Yu Shu chuckled, "That's such an old trope."

"Old or not doesn't matter, as long as it's satisfying."

"Well, keep waiting for the 'fool' to come crashing in then."

Ou Doudou watched the chaos gleefully, clapping and cheering them on, "Tickle her, she's ticklish!"

Little Dou'e's small head had no idea what was happening. She just knew there were many beautiful ladies who really liked her and gave her meat. She wagged her tail happily around their feet.

After tiring themselves out at the end, the five girls collapsed onto the giant wool rug to rest. Dou'e wanted in on the fun too. She nosed around until she cleared a spot near Yu Shu and flopped onto her back with her legs in the air, mimicking them.

"My phone's on the sofa."

During his break, Shen Youlin saw the photos Yu Shu posted on Moments. It was a 9-panel collage, each shot radiating joy and delight. The cake, birthday hats, happy birthday balloons on the wall, Yu Shu surrounded by her beaming friends in the middle - each was a picture of happiness.

Some shots even had Dou'e photobombing, the silly dog grinning with her tongue out.

Today was her birthday.

Shen Youlin called WeiBo, "Get me a plane, I want to go back to..."
