Yvonne watched as the people whom she was expecting answers from all left in the carriages they had come in.
Damien and Topher sat in one carriage while Taylor and her brother, Howard sat in another.
'What was it that Topher wanted to say before he was banished by that grinch of a man?' She wondered and then shot a hateful glance at Captain Reel.
Raylene's sniffles brought her back from her thoughts and she walked towards her mother.
'She is so sensitive and mild!' She inferred as she looked at the woman who was sobbing as she buried her face into her husband's chest.
Desmo felt bored as he watched the carriages soon disappear and then turn his gaze at the overconfident child.
He was surprised to see that the girl was now in her father's arms once again as she patted Countess Raylene's shoulder to calm her.
Raylene hugged her husband and smiled at her daughter who was trying to console her to the best of her abilities.
"Mama, big brother will be back in a month so please stop crying." Yvonne requested utilizing her sweetest smile and softest voice.
Raylene and Rutherford's hearts were drowning in the saccharine words they heard from the little girl in their arms.
Desmo had enough of this overwhelmingly dramatic scene and coughed to make his presence known.
The family of three all turned towards the outsider and glared at him for butting into their moment.
"Can we get this over with?" He questioned in an impatient manner after letting out an exasperated sigh.
In response, Rutherford gave his friend a smile which made the Captain of the Red Scorpion Knights shudder for a quick second.
'Why do I feel like I did something wrong?' He innocently wondered.
"Ray, take Vonna to the back garden. I need to have a talk with my dear old friend for a few minutes." He suggested with a gentle smile that he directed towards his lovely wife.
Yvonne said nothing as she once again was carried away without anyone asking about her opinions.
'When can I grow older!? I want to be able to make my own decisions already!' She cried out in anguish and silently buried her face into her mother's shoulders.
Raylene associated this action of hers as a sign that she was missing her brother too.
"It's okay, Vonny. Howie will soon be back." She repeated Yvonne's words back at her.
'I already know that! I just said those words.' Yvonne sighed in defeat at her airheaded mother and simply nodded her head.
While Raylene was missing her baby boy whom she would not be able to meet until the entire month ended, the boy himself was not doing too well.
__
Inside one of the two carriages that departed from the grounds of the St. Claire Estate with its destination towards Royal Academy,
"How could father do this!?" Howard St. Claire exclaimed while pulling his deep blue hair in frustration.
Taylor sat on the other side of the carriage and he was having the exact same feeling of frustration engulfing his heart.
'How could Earl St. Claire do such a thing!? Does he have no heart?' He lamented for the little girl whom he couldn't stop singing praises for.
"I agree with you for once. This is so unfair!" He muttered and shot a sympathetic glance at his best friend.
Howard smiled gratefully that his friend was taking his side of the argument over his obsession for that little imp.
"I know right!? How could father ask THE Captain Desmo Reel, Captain of the Red Scorpion Knight's squadron to come and train that brat!?" He yelled out his annoyances with what he had witnessed.
Taylor, who was shaking his head to show his agreement, froze and then his jaw dropped when he heard his best friend's reasons for being angry.
Howard was still in his pissed off rant that he did not notice this change in Taylor's behavior.
"She will just waste this great opportunity and then Captain Reel will despise our family!" He sobbed at the very thought of such a thing happening.
His plans of joining the Red Scorpions in the future and working under one of his idols would go down the drain if he has a negative opinion about the St. Claire's due to Yvonne's misbehavior.
"If she messes things up for me then I will…" He began his threat but never got the chance to finish as a loud scream erupted from his lips.
Taylor was the reason for this abrupt screech mid-sentence as he could no longer stay silent and decided that his friend needed to be brought to his senses.
So he did the thing that he thought would be the best in this situation.
He leaned forward and ruthlessly flicked Howard's forehead, leaving a bright red mark at the place that he had attacked.
"Ouch! Why would you do that?" He yelped and glared at the culprit.
Taylor's eyes gleamed menacingly when he realized that the fuss Howard was making until now because he was drowning in envy.
That he was envious of the fact that Earl St. Claire had managed to invite Captain Desmo Reel to make the trip to their estate and be Yvonne's tutor or trainer.
"Worthless imbecile!" He spat those scornful words at his friend who widened his eyes.
Howard could not understand why he was being subjected to such harsh treatment when all he was doing was expressing his grievances.
Taylor scoffed when he saw the same ignorant look in his eyes that he had seen in the Earl and his cute daughter.
"Don't you know what Captain Desmo is called by the members of his squadron?" He interrogated with a mocking smirk forming on his lips.
Howard frowned when he saw this and scratched his neck since he did not know what the answer was.
But he refused to admit to it and hence he paused for a second before confidently giving his answer.
"He is so talented and amazing so it is obvious that he is called something like Master or Lord." He exclaimed as his eyes began sparkling once again.
This man was known in the masses as the best swordsman after the Duke of Tanner.
So it was not something strange for him to be a beloved figure who was admired and looked up to by everyone.
While what he had said was definitely true in its own right, however only half of it was true.
"I asked about what he is known as by members of his squadron and not the citizens!" Taylor repeated his words and this time Howard gazed back at him blankly.
Seeing this reaction, he knew that he had to explain things to his friend who only ran after anyone with skills and failed to be bothered about their personality.
"He is called the 'SPAWN'." Taylor revealed and smirked after seeing Howard's confused face.
"I reckon you did not know about that, now did you?" He questioned and received an immediate nod in response.
"So it is safe to assume that you do not know the reason why he is called with that name." He assumed and this time he was met with silence.
"Let me tell you why." Taylor generously offered and jerked his neck muscles before he could begin the tale of how that name came to be.
While Talor had begun his narration, inside the second carriage that was also onward its destination to the Royal Academy, two older boys sat in silence.
"Will you spill it out already?" Damien glowered at his friend who was incessantly shaking his feet and tapping his fingers on his knees.
Being friends since they could understand or have awareness of what was happening around them, Damien by now had knowledge about all of his behavioral traits.
The annoying things that he was doing at present was something he did whenever he was in a troubled situation or he did not know what to do about a certain thing that was bothering him.
Topher Tanner, the elder son of Duke Tanner glanced up after he was pulled out of his reverie by hearing Damien's loud voice.
'Did he forget that I am also in this carriage with him?' The brown-haired boy, Damien snarled at his friend when he saw the confused and startled look on his face.
"Oh, D… Damien, it is you!" He muttered and then went back to doing the same annoying movements as earlier.
Damien raised his brows and sighed before he brought up his hand and smacked Topher straight on his head.
Topher held her now gradually swelling head and glanced at Damien with teary eyes.
"What was that for?" A similar question was asked in the second carriage as well.
"Will you tell me what is making you so jittery and anxious?" Damien interrogated with his hand still raised, ready to smack his head at any moment if he failed to give a satisfactory answer.
Topher glanced outside the window with a melancholic glint flashing in his eyes as he mumbled his response.
"I am worried about that little girl." His soft murmur reached Damien's ears making him frown.
'Why does he care so much about her?' He wondered and his frown deepened when he felt a strange sense of insecurity arise in his heart.
