Chapter 910: The Day Of The Special Event
Yvonne had forgotten that until now, no one had seen the face of the other prince belonging to the older generation.
This had led his existence to be erased from the minds of many nobles due to his absence from public events for the longest time now.
Therefore, her worries about meeting the man who was supposed to be her future husband, if everything followed what was written in the Bird God’s script, were not needed in the least bit.
She only needed to be conscious of how she behaved before the numerous influential people who would make their appearance at the special event that was meant to take place tomorrow.
___
The next few hours were filled with anxiety and nervousness for the nobles who waited impatiently for the special day to arrive.
“Is everything prepared?” Yvonne inquired as she sat before the large mirror.
.....
Early on the morning of the King’s birthday, Countess Raylene St. Claire had instructed the servants to wake the young miss up and have her undergo various treatments to ensure that she looked her best for the event they were set to attend in the evening.
Therefore, the little girl had been up before dawn’s break and was surrounded by maids ever since.
Her classes for the day had been canceled as today was meant to be a day of celebration throughout their Kingdom.
The Captain and Marquess Samed were thus asked to not come by for their classes with the child as she would be busy from the moment she woke up.
Following the Countess’s instructions, the maids had pampered the young miss all morning, and only when it was time for an afternoon nap did they leave her alone.
Inside her room, Yvonne, who had been left to her thoughts for the very first time since morning, had called for her loyal butler to appear before her.
Jax had arrived in just a few minutes and as soon as he entered the room, a question had been tossed to his side.
“You would be pleased with the outcome, Boss.” He smirked while replying, exhibiting his confidence through his words and his demeanor.
Observing his expressions through the reflection of the mirror before her, Yvonne raised her brow and then nodded in answer.
A task had been assigned to the young man a few days ago but to accomplish this task seamlessly, he had been working hard for the last many months.
Yvonne had been watching over his progress so when she received this confident reply, she wasn’t too surprised but knew that he was being truthful.
“Go check it again before we leave for the Palace.” She instructed as there could be no scope for any mistakes if she wished to gain the results she was hoping for.
Hearing her order, Jax wasn’t offended at the lack of trust as he too was aware of how crucial this matter was for his Boss’s plans.
Therefore, he immediately bowed to accept her command before he headed out of the door to complete the latest task he had been assigned.
Watching him leave, Yvonne rose from her seat before the mirror and made her way toward the bed.
There was still time for them to rest before they needed to rush to the Palace.
Hence, the little girl chose to replenish her energy by taking a much-needed nap after having been dragged around in the name of the various beauty treatments her mother wished for her to experience.
___
Not far from the St. Claire estate, there was hustle and bustle in the Palace where the Royal family of Rosenhyde resided.
While Yvonne had fallen asleep in no time, the Palace where a grand celebration would soon be held was as busy as it ever could be.
Earlier today, the King on this special day had first visited the Temple of their founding deity, God Asmodeus Del Ovin, to offer his gratitude and faith to the divine being for returning peace to his kingdom.
He had later returned to the Palace where all of the members of the Council of Ministers were waiting for his arrival so that they might begin their annual meeting.
The meeting had ended just before lunchtime as that was reserved for the King to spend time with his loved ones.
For this special day, the entire Royal family had gathered in the Dining Hall of the Main Palace where they had a harmonious meal in each other’s presence.
Though many boys studying at the Royal Academy were asked to stay behind and focus on their education, the same instruction didn’t apply to the Prince of their Kingdom.
It was his father’s birthday celebration so there was no way that Prince Fritzen would skip such an important event.
Due to his worries about the citizens suffering during the plague, the King announced that he had no intentions of celebrating this special day when his people were in distress.
???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????
Hence, even when the other members of the Royal family had spent their birthdays doing something they preferred, the King had not done anything of that sort when it was his turn.
For this reason, this year’s birthday was supposed to hold additional sentimental value for the family members who had accepted to abide by his instructions, refraining from celebrating his birthday in the past.
Therefore, it was only natural that everyone close to the King was by his side on this day.
Their lunch as a family had been a success and soon they would assemble for the main celebration that would be held this evening.
Unaware of this fact, Yvonne St. Claire, the little girl who hoped against meeting a few members of this same family, was bound to be displeased soon enough.
___
A few hours had passed with Yvonne falling into a deep sleep, one where she recalled certain memories of what she was already aware of.
The dreams she had been having from a young age had continued to come and go as they pleased.
Sometimes they brought her into a different time setting, contrary to her current age, to display how life turned out for ‘Yvonne’ from the script.
While at other times, they helped her witness events that were never mentioned in the script.
One such dream had appeared when she had fallen asleep the night after she had returned from the Tanner tea party.
Images of this same dream were once again flashing across the eyes of the young girl who was fast asleep on her bed right now as well.
However, newer images soon combined with the ones she had seen in the past, and putting them together allowed her to gain a better understanding of the situation.
Her eyelids fluttered as she continued to remain unconscious, trying to comprehend this new information she had just obtained.
As her mind was in a total state of relaxation with no disturbances around her, she could hear voices of women which echoed in her mind, a fragment of the dream she was now engrossed in.
To accompany those voices, a new scenery unfolded right before her eyes, merging those two sets of images to now form one.
___
“Was that really necessary, Lady?” ‘Yvonne’ questioned the young lady seated at the same table as her.
Right now, a small group of young ladies was present basking in the shade under the pavilion surrounded by a stunning lake.
The little girl viewing this scene could at first glance guess where this place was as she had seen it numerous times, though it was only in such dreams.
Nevertheless, Yvonne was confident that this was the pavilion behind the Rose Palace, the residence of Princess Felicia.
To prove that she had gotten the right answer, it was Princess Felicia whose image appeared next in the young girl’s mind.
The Princess was seen nodding her head but the girl with bright auburn hair seated next to her harrumphed as though she did not agree with her other friends.
“Lady Melissa has done nothing wrong.” Lady Glennise Brodie, the one with the disgruntled look on her face, declared while she stood in solidarity with the woman who was being questioned right now.
In the Pavilion, four young ladies were seated together while a few maids stood at a distance which made it difficult for them to hear what the noble ladies were discussing.
This allowed the young women to talk without holding back, which was exactly what Glennise was doing right now.
However, Miss Yvonne and Princess Felicia, who did not seem to agree with her, only turned their attention toward the only outsider present among them.
The three best friends had known each other all their lives but this other person was a new addition to their social circle, someone who had joined them only a few years ago.
The Jorbin family had been away from the Capital for many years but had returned when it was time for the coming-of-age ceremony of their daughters.
Despite staying away from their circle for so many years, the three daughters of the Marquess were quite famous for their beauty and talent.
However, it was their mixed blood that made them stand out the most.
Many people spoke ill of them yet would not dare to disrespect them openly due to their high status.
Therefore, in no time, the triplets of the Jorbin family had gained numerous followers after they had made their debut in the noble society as Young Ladies a few years ago.
It was this high status and loyal followers which had been the reason for the young lady being asked to join the Princess for tea time at the Rose Palace.
Though it might have seemed to be a simple invitation for others, for the three best friends who had drafted that letter, it most definitely wasn’t without meaning.
