Yvonne lifted her head when she heard the loud cry of a bird she was quite familiar with.
Demon growled at the sight of the large bird swooping closer to their location.
The little girl's lips curved into a smile when she saw the glorious golden eagle flying straight towards her.
However, the three boys with her were sent into a panic at this sight.
The large eagle which most certainly was an etcher had its flight projection right in the direction of the birthday girl and its speed wasn't lowering in the least bit.
Just when the twins were about to call out for help, they caught sight of the snow hawk which belonged to their father chasing after the eagle.
Yvonne's eyes widened as she feared that the two birds might clash with each other while Demon was hoping for something of that sort to take place.
However, just like the last time, the eagle was much faster than the hawk as she flew towards her target.
The boys were now thoroughly anxious for the little girl's safety but before they could move to pull her away, the large eagle had already arrived before them.
Unlike the screams of terror they were expecting from Yvonne, all they heard was an excited voice instead.
"Tutu!" The childish voice of the birthday girl woke them up from their frightened stupor.
They were shocked to look at the sight of the large eagle flying right about her head.
Earlier, the high speed at which they had seen the bird flying had lowered considerably just before it could reach the girl.
This made it possible for the eagle to hover right above the girl without doing her any harm.
Howard released the breath that he had been holding in as he finally regained his senses and pulled his sister away from the eagle.
Yvonne was suddenly yanked away from Tutu's side and placed behind Howard's back.
Not just Howard but even the twins formed a human barrier as they shielded her from the etcher which had flown in out of nowhere.
Hakka, the snow hawk had finally reached them but unlike their expectations, he did not attack this intruder.
The hawk only leered at its opponent but did not make a move as he had been instructed by his Master, Marcus Valente, to not harm the bird the last time that it had appeared here.
Since Tutu was given a free pass to enter the estate just like Demon, he was forced to stand down and not attack either one of them.
When Demon noticed that the annoying snow hawk had not attacked Tutu, he scoffed as they were both restraining themselves due to their Master's orders.
For once, Hakka empathized with Demon and the two felt a sense of camaraderie for their yearning to attack the eagle which could not be fulfilled.
They both glared at Tutu who puffed out her chest in arrogance as they could not touch her no matter what she did.
Therefore, instead of wasting her time competing with the two etchers, she flew over the three boys who had made a weak attempt to shield the girl from her.
Just as Yvonne was about to peek her head out from the three boys before her, she found that there was no need to do so as Tutu had appeared behind her.
Turning around, she smiled at the etcher who was also happy to see her.
Howard and the twins were surprised that their actions were countered so easily and just as they turned around to face the eagle once again, their eyes were left wide open.
The massive bird's talon was aimed straight at Yvonne's face which brought panic to them as now they were sure that the etcher wished to harm their sister.
However, they were wrong in their assumptions as the bird was not trying to claw her face but was extending her leg where a tiny letter was tied as always.
Since Hakka and Demon had seen this before they were not as surprised as the boys.
The little girl did not fear the bird but raised her hand and untied the letter from Tutu's leg.
Once the letter had been extracted, Tutu was once again high in the sky but she did not fly away.
The three young boys had their eyes fixed on the etcher so they did not notice the girl who was reading the letter.
When they came back to their senses, they looked down at her and found that she had already crumpled the letter.
Tutu swooped in once again and grabbed the ball of paper from Yvonne's hand.
This time she did not wait and began to fly away in the direction that she had come from.
Hakka followed her until she reached the border of the estate before returning.
By now, the three boys were curious as to why an unknown etcher had come to Yvonne and left without making a fuss.
Roman and Knox had only ever seen Hakka in their estate but now had seen two more etchers and the reason for this was the little girl who was now standing before them with innocence overflowing from her face.
"Who was that?" Howard interrogated as this incident had shocked him immensely.
Facing the three curious faces, Yvonne was left with no choice but to reveal at least a tiny portion of the truth.
"A friend's etcher. She means no harm!" She defended Tutu but her words had caused a misunderstanding.
The boys were surprised that there was another girl who had an etcher and it was the eagle they had just seen.
'Weren't boys the only ones who could have etchers?' Roman wondered about the authenticity of her words.
However, thinking of how she could gain one he wondered whether other girls had also managed to do the same.
Yvonne did not realize that her words had brought this revolutionary thought into their heads.
However, she was glad that she did not have to explain any further as the Master of that etcher was none other than SO, the man who had sent her a gift with a heart doodled in the note.
'Howard would freak if he hears about it.' She surmised and remained mum after that.
Though in the next moment, her face brightened after recalling the note she had read.
"Big brother, Young Master Topher has found his etcher." She disclosed the contents of the letter she had received.
Since she and SO had become pen-pals, he would often send her information which she might find interesting or useful.
Thus, when the news of Duke Tanner's heir gaining his etcher reached the Capital, SO decided to let her know of the same.
However, that was not the only content of the letter.
'He wished me for my birthday too.' She smiled at his kind gesture and shook her head when the last line of the letter mentioned that he had a present for her and would hand it over when they meet soon.
This part she hid from them and also did not mention the heart he drew at the end of the note she had crumpled which Tutu had thankfully taken away with her.
Therefore, right now, the boys could only trust in her words which they did without a doubt.
Howard's face lit up when he heard that his idol, Topher Tanner who was currently training in his fief had found his etcher.
"Do you know what kind of etcher he found?" He inquired, hoping to know more about it but Yvonne shook her head as that was not mentioned.
"I only know that he found one." She explained as she was just as clueless as him about the rest.
Howard nodded and decided to write to his best friend about the details of this matter later on.
Roman and Knox were surprised to see that not only were their cousins close with so many people who had etchers, they also were close to the Ducal family.
This made the two inquire more about the things of the Capital city which the siblings answered without hesitation.
While Howard was answering most of them since he was closer to both the Tanner boys, Yvonne was mulling over how she would explain to her family about her pen pal who was also her informant and his etcher, the messenger between them.
Today, Tutu was smart enough to take away the note before the others could read it but how long could they keep this a secret?
'They have to know someday…' She bit her lip and wondered whether that day was near.
