Ch. 20 - Mo Ge's Eternal Faith

"Du Xu, can you hold on?"Zhao Zicheng also gasped for breath, his body bearing a few claw marks as well.

But compared to the initial fear, his eyes now held a hint of stubbornness.

Less fear and more determination.

After clashing a few times...

This so-called demon didn't seem as terrifying as it appeared.

It felt like pain, and it felt like fear too.

Although the dog-like demon didn't show any external wounds, its condition didn't seem good either. Despite the growing restlessness in its eyes, it refrained from attacking again so easily.

"Now that I think about it, Yusheng was really ahead of his time."

"He always carries a knife wherever he goes!"

"Damn it!"

"I wonder where that guy went. If he comes back now, I'd call him 'Dad'!"

Zhao Zicheng spat out blood, covering his chest.

In the next moment.

A figure emerged from the darkness, standing opposite the group and forming a pincer attack on the dog-like demon.

Zhao Zicheng was taken aback.

The words he had just uttered seemed to echo in the factory, reverberating with an echo.

'I'd call him 'Dad'...'

'Call him Dad.'"

'Dad...'

With each echoing repetition, the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly bizarre.

Something just didn't seem right.

What had initially been an excited exclamation from Du Xu had turned into a family reunion of sorts.

Even Yusheng blinked, hesitating as he looked at Zhao Zicheng. "This... doesn't seem quite appropriate."

"..."

"Get lost!"

"Now's not the time to say that, where the hell were you?"

Zhao Zicheng was a bit embarrassed and irritated.

Normally very refined, he couldn't resist using profanity now, as if it would make him appear bolder and help cover up his previous behavior.

"I went to the bathroom."

Yusheng scratched his head.

"You didn't hear all that commotion?"

"I don't believe you, you're lying!"

Zhao Zicheng's mind raced, wanting to expose Yusheng's lie.

"Uh." Yusheng simply nodded calmly. "I'm actually not very good at lying, sorry for that."

...

Yusheng's candidness caught Zhao Zicheng off guard.

Knowing who Yusheng was, he promptly changed the subject. "Hey, pass me a dagger."

Yusheng seemed hesitant.

Walking past the dog demon, he approached the others, with a hint of embarrassment, he cautiously asked, "Um, could you guys pretend to be seriously injured?"

Everyone was confused.

Du Xu instinctively shifted his body slightly, distancing himself from Yusheng even if it meant getting closer to the dog demon.

For some reason, he felt safer near the demon.

Zhao Zicheng's body tensed up.

Staring intently at the agitated and potentially dangerous dog demon in front of him, he whispered through gritted teeth, "What are you trying to do?"

"Just..."

"Can you guys fight with him again?"

"But this time, more ferociously."

"Focus on attacking, not defending."

Yusheng pondered, breaking down and rephrasing his thoughts before repeating them.

Zhao Zicheng swore that his head was spinning.

He was utterly bewildered.

His entire being was in chaos.

Who knew what kind of madness Yusheng was up to again, acting all wild?

If he weren't certain that he couldn't beat Yusheng and had a dog demon in front of him, he might have already grabbed Yusheng by the collar and roared 'Are you crazy?' at him.

As the dog demon's instinctive beastly thoughts once again suppressed its remaining rationality, a bright idea flashed through Zhao Zicheng's mind!

"Ah!"

"I'm in so much pain!"

With that, Zhao Zicheng suddenly collapsed to the ground, his mouth still wailing in agony.

It looked like he was suffering from cramps---a pitiful sight.

Although the others weren't sure what was happening, they were well aware of Yusheng's overwhelming strength.

If Yusheng said they were seriously injured, then they were seriously injured.

In less than three seconds, the only one still standing in the room was Du Xu. Sᴇaʀᴄh the NovᴇlFɪre .ɴᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

Du Xu locked eyes with Yusheng from a distance, they exchanged a bewildered glance.

Eventually, Du Xu's eyes revealed a hint of helplessness. He gave a somewhat perfunctory "Ouch" a few times before leaning against the wall, striking a slightly handsome pose.

Yusheng froze, glancing at a certain monitor in the corner with questioning eyes.

Soon, the monitor moved slightly in a gesture of confirmation.

Yusheng let out a sigh of relief, his expression quickly turned solemn.

"Such a ferocious demon beast!"

"Trying to kill my comrades!"

"If I hadn't arrived in time, I'm afraid that a total of twelve lives would've been lost in your hands!"

The emphasis on the number twelve was quite noticeable.

"As a young individual under Mo Ge's guidance, we should be unwavering and pledge to defend our homeland to the death!"

He rushed with a low growl towards Yu Sheng, "Tsk tsk. Listen, how well said! This video was shot on the desk of Mo Ge's finance department, wouldn't it be a touching scene every minute? Wouldn't the money just come? It's just that his acting skills are too clumsy. It's like reading a line. "  It's a pity that this part of the speech is lost. The driver sat in the monitoring room with an expression of admiration and even showed a modest attitude towards learning and watching with relish. He was not dissatisfied until the dog demon interrupted Yu Sheng's words, covering his forehead angrily, he said, "My fault. You should control that dog monster first! "

"The tides were overturned the first time we cooperated. Will this little guy look down on me and not cooperate with me in the future? It's too fake to regain control now. " What to do... The driver kept muttering, thinking of a way to save the scene. As for monitoring Members A and B has long since become numb and turned a blind eye to the scene, God knows how many times their fragile hearts have suffered major shocks in just one day. Obviously, they're just a clerk who records data and makes forms, why let them go through the darkness of human nature? How shameless!

How shameless!

Even a little jealous.

"It is my duty to protect my comrades."

"Fulfilling our duty is not about being courageous, it is about following Mo Ge's guidance!"

"May the faith in Mo Ge endure!"

"May the human race's fire burn eternally!"

Yusheng's rehearsed lines echoed from the monitor once more.

The driver's mouth widened, his eyes were as wide as saucers as he sat there dumbfounded.

On the screen.

The dog demon was now in a pitiable sight, covered in wounds that had appeared in the span of half a minute and continuously dripping blood. It had lost its strength and was lying on the ground.

Meanwhile, Yusheng was astride the demon's back, his handheld crossbow pressed against the demon's forehead.

He continued reciting loudly.
