Chapter 825: The Second Etcher

Bright blue eyes stared right at Yvonne before shifting their attention to the tall and mighty beast next to her.

Demon’s crimson irises were fixed on this figure and the same could be said for everyone else in this area.

“And who is this?” The little girl was the first to break the silence that permeated through the air around them.

Immediately, Yvonne realized that her enthusiasm was clear through her voice, making it more squeaky than it usually was.

This resulted in her coughing to alleviate some of her embarrassment after what she had just done.

Damien raised his brow at her while Topher let out a chortle which he swallowed soon after he found the owner of those amethyst eyes glowering at him.

‘I shouldn’t bother with them.’ She declared before reverting her attention to the little beast next to Damien that had its gaze still fixed on Demon.

.....

She already had an idea about the identity of this creature who had appeared here today, nonetheless wanted to gain more information about it.

She raised her eyes towards its most probable master and met the gaze of the young boy with forest green irises.

“My etcher, Aster.” Damien muttered those words to introduce this new figure who was now seated on the grass next to him.

Yvonne’s attention once again went back to the little beast and nodded in acceptance of the name she had heard.

Pure white fluffy fur covered the entire body while the only contrasting colors were that black button-like nose and those sparkling blue eyes that accentuated the monochromatic figure of the etcher.

When she had first laid eyes on the adorable figure, the name of a certain breed of dog from her previous world had popped up in her mind.

The Samoyed was a medium-sized dog with a thick, white, double-layered fur coat which was often found in cold regions.

Yvonne, as a child, yearned for such cute and squishy pets but her grandfather had never allowed her to have one as he felt that they would only weaken her resolve to be firm and stern.

Not to mention that after the training she had undergone in his supervision, her desire to own such creatures had faded away as time went by.

However, she was now in a new world where she wasn’t expected to have that firm resolve or the cold-hearted nature that was needed to run the St. Claire business empire.

Right now, she was just Yvonne St. Claire, a little girl who was allowed to do as she pleased and like whatever caught her eye.

Therefore, her attention and her admiration towards this little etcher named Aster whose appearance resembled a Samoyed were evident.

Best

This etcher was around the same size as Fryght which made her assume that it was still a pup, unlike the wolfhound who was an adult but preferred to maintain that small and cute appearance.

The true image of Fryght which she had seen only once in the past flashed across her mind but she soon discarded that image and focused on the other pup seated before her.

“That’s a pretty name. Just like her.” She muttered while gazing at the second etcher she had been introduced to today.

Just as her words came to an end, those adorable blue eyes of the beast narrowed as it growled while looking right at her.

‘Why am I being subjected to all this hostility by such cute etchers!?’ She was baffled as even Celestial had done the same soon after meeting her.

This made her wonder if there was something wrong with her that caused these little etchers to exhibit visible aversion towards her.

As though Demon had understood the reason for her gloomy appearance, his voice echoed in her mind in an attempt to cheer her up.

‘Master, that etcher is a male.’ He corrected her mistake for she had addressed Aster as a ‘she’ which seemed to have invoked the little etcher’s rage.

Coughing, Yvonne patted Demon’s side to display her appreciation for this help before glowering at the owner of the other etcher.

“Who names a male etcher Aster!?” She rolled her eyes as the name most definitely sounded feminine to her.

Damien’s lousy naming skills had caused her to offend the etcher who was now furious at her.

Being subjected to this backlash led the older boy to tilt his head, making Yvonne assume that he did not find anything wrong with what he had done.

‘At least this Miss understands my troubles...’ A new voice was heard in her mind and she had already determined who it could belong to.

‘Forgive me if I have offended you.’ Yvonne apologized to the new etcher who had used a mental link between them to initiate communication.

She had been worried that even this etcher would run far away from her like Fryght and Celestial did but was glad when Aster shook his head in response.

‘It is my Master’s fault after all.’ Aster let out a sigh and discovering how dramatic it was, Yvonne chuckled in the next moment.

Her voice wasn’t too loud but it was clear for them to hear and comprehend that something the other etcher must have said was amusing to her.

The rest standing around could hear not a single word of this conversation but Demon and Damien were silent listeners, rolling their eyes at what was taking place.

‘Want to get hit?’ A scary voice was soon heard, sending shivers down the fluffy etcher’s spine.

Yvonne frowned when she too heard the same words and glared at Damien who was heartless to even think of hitting his etcher.

However, she assumed that he was only threatening his beast but Aster knew better than anyone else just how serious his Master could be.

Therefore, he no longer sat peacefully next to the young boy but chose to seek refuge near the child who had been looking at him with lovestruck eyes.

‘Save me, Miss!’ Aster’s sorrowful voice was heard once again and in no time, everyone saw the little pup-like etcher rushing towards her.

Howard and Taylor were troubled since they had no clue about the amicable conversation between the two.

They had seen how the pup had growled at her, so they assumed that it was now running forward to attack her.

Though the size of the pup convinced them that it couldn’t possibly inflict too much damage, there was no saying about what its true strengths were.

After all, despite how tiny it was, it was still an etcher.

To add to their panic, Aster’s owner was Damien and they knew just how strong that older boy was which implied that his etcher would be a capable one as well.

However, before they could even take another step forward, Aster had already reached Yvonne’s side in a flash.

They had forgotten all about their concerns for a second as they marveled at how swift the little pup was, almost comparing Aster to Demon who was the fastest etcher they were acquainted with.

Yvonne was too stunned to understand what was taking place but before she knew it, the pup had reached her position and even went as far as hiding behind her legs.

‘Just how many times did he hit this puppy?’ She wondered if the traumatic memories of the past had led the pup to react in this way.

Therefore, she turned her eyes away from the puppy that was now using her body as a shield and glared at the terrible person whose words were more than enough to scare the poor beast.
