Early next morning, inside a carriage, sat a young boy whose emerald eyes were looking outside the window.
At a short distance away from the stationary carriage, two men were engrossed in the conversation taking place between them.
One was an older man who appeared to be the main speaker while the second person involved was seen nodding at frequent intervals, denoting that he was paying utmost attention to what was being said.
Prince Draco, the one seated inside the carriage, knew these men very well.
One was the Butler of this mansion while the other was his subordinate, Sigma, who was making note of everything he was hearing from the older man.
He also knew what they were talking about, for the entire conversation was centered around him and his health.
Since he had insisted on returning to Amarthea without any further delays, the Butler was now informing Sigma about the instructions the physician had given to take proper care and to not let the young prince feel any discomfort.
The Butler was planning to serve the Little Master for a few more days, allowing him to recuperate before he set off for the Capital.
However, the young boy would not agree so he could only pass on that responsibility to Sigma who would be following the Master on this trip.
Sigma could then make sure that the instructions given by the physician would be followed to ensure that there were no sequelae from the incident that had taken place to their Master.
Prince Draco had asked a carriage to be prepared just as dawn broke and his commands were accepted without any resistance.
Right now, the sun had still not revealed itself over the horizon but he was already inside the carriage, waiting to begin his journey.
It had been a few minutes since the Butler had called Sigma for a short chat and the Prince was glad that it had now come to an end.
Sigma bowed in gratitude to the Butler before he headed towards the carriage where his Master was seated.
Horace was back in hiding as he would be in charge of protecting the Master in secret while Sigma would take on the role of the coach driver once again.
The servants of the Roschester Mansion were all standing outside in a straight line with the Butler as their leader.
As the horses stomped their feet on the snow-covered path, ready to begin this journey, the Butler and the entire staff of the Mansion bowed to bid farewell to their Master.
They all had similar thoughts in their minds, wishing the Young Prince a safe journey with no harm being done to him this time around.
Draco nodded at the men outside to acknowledge their greeting just as the carriage began to move.
Soon, they began their journey to the Capital city, leaving behind the mansion where they had been staying for a short while now.
Turning away from the window, the Prince's eyes landed on the ball of fluff who was fast asleep next to him.
This made the prince shake his head at this lazy behavior of his etcher but thinking of someone else, he let out an exasperated sigh.
'Even Big Brother's etcher is the same.' He recalled the beast who was the King's fated etcher and realized that these two beasts shared a similar interest in sleeping.
"What's so funny?" A voice arose inside the carriage, dragging him out of his thoughts.
Draco looked up at the one occupying the seat on the other side as he was not alone inside this carriage.
While he had decided to leave at dawn break this morning, he did not expect that this man would also accompany him back to the Capital.
Shaking his head, Draco did not reveal what was on his mind and chose to divert their conversation in a different direction.
"You should have stayed behind if you liked. There was no reason for you to come along." Prince Draco reminded his companion on this journey that he should have stayed back.
On the other side of the carriage, Sevenz rolled his eyes before shaking his head.
"You want me to freeze here?" He scoffed without restraint, unmindful of the disrespectful behavior he was showing to the Prince.
Draco raised his brow as this man was the one who had requested to come along to the Roschester fief and now, he was behaving as though he had been dragged here against his will.
Sevenz seemed to have noticed the look of disdain on his friend's face so he coughed to alleviate his embarrassment.
"You should have gone somewhere more bright and warm if you hated the cold to such an extent." The young boy retorted, glancing at the multiple layers of thick clothing Sevenz had on right now.
It was clear that even after wearing such thick clothes, he was still shivering due to the cold.
If he was affected by the cold easily then why did he ask to visit the Roschester fief, a place known for its chilling temperature and treacherous terrain?
Sevenz sighed after hearing the query put before him.
"I had plans of heading to the South…" He began then shook his head almost immediately.
"However, someone suggested that I stay away from that place." He added, now a smile emerging on his face as he thought of that certain someone.
'My best friend is so caring~!' He squealed in his heart for the one to give that suggestion was Yvonne St. Claire.
He had not seen her after returning to the Capital at that time but he was sure that she was just as cute as she was before he left on his trip across the Kingdom to supply CLOVER's products.
This thought only made him wish to meet her sooner as he had a lot to say to her, mostly about the different sights he had seen on his trip.
Prince Draco had been observing his friend so seeing this jubilant smile forming on his lips made him curious to know more.
"Who was brave enough to give you suggestions?" He questioned, trying to pry some information out of this young man.
However, Sevenz was smarter than that to fall for such a petty trick.
Therefore, he simply looked out of the window and rubbed the chin of his etcher, Tutu who was seated on his shoulder.
"Doesn't matter who it was…" He muttered.
"I'm just glad I listened." He ended his answer but the Prince had grasped what his vague words implied.
If Sevenz had stuck to his plan of heading down South for the Summer, then right now, he too might have been affected by the strange disease spreading there at such a rapid pace.
According to his assumptions, Yvonne had given him that suggestion as the summers down there was too hot to bear.
However, her thoughtful consideration for his well-being had now saved him from getting trapped in a tricky situation.
Prince Draco did not receive any clear answers from him but there was a look of curiosity and also suspicion on his face.
'Did this person know that something would go wrong in the South?' He wondered if there was more at play than just an innocent suggestion being made by someone Sevenz knew.
'Master, he is hiding something.' The stiff voice of his etcher echoed in his mind, causing him to glance in its direction.
However, the etcher was still laid next to him with its eyes closed, appearing to be fast asleep but he knew that this wasn't the case.
Astolfo, Draco's etcher had been in the same position since it had entered the carriage but its vigilance was on high due to their companion seated with them.
Yesterday evening, when both Astolfo and Draco had fallen asleep, something had aroused the etcher from its sleep.
A sharp yet strong bloodthirst had originated in the room where they had just been but it vanished without a trace.
Now as they were inside the same carriage, he knew who that aura belonged to.
It was his duty to protect his Master so he did his due diligence by reminding his young master that this man was certainly hiding something from him.
In fact, Astolfo had gone a step further and disclosed what he had felt yesterday but to his surprise, his Master did not look alarmed.
'I know about his true powers.' Draco reassured that Sevenz would not harm him and that he knew a lot about him and his background which others did not.
While Draco and Astolfo were having an in-depth discussion about Sevenz and everything about him, that same man was lost in his thoughts.
