"Yes, that's right."
"Wow!"
Do-gyul smiled brightly, as if he had been waiting for this day. After all, he had been unfairly confined to the hospital for years, and now he was finally able to live with his family. It was only natural that he was excited.
The only problem was that he wouldn’t be able to live peacefully with his one and only brother. Well, it would work out somehow. After all, my little brother is an S-rank hunter. What could possibly go wrong?
"Let's take Yong-sik with us before we go."
"Okay!"
Do-gyul nodded and clung to my side as we left the training room and made our way to Yong-sik's ward.
The moment we stepped outside, Do-gyul looked around with wide eyes, as if everything were new to him.
He had probably spent most of his time indoors, rarely going outside except for the occasional walk between his patient room, the consultation room, and the training area.
Having been sick since his awakening, he hadn’t gotten out much and had focused solely on training to control his abilities after arriving here. I patted his back as he continued to gaze in awe while we walked.
“Come on, it's this way.”
“Ah, okay!”
The hospital and the guild headquarters were on the same site, but they were far enough apart that we needed a car to get there.
As we settled into the waiting limousine, Do-gyul looked around in awe at the plush interior, his small head swiveling from side to side.
This kid is clearly showing that it's his first time riding in a limousine. I wondered if I had been as awestruck as Do-gyul during my first ride.
“...”
The large limousine glided silently along the road until we arrived in front of the Odin Guild headquarters. After Do-gyul admired the limousine’s automatic door once again, we stepped out of the car.
“Welcome.”
Yeon Seung-won greeted Do-gyul and me with a stoic expression.
"Room for Hunter Han Do-gyul is ready. Please take a look and let me know if you need any additional changes or have any special requests."
I nodded in response to Yeon Seung-won's businesslike remark, but Do-gyul turned to me with a surprised expression and asked—
“Am I not sharing a room with you, Hyung?”
“What?”
I was so shocked that I almost choked on my words as I glanced at Do-gyul.
“What are you talking about? How old are you?”
“...”
“You should have your own room.”
Then Do-gyul’s expression turned noticeably dejected. I was only stating the obvious, yet somehow I felt as though I had said something hurtful or had bullied him. With a troubled look, I turned to Do-gyul before speaking again.
"That... it’s just the next room, okay? If you’re bored, come visit Hyung's room."
Next room... it’s the next room, isn’t it? Glancing sneakily at Yeon Seung-won, I saw the quick-witted man nodding silently in confirmation.
“Really...?”
“Yeah, and there are plenty of gaming consoles in your room. You might not even think about Hyung.”
When I glanced at Yeon Seung-won again with a “right?” look, he nodded mechanically in response. He seemed to have listened well to my request.
With that, I reassured Do-gyul and entered the building. When we reached the top floor in front of the warp portal, Do-gyul's eyes widened in surprise once again.
"It's fine. It's just like a door."
"O-Okay."
Do-gyul would need to get accustomed to using portals if he was going to live as a hunter. Given that his main skills were all mental-type abilities, I hoped he wouldn’t have to enter dungeons, but one never knows what might happen.
A flash of blue light flooded my vision. I felt a wave of nausea wash over me once again, but I did my best to suppress it. Meanwhile, Do-gyul looked around with indifference. I turned my head, relieved to see that he didn’t appear to suffer from motion sickness.
"Yi-jin-ah!"
Eden had an expression that clearly conveyed, “That can’t be true.”
It was understandable; Do-gyul had used his ability so effortlessly.
What’s wrong with Do-gyul? We haven’t even entered the accommodation yet, and he’s already causing trouble.
As I stood there, feeling flustered, Yeon Seung-won approached me from a distance where he had been watching.
"Let's go in first."
“Ah, yes.”
Yeon Seung-won wore a blank expression, as if he considered this a trivial matter. I couldn’t tell exactly what he was thinking since he always had an expressionless face.
Regardless, I walked toward the accommodation with Do-gyul, who was still pouting. We made our way through the gate, passed the garden, and entered the front door that Yeon Seung-won had politely opened for us.
“...Hyung.”
“Soo-hyun-a.”
Unlike Eden, Kang Soo-hyun greeted us in the living room, as if he had been waiting for me inside the accommodation. He seemed to be fidgeting in the living room for some reason, but he quickly approached me as soon as he noticed my arrival.
“Are you okay, Hyung? You were hospitalised for a long time.”
“I’m fine. I’m completely okay.”
“Are you sure... Hm?”
Kang Soo-hyun also noticed Do-gyul late like Eden, probably because Do-gyul's short stature made him less visible among the towering S-class hunters.
Do-gyul was strangely hiding behind me with a wary expression on his face. He frowned as he looked at Kang Soo-hyun, who also stared back at Do-gyul for a moment.
“Wow, you really look just like Hyung.”
“Right? His name is Do-gyul. Do-gyul-a, you need to say hello."
“...”
I grabbed Do-gyul's shoulders and applied subtle pressure, but he resisted. What was going on? Could it be that Do-gyul had gotten stronger now that he was awakened as an S-class? I forced a smile while trembling slightly.
“Haha, he is a bit shy...”
“Aha...”
Kang Soo-hyun’s gaze collided with Do-gyul’s, and I felt a surge of anxiety as I watched Do-gyul. It would be a big problem if he reacted the same way he had with Eden.
Surprisingly, nothing happened; Do-gyul remained silent.
Thinking back, Kang Soo-hyun also possessed a mental skill, and unlike Eden, he was an S-class hunter. It would likely be challenging for Do-gyul to use his ability on Kang Soo-hyun unless he was truly determined.
"Hunter Han Do-gyul's room is this way."
Yeon Seung-won smoothly interjected, and I nodded in agreement as I walked with Do-gyul. It seemed best to separate them before anything could happen.
“...!”
However, as we walked, we suddenly stopped in our tracks. An unexpected figure had appeared and Do-gyul’s eyes widened the moment he saw him.
“Huh? Kang Yoo-hyun.”
“...”
"You’re back too?"
Kang Yoo-hyun appeared to be experiencing even stronger side effects than before from receiving my auxiliary skill twice. I had heard that his hospital stay was prolonged like mine, but it seemed he had been discharged around the same time.
“Hyung...”
“Do-gyul?”
At that moment, Do-gyul started shaking. He groaned and doubled over.
“Ugh...”
“...Do-gyul-a!”
I quickly reacted, catching Do-gyul as he collapsed.
