian was wearing a hospital gown with blue and white stripes. The clothes were loose, but they still looked good on him. The soft fabric showed a young man’s unique handsomeness.
Han Shuo asked with concern, “What’s wrong with you, why are you in the hospital? Where are you uncomfortable? Tell me what happened to you, I…”
Xie Jingxian withdrew his hand and said indifferently, “No need.”
Han Shuo wanted to say something else when he saw Han Xingye and Qin Ying come over.
Han Xingye stared at Xie Jingxian, his eyes seemed to want to eat him. With a fake smile on her face, Qin Ying looked at Xie Jingxian and said to Han Shuo, “Who is this?”
Just as Han Shuo was about to speak, he heard a warm voice from a distance calling Xie Jingxian’s name.
Han Shuo turned his head and saw a seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy walking towards him.
The boy was wearing a hospital gown like Xie Jingxian, with bandages on his body, and a Band-Aid on his face.
But he was different from Xie Jingxian, who was expressionless. This boy had a smile on his face, and he looked very gentle and probably has a good temper.
Han Shuo wondered who this child was, was he Xie Jingxian’s friend?
Seeing the visitor, Xie Jingxian’s originally cold eyes turned gentle, he ignored Han Shuo, Qin Ying and the others, and walked towards the visitor.
Xie Jingxian said, “Why did you come out. Why don’t accompany uncle and aunt?”
This boy was none other than Jiang Juan.
Jiang Juan saw Xie Jingxian and Han Xingye from a distance, and beside them—a middle-aged man and woman. Although Jiang Juan had never met Han Shuo and Qin Ying, in this case, he can guess their identities.
Jiang Juan only glanced at the three members of the Han family, then looked away, treating them as transparent people. Jiang Juan smiled and said, “I’m here to find you for dinner. I’m not eating at the hospital at noon, we’ll go out to eat.”
Xie Jingxian said, “Okay.”
The two walked in the direction of the ward, and instead of looking at Han Shuo behind him, he glanced at Han Xingye.
Han Shuo stood there, looking at Xie Jingxian’s back with some hesitation, but in the end he didn’t catch up.
On the way to the ward, Jiang Juan said to Xie Jingxian, “Let’s eat with my parents at noon, you don’t have to be restrained, my mother has a good temper, and my father…”
When he said this, Jiang Juan paused, Xie Jingxian looked over, Jiang Juan scratched his hair, and said, “My dad is a bit fierce, but he is still a good person.”
Xie Jingxian nodded.
088 has been quite for a while, causing him to exhale a sigh of relief. Jiang Juan was a little fortunate in his heart that the sudden meeting with Han Shuo did not have much impact on Xie Jingxian, but Xie Jingxian must not be in a good mood now.
Jiang Juan didn’t want Xie Jingxian to immerse himself in his thoughts and feel sad alone, so he wanted to lead him to say a few more words, so he said, “Hey, what do you mean by this sound, have you seen my dad before?”
Xie Jingxian looked ahead and said, “I haven’t seen him before, but I heard Xu Rang mention him.”
Jiang Juan said, “Huh?” With an ominous premonition in his heart, he asked, “What did he say?”
Xie Jingxian said, “He said that every winter and summer vacation, you will be severely cleaned up by your father. And the deterrent effect is very good, and it can last until the start of the school.”
Jiang Juan: “…”
Since he transmigrated here and approached Xie Jingxian, Xu Rang had nothing to do, so he started chatting and bragging with Bai Guang and the others in the front seat, and occasionally brought up his old affairs.
That Bai Guang seemed to be well disguised, but anyone with a discerning eye could see that he was Xie Jingxian’s fanboy. The interesting things Xu Rang said were probably all passed on to Xie Jingxian by him.
Jiang Juan said, “It’s not like you don’t know about that boy, Xu Rang, he keeps on blabbering if he has nothing to do. He’s not reliable at all, don’t listen to his nonsense. My dad is actually reluctant to hit me, I’m the baby of our family, they love me very much.”
Xie Jingxian hummed, even his expression looked serious, but Jiang Juan always felt that he was being perfunctory. He chased after Xie Jingxian and said, “What I said is true, look at me, not only am I good looking, but I also have a very smart mind, and I am diligent and motivated, ranking in the top 100 of the grade, how could my dad be angry? That bad boy Xu Rang is deliberately ruining my image, you are not allowed to listen to him, and quickly forget it for me.”
Xie Jingxian let Jiang Juan pull his arm in a completely laissez-faire attitude. When he raised his eyes and looked over, a small smile flashed in his eyes, as he said softly, “Got it, good boy.”
Jiang Juan stood there in a daze, and when he reacted, he felt his ears heat up.
Was he being molested?
Jiang Juan was very unconvinced, he roared “Xie Jingxian” and rushed over.
Xie Jingxian smiled and hugged Jiang Juan to prevent him from hurting himself, and at the same time felt that the cold and heavy emotions in his heart were swept away.
The two of them went back to the ward while making a fuss, and when they were about to get to the door, Jiang Juan stopped and tidied up with his clothes.
This man had just said that he was not afraid of his father. Now, he was clearly afraid of being punished. Xie Jingxian’s eyes showed a smile and a faint envy, but he hid it well.
Xie Jingxian thoughtfully stretched out his hand to arrange Jiang Juan’s collar, and after confirming that there was nothing wrong, he pushed open the door of the ward and walked in.
