At the same time in the Rose Palace located on the grounds of the Rosenhyde Royal Palace, there was hustle and bustle as the preparation for a certain important event was in full swing.
The event would be held tomorrow but preparations had started a week ago.
This signified the amount of importance their King placed on this event, proving that there could not be any negligence in the preparation.
While the servants were busy rushing to complete their assigned tasks, three girls sat under the pavilion on the far end of the Rose Palace.
Gleeful giggles were heard every so often as they were lost in their own little cheerful world, not bothered about the servants all around them.
The joyful atmosphere surrounding them was what the Prince of the Rosenhyde Kingdom witnessed upon reaching this palace.
A young boy with bright blonde hair stood a few tens of feet away from the pavilion as he watched the three girls converse with enthusiasm and excitement.
'She seems excited for tomorrow.' Prince Fritzen Rosenhyde inferred after silently taking in the scene that was before his eyes.
His little sister, the Princess of this Kingdom sat between her two friends and it appeared as though they were enjoying the conversation they were partaking in at this moment.
Tomorrow was her birthday, her big day, and he as her elder brother knew that she could not wait for this day to arrive.
Of course, he had felt the same excitement a few months ago when he had turned seven years old and now it was his sister's turn to become a year older.
This was because the Royal siblings were only a year apart hence there wasn't much difference in their age.
Queen Zena had given birth to her firstborn son a few years after her marriage to the King and the next year, she bore him a daughter.
The consecutive births of the Royal babies gave hope to the citizens of this Kingdom.
The citizens were waiting for news of more babies as it was believed that the more children a King had, the more he and his Kingdom would prosper.
The previous King only had two sons, King Ophire and Prince Draco so they were hoping that the new king would fulfill their dream of seeing the Royal family flourish with the birth of numerous children.
However, Queen Zena never gave birth to another child after the Princess was born.
This caused them to be dissatisfied with their Queen but could not voice out their opinions when they saw that the King himself wasn't too bothered about this.
King Ophire had grown up with just one sibling and he was happy to give that little boy all of his love from his young days.
Hence, he was delighted when he realized that his son could do the same to his daughter.
He would not shun the idea of having more kids but at the same time, he would not be dissatisfied with just the two of them that he already had.
Now, his only son smiled at his daughter and walked towards the pavilion to greet her.
Yesterday, Prince Fritzen had returned home for the weekend-long holiday from the Academy and spent the day with his mother who demanded some mother-son bonding time.
They spent the afternoon eating together then went to visit her favorite garden in the Main Palace and finally had evening tea together before he was allowed to return to his Palace.
Fritzen was too tired to visit his father and sister after returning to his Sycamore Palace and had decided that he would meet them tomorrow.
Therefore, first, he had greeted his father at lunch and now he had come over to meet his little sister who had not joined them for lunch as she had prior plans with someone else.
Fritzen reached close enough to the Pavilion to overhear bits and pieces of the animated conversation the three girls were enjoying.
His crystal clear blue eyes alternated between the two girls sitting with his sister who were the reasons for her declining his offer of having a meal together today.
His eyes then rolled when he heard them discussing new clothes and treats which was the only thing they usually discussed each day.
"Big Brother! You are here!" The girl with the bright golden hair was the first to sense his presence.
She rose from her seat, an action which was followed by the other two girls as well.
The three curtsied in one accord but a frown appeared on the young Prince's face.
"You do not have to curtsy to me, Felly." He complained, dissatisfied that she was treating him like an outsider.
In response to his mumbling grievances, Princess Felicia raised her head and flashed her brightest smile to her elder brother.
Sometimes he was mean to her but she knew that hidden behind all that facade was a caring brother who lacked the means to display how he felt for her.
"Let Felly behave like a proper Princess, brother!" She pouted and then grinned when she saw his helpless shake of the head.
Fritzen was aware of his sister's bratty yet cute attitude so he decided to let her do as she pleased for now.
Turning his head to the sides, he glanced at the two girls who were his sister's friends and playmates that his father had chosen after careful consideration.
These two girls were of the same age as Princess Felicia and were also considered smart enough to keep up with her learning pace.
"Rise, Miss Brodie and Miss Kiron." He permitted them to raise their heads which had been bowed until now.
He had seen the daughter of the Duke on numerous occasions but this was the first time he had seen the new girl that had been chosen as a replacement from Miss St. Claire.
'Youngest daughter of Marquess Kiron.' He recalled her identity and nodded at them in approval.
Prince Fritzen then looked back to his sister and walked towards her, gesturing towards the couch and asking her to sit down with him.
The Royal siblings sat on one side of the Pavilion while the two girls had to take their seats on the other side.
With everyone in their seats now, Prince Fritzen forgot the existence of the other girls as he conversed with his sister.
"Excited for tomorrow?" He inquired even when he was sure of what her answer might be.
Just as he had expected, Princess Felicia nodded her head repeatedly as this would be the first time that outsiders would be allowed to meet her.
A bubbly little girl like her wished to make new friends and also to mingle with them as this was her duty as a member of the Rosenhyde Royal family.
As the conversation had been initiated, the siblings began talking about how she had spent the day yesterday and also about what she was expecting from tomorrow's big day.
The two little girls did not interrupt the Royal siblings as they sat in silence and watched them interact with each other.
Rika Kiron sat with her back upright and tried to look her best as this was her first time being in such close contact with the Prince whom she had only heard about from the Princess and Miss Brodie until now.
In contrast to her nervous and anxious state, Miss Glennise Brodie was relaxed as she stared at the two sitting on the other side of the pavilion.
She had met the Prince on numerous occasions thanks to her status as the Duke's daughter and hence she wasn't nervous to see him here today.
Though there wasn't nervousness in her demeanor, there surely was something else that hadn't been there before.
'Has Prince Fritzen always had such a brilliant smile?' The only daughter of Duke Brodie wondered as she gazed at the Prince in awe.
Her cheeks flushed a deep red when she noticed how the considerate brother had smiled at his sister in reply to something she had said.
She had no idea what was happening to her as this was something she had never felt before.
However, the rapid beating on her heart and the warmth in her cheeks was not troublesome as she was beginning to like whatever it was that she was feeling in her chest right now.
None of them had noticed the bright red cheeks of the Brodie girl but there was someone who had done so.
'Mission accomplished.' A sniggering voice was heard before it faded away as though it never existed in the first place.
