When Chi Yu arrived at the hospital, Song Luokui was already holding the test results in her hands. She sat on the chair, looking somewhat dazed, as if she couldn't believe it.

Chi Yu thought the test results must be very bad. His legs went weak and he "thudded" to his knees on the ground. Both Song Luokui and Song Luosheng looked over at him. Chi Yu quickly scrambled to his feet and walked over to Song Luokui. She was about to ask if he was alright.

Chi Yu, his eyes reddening, hugged her tightly. "It's okay, it's okay. I'll find you the best specialists."

Song Luokui: ??

Song Luosheng pulled him away, frowning. "What are you talking about? What do you think happened to my sister? She's perfectly fine."

Chi Yu let go of Song Luokui. She handed him the test results. Chi Yu took one look and froze, remaining stunned for quite a while. Song Luokui had to nudge him before he came back to his senses.

He hugged her tightly again. "Is it true? Really?"

Song Luokui smiled and hugged him back. "Mm-hmm, it's true."

Tears welled up in Chi Yu's eyes - tears of joy. "Thank you, thank you, darling!"

Song Luosheng interjected from the side: "Don't hug her so tightly. What if it affects the baby?"

Only then did Chi Yu loosen his grip. "Are you okay? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

Song Luokui placed her hand on her belly and shook her head. "No, I'm fine."

She glanced at the time and realized it was getting late. "Shall we go to Grandpa's house now? We might be running out of time."

Chi Yu supported her as she stood up. Song Luosheng also came over to help her. "Let's walk slowly, no rush. Grandpa will understand when he knows."

Song Luokui looked at both of them: "...I'm not that fragile. Stop supporting me like this. You're making me feel like I'm disabled." She shook off their hands and turned to Chi Yu: "You just got back. Don't you want to freshen up? My brother and I can go to the venue first. Why don't you go get ready?"

Chi Yu was in a bit of a disheveled state due to his rush and worry. He looked at himself and agreed. "Alright, I'll see you to the car first. Then I'll go freshen up and join you very soon."

"Okay, okay."

After seeing Song Luokui into the car, Chi Yu instructed the driver and Song Luosheng to take good care of her. He then rented a nearby room to tidy himself up before driving to Grandpa's house.

In the car, Song Luokui folded the test results and put them in a paper bag. "How about I give this to Grandpa as his birthday gift?"

Song Luosheng: "Of course! Grandpa will be thrilled!" The whole family would be overjoyed.

Because Song Luokui was pregnant, the driver drove more slowly. By the time Song Luokui arrived at Grandpa's house, Chi Yu had just pulled up behind them, with gifts for Grandpa in the trunk.

Song Luokui shook her head, "I'm fine. Nothing uncomfortable."

Yan Sui: "Mother-in-law, it looks like we need to start looking for a nutritionist for them. Oh, and we should start searching for a nanny too."

Sheng Rong: "Yes, yes, you're right. We'll discuss it thoroughly later."

"Mm-hmm."

After the birthday feast, Chi Yu took Song Luokui home. Sheng Rong watched the two leave: "Time flies so fast. We're going to be grandparents."

Song Moqian put his arm around her shoulders: "Indeed."

Song Luosheng chimed in: "I'm going to be an uncle too."

Sheng Rong: "If you'd get your act together, we could be grandparents on your side too, and you could be a father."

Song Luosheng: ...How did this turn to him?

Meanwhile, back at home, Song Luokui sat on the sofa. Chi Yu had already lowered his head to her belly and started listening. "I'm your daddy."

Song Luokui laughed, "It's just an embryo right now."

Chi Yu: "If I talk more, maybe it will sense me."

Song Luokui patted his head, "I'm tired. I want to rest now."

Chi Yu: "The housekeeper has already prepared the bath. Let me help you there first."

"Okay."

A few weeks later, Song Luokui went for another check-up. The doctor said hesitantly, "It might be twins. It will be a bit harder on the mother."

Song Luokui: "Ah?"

Chi Yu, however, gripped her hand tightly. He had heard the doctor's mention of difficulty.

A month later, during another checkup, it was confirmed to be twins. Everyone in the family was overjoyed, but Chi Yu had been harboring a vague sense of worry all along.

In the days that followed, Song Luokui finally experienced what pregnancy was truly like. She felt constantly tired and became extremely sensitive to fishy smells. After the third month, she even started vomiting. Every night, she would wake up craving strange foods, and surprisingly found herself enjoying things she had previously disliked.

A nutritionist had been arranged, and high heels were now a thing of the past. Her collection of flat shoes had grown significantly, along with several pairs of non-slip slippers.
