Chapter 192 36.1 Padding?

It's been a few days since that debacle back at Withermoon Manor, and except for Shizu taking her supposed slight against us harder than she should, things have been moving smoothly so far. We were back on the [Empire's Wrath], and we were making our way through the Deep without too much trouble popping up. And as much as my min-maxing self would've invited monsters and these Vermes to attack, I was far from the mood to even consider wanting to fight again.

Especially since I've barely even looked at my stats for the past few days.

[MOVES AVAILABLE]

"I have a lot of stuff to do," I murmured to myself as I looked at my screen. "New [Moves]... New [Quirks]... Probably even new [Manifest] stuff."

Sitting up on my bed, we were currently anchored out for the night as I stared at my stats. It was high time that I did some arranging and reallocating, and what better way to do so than in the comfort and safety of my own room?

"[SS1]"

[DEX: 21-3]

[VIT: 27+3]

[INT: 8]

[LUK: 5]

[AVAILABLE STATS: 18]

Eighteen whole stats.... I should probably just dump it all to [VIT] and [DEX]. More health wouldn't hurt, and I was pretty sure that I wouldn't get any new [Moves] that would even need me to spend [MP] on them. Maybe even a sprinkle on [AGI] too.

Okay, that was stats done. Got a decent amount of health from it, which meant more damage per shot for my [Manifest]. And speaking of which... "[SS2]"

MANIFEST QUIRKS:

[SS1][STAT SCREEN 2][SS3]

[MANIFEST: Blanc and Noir]

[MANIFEST LEVEL: 4/10]

[MENTAL FORTITUDE: 3]

[MANIFEST POINTS: 3]

[MANIFEST QUIRKS]

[Blood Bullets: [Blanc and Noir] utilizes the [Somatic's] blood as ammunition. Drains 3% of Max [HP] per shot.]

[Negative Damage: [Blood Bullets] can heal Allies for the amount of [HP] expended per shot.]

[Anemic: [Manifest] usage has made the [Somatic] prone to weakness. -5 [VIT]]

[Hemoglobinology: Continued use of [Blanc and Noir] has made the [Somatic's] blood thicker. +10% of Current Health is added as [ATK] [er shot]

At my command, the earlier window dissipated with a chime, replaced with yet another window that I've rarely even seen. Looking at my points, I guess I now had three of those [Manifest Points]? I didn't even know what they did yet. Also, my [Mental Fortitude] also went up. I was pretty sure that was sitting on a one the last time I saw it.

"Wow," I whistled out in amazement. "That new quirk is pretty strong..."

[Hemoglobinology] was a weird name for a quirk, but an extra ten percent of my current health as damage was pretty damn good. It would let me scale off my [VIT] really hard, making me a pretty tanky DPS even though every shot still drains me of health.

"I'm not gonna complain about that." With a smirk, I closed the window. There was still a bit more to do. "[SS3]"

[Flesh Heap: Adds +1 VIT for every Boss defeated]

[Day Lover: Prevents degenerative effects of Light by 20%]

Okay, I had to select four, but most of these were pretty trash in my opinion. That [Day Lover] was kind of curious though. What was it even talking about? Some kind of future mechanic, I guess?

"What to choose among the garbage..."

I suppose there was no harm in taking the generic stuff. I didn't even realize that my inventory space wasn't infinite, and sleeping was pretty much impossible for me.

[Day Lover: Prevents degenerative effects of Light by 20%]

Okay, that's gonna have to be it, I guess. I had no choice but to get the generic ones, and I might as well take the [Day Lover] just in case. It wasn't like I could choose anything better than it anyway.

"Last one... [MOV]"

[MOV]

[MOVES]

[Level 4: Bloodwork: Passive. Causes the Somatic's blood to thicken. Adds the amount of [HP] drained every shot to damage.]

[Level 20: Shroud: Covers the Somatic with a barrier of blood. Costs 80 [MP] and 20 [HP] Gives Invulnerability for 5 seconds] Requires Manifest Point

[Level 24: Iron Spread: Combos with Blood Shot. Fires out a barrage of blood out in an arc. Deals 80% of normal shots]

[Level 28: Marked for Death: Debuff. Marks an Enemy for death. Killing the marked enemy will recover 20% of the Somatic's [HP]]

[Level 32: Hemolysis: Combos with Iron Spread. Fires out a stream of blood at the target, dealing consistent damage. Lasts 2 seconds.]

[Level 36: Hematopoiesis: Passive. Increases Somatic's [HP] regen by 10% of current [HP]]

I raised an eyebrow at the two new [Moves] I just got. Granted, one of them was a passive, but both of them were really damn good.

"Guess that's that then."

I'll just ignore that I have literally no equipment still. Seriously... As soon as we find some kind of vendor, I'll get rid of these boring clothes.
