136 Report
“Are there any security camera here?” Lotte asked as she twirled her pen. She was not really interested in writing a report because it has always been a job that she disliked so much.
“No.” Dylan shook his head.
“You mean, you have already destroyed it.” Kyle glanced at the ceiling above them. There was a wet hidden camera that Dylan had disabled. By flooding the current, he had caused a short circuit that directly shut it down.
Dylan shrugged.
Anyway, that thing would never work again.
It was useless to put bugs in the room where awakened people gather. They would be able to sense these bugs.
“Since there are these gems in the research institute, it means that Mr. Yuri should have a lot of these gems, right?” Jake speculated as he began to write.
“Yes, it’s estimated so.” Kyle knew that there were many of these gems and it would be impossible to monopolize them unless they were able to get the source. However, he didn’t know the exact location of the source.
.....
Given his ability and attitude at that time, there were already a lot of voices that didn’t agree with him joining the researchers. This source was an even more important matter, so there was no way that these people would be willing to let Kyle knew.
“Damn, can he even use all of them?” Jake felt a bit jealous. If he had a few more of grey colored gems, it would be even better.
Kyle glanced at Jake and then turned to look at Kate. “Little Kitty, the gems.”
“Meow.”
Inside that box, there was actually a gem embedded for each element at the bottom of the box. Kate found it because space element seal was basically useless for her. With her current rank, she could detect it easily.
Thus, she had put the gems into her space.
But at this time, Kyle didn’t tell the others about this.
“Wait, you found more gems?” Lotte was stunned.
“Yes, but I’ll only give it to you on our next mission. Taking several gems at once will reduce the effect,” Kyle admitted frankly.
They had only taken the first gem a few days ago. If they were to take the gem again, the effect will be reduced. This was something that Kyle had personally experience, so he wanted them to consolidate their ability first.
Besides, there were countless crystals that they had obtained from slaughtering those giant mutated ants inside that nest.
Jake sighed. “Well, if there are any mission related to those ants, I definitely had to come because my parents won’t let me get away from it.”
“True.” Lotte also sighed.
“General Ryan, I’m not your daughter,” Kate said seriously.
General Ryan was surprised at Kate’s eloquent words. She didn’t look like an ordinary little girl. He thought for a moment and then grinned, “Then call me Uncle? At the very least, it should be appropriate to call me as an uncle, right?”
Kate blinked her eyes.
She considered for a moment before replying, “Uncle Ryan.”
If she only considered her identity as an ordinary person, she was naturally not qualified to call General Ryan with such close title. But since she’s also Kyle’s little cat, it stand to reason that she could do this.
Still, Kate felt somewhat conflicted.
“If you’re her uncle, what should she call me, then?” Kyle was displeased.
“Kyle,” Kate replied without thinking.
She had gotten used to call him with his name directly when she was still a cat. Anyway, she couldn’t call him with the title professor because it would reveal the fact that she used to be his student.
Kyle looked at Kate and then raised his hand to poke her forehead.
“Hey!” Kate clasped her forehead and glared at Kyle.
“A little kid should learn manner.” Kyle calmly brought Kate away from the living room and headed to the kitchen. “Now wash your hand. It’s almost time for dinner.”
Kate glared at Kyle once more before obediently washed her hand. The sink was quite tall for her but with Kyle holding her, she could reach it easily. Though, Kate honestly thought that she had become a real little kid like this.
Kate could only sigh internally.
After they had finished washing their hands, General Ryan had already put the food on the table and looked at the two children in front of him. He had been wondering how it would feel to have a daughter and now seeing the cute little girl, General Ryan regretted not asking his wife to have a daughter back then.
If he had, maybe Kyle wouldn’t be so lonely.
“Eat properly.” Kyle then helped Kate to hold the spoon before he was also busy to eat on his own. However, he would still pay attention to the little girl beside him from time to time.
Kate could only sigh deeply when she found out that controlling her little hands were also very difficult. After being a cat for some time and now this hard to control body, Kate felt that she had to adapt continuously.
Did she have some kind of transformation ability?
This changes kept on occurring and this annoy Kate greatly.
“Once you’re done, don’t forget to wash your hand,” General Ryan also reminded. He thought of the time when Kyle was young and laughed lightly. At that time, Kyle was such a troublemaker who only wanted to run around after every meal.
It was really hard for him to pester his own son to wash his hand.
“I know.” Kyle then picked Kate up to the bathroom to wash her hand again. At this time, Kate had completely accepted being treated like a little kid.
When they returned, Kyle then brought her towards General Ryan’s study room, which was located on the first floor.
