Chapter 261 - Still In Her Growing Phase

Yvonne was also invited to the garden by one of the maids who had been ordered by her mother to accomplish this task at the earliest.

"Do I look alright?" The little girl asked both the maid who had just arrived and her old maid alike.

The two women looked at the girl from the top of her head to the very bottom and in the same motion, they began nodding their heads furiously in answer to her question.

"Miss looks adorable in this pink dress!" The young maid could not contain her squeal as she praised the little girl.

Yvonne had her hair falling loosely over her shoulder which covered a major portion of the upper part of her pink dress.

This dress was one of the many dressed that Raylene had bought on their shopping spree and finally now was the time for the mother to flaunt how pretty her daughter looked in those clothes.

The little girl wore all colored clothes but for some reason, she always tried to avoid this pink shade so this could be said to be the first time that they had seen her wear this colored dress.

"Miss looks like a princess in this dress!" She continued her praise while nodding like a parrot.

'And ladies and gentlemen, THAT is the reason why I don't wear pink!' The little girl's desire to roll her eyes was skyrocketing at this moment.

Controlling her urges, she smiled at the maid and turned to look at herself in the mirror.

Just like what the maid had described, Yvonne looked like a luxurious princess of a large kingdom in that grandeur pink dress.

Even the thread used to sew the dress together was made out of pure gold which served as the proof of the 'Princess' claim.

'If she has money to spend then she can send it over to me. I'll use it as my future investment.' She scoffed at her mother's money squandering ways.

She would grow out of this dress in no time, after all, she was still in her growing phase.

Once she outgrew the dress, then there would be absolutely no use for this expensive dress.

But who could explain this to her mother who was doted upon by the richest man in the Kingdom who did not hesitate to give her everything in his treasury?

'Both of them are spendthrifts!' She denounced her parents and took one last look at her dress.

Though she was mad at them she could not deny that she looked remarkable in these clothes.

'I am becoming a hypocrite now…' She sighed at herself for condemning her parents yet enjoying what they bought for her.

With this absurd thought in mind, she decided that it was time to move to the garden to meet the others.

"Let us leave." She announced her next plan and looked at the maids who bowed in acceptance.

They held the door open for her and waited for her to step out of the room.

So, Yvonne with her head held high stepped out of her bedroom and made her way to the garden where everyone might already be waiting for her.

A few miles away from the St. Claire Mansion was another estate that was larger than theirs.

The servant sent over by Butler Limo got out of the carriage and in the very next moment he found two guards coming his way.

'The security here is so strict.' He surmised with a nod.

What else would you expect from the house which was in charge of the Red Scorpion Knights?

The two guards who had arrived before the servant took one glance at the carriage he had come in and understood that he was here from the St. Claire estate.

"How may we help you?" One of the guards spoke up while maintaining the propriety in his speech.

The servant greeted them with a bow and brought out the letter that had been entrusted to him.

"The Young Masters are with our Young Master Howard and have sent this letter over." He answered by giving them a short and precise explanation of why he had appeared today.

The seal of the Tanner family was on the letter in the servant's hands so the men did not have to think for long to understand who he was referring to.

"Just a second." The second guard requested and ran away at lightning speed.

This caused the servant to panic as he did not know what he had done wrong that had sent the guard running towards the mansion.

"You'll understand soon." The guard who remained assured him with a gentle smile.

However, the worry in the servant's heart did not fade as he tried to recall if he had said or done something which might have offended them.

After all, he served the St. Claire family was still lower than the Tanner's who was a Ducal family.

Their position in the social standing was just below the King's so the need to be proper and respectable was immense and mandatory.

He would not want to cause any trouble to his Master which might cause him troubles as well.

The guard shook his head when he noticed that his soothing words fell on deaf ears as the servant had an anxious face.

'Cannot help him any further than this.' He shrugged and stood at the side as he awaited his partner to return.

Soon, the sounds of a carriage coming from the inside were heard which straightened the backs of the two men.

The carriage came to a halt before them and the one sitting beside the coachman was none other than the guard who had run inside.

He hopped off his seat and held the door open for the one who was seated inside the carriage.

An old man with a head full of thick white hair was seen getting off the coach.

Though he looked old, he walked with vigor and vitality contradicting his wrinkled face.

"I have come here to accept the letter our Young Master has sent." The elderly man spoke in a loud and clear voice which caused the servant from the St. Claire's to nod in a daze.

Now the servant had realized what the guard had run off for.

'He must have gone to call the Butler of this house.' He speculated after taking a look at the clothing of the old man.

A Butler's uniform which looked much like the one Butler Limo wore each day was seen on the elderly man.

The Butler of the Tanner Estate raised his brow at the young servant who only kept staring at him without making any move.

This action prompted the servant to cough in embarrassment that he had frozen and bowed as he offered the letter to the Butler.

"Thank you for your hard work." The old man appreciated him for coming over to deliver the letter.

Having completed his task here, the servant bowed and rushed back to his carriage to return to the St. Claire Estate.

"Limo has a lot to do to train his juniors." The old man chuckled looking at the flustered man who practically ran away after finishing his work here.

After watching the carriage disappear from his sight, the Butler turned around and sat in the carriage he had come in.

'Should hand this over to Master.' He decided as the carriage moved towards the mansion.
