"Maybe I shouldn't have used the 'N' word. Dragon is Caucasian after all…..well I don't think it matters too much anyways. But ultimately I should keep the cursing to a minimum, I curse a lot. I won't want to curse in front of my brother's kids, that would be bad for the cool uncle image, I should-"
*Bang!*
Cole moved his head to the side as a shot aimed for his head punched a hole through the door behind him. He retaliated with a shot of his own, but a bright blue glow appeared in front of the person who had shot at him, intercepting his bullet and keeping his opponent alive. Cole furrowed his eyebrows in contemplation, but he was already on the move, as he rushed forwards, leapt into the air and focused both guns on the individual Going forward to find out that his current target was not alone.
*Ratata!*
[Shadow Dance]
He vanished out of the air and showed right in the middle of a group of normal dressed people. That was a mistake as an energy clad fist smashed into his jaw before sending him flying into the person who had shot at him. They flew to the side tangled with each other as their body crashed over gravel before coming to a stop besides a massive flower pot. Cole felt his ears ringing, but if he with his healing was in such a bad state, his dancing partner was in much worse situation and Cole quickly rectified that.
[Sin Eater]
The person shook for a second before their entire muscles locked up. But Cole couldn't keep this up for long as he put a bullet right in between their skull, then rolled to the side quickly as more bullets smashed into the location he was just holding. It was absolutely funny that they attacked him and their own team mate, which speaks volume of the lack of teamwork this new group has, and what made it even more worse was the fact that they were just like him; people with abilities that had manifested in reality from the game.
Cole flung his hands out using [Chaos Blast], the skill detonated almost immediately but there was no damage accrued as the person who was using the shield skill was back at it again, and with surprising mastery of the ability. It was weird how he had missed them in the initial rush, but from where he was standing he could see that there were still four them left, apart from the person that had just been put out of their misery. Cole was not so inclined to kill them, if this was within the event then perhaps he would not be hesitant, but a dead aspirant was one less person to defend earth in the eventuality of the systems arrival.
"I really don't want to kill you guys." Cole said, as he pointed at them, however the person with the shield, who as it turns out was a woman, spat to the ground with a furious look on his face.
"And we're supposed to believe that! From a murderer who has come to murder an entire family just so that he would take over the family's fortune. I hate scum like you the most! You will pay for what you have done to your family Cole Night! No more innocent blood will be split ever again by your hands!"
There say ignorance is bliss, and in some cases perhaps that was just the truth. But there was no bliss to be bad here, only a particularly insensitive set of well crafted words that had come from a fabricated story, designed to vilify the wrong party and exonerate the other. Unfortunately for the person with the shield skill, all they succeeded in doing was pissing Cole off so much that his body started shaking and he threw all caution to the wind.
"What I've done? What I've done! Are you mad! Why the fuck do you think they're hiding! You think they're hiding from me because of wealth? I'm the fucking number Aspirant in Titan Rising Online! I have freaking shares on Sierra corp that swallows everything that my family own collectively. And I would leave all of that to come here and kill members of my own family because of greed! You FUCKER! They KILLED MY BROTHERS! Now I have a niece and a nephew that would never see their father again. And you fucking idiots! Called them innocent...die!"
*Boom!*
It seemed almost as if Cole had broken the sound barrier in the manner and speed with which he had moved. But that was not the case, instead he had crushed the gravels he was standing on, his power now unprecedented currently being ruled by total and abject fury. The shield Aspirant created a blue shield that she sent flying in Cole's direction, smashing into his body and throwing him backwards into the distance, but he retaliated just as quickly.
[Sapphire Sniping]
Her blasted to pieces, spraying gore and brain matter onto the bodies of her comrades as Cole crashed to the ground and rolled a few times over the floor. He gritted his teeth and got up once again, [Shadow Dance] brought him out of the shadow of one of the remaining three aspirants, the person in particular who had punched him. His appearance startled his opponent as the butt of Blue Obsidian found it's way into the guys nose, eliciting a pained scream from him.
Cole spun and gave a guy with a deck of tarot cards floating about him a spinning heel kick that promptly brought him to the ground. Just in time for Cole to recover a massive hammer strike to the side of his head. He felt his skull deform as he crashed to the ground, everything going blank for a second as he lost as forms of sensation. He could see, feel, heart, smell and taste nothing. If he was normal and he survived the hit, it would have been pretty obvious that he had sustained significant brain damage.
But his thoughts were active and those were all he needed to activate his skills, and control his energy to speed up his healing. [Vertigo] quickly bought him some time as the remaining three took a couple of steps backwards and even fell over. Cole let go of his guns and pulled out a small kukri knife from his back. His vision returned just as he was lunging for the guy with the deck of cards. He absolutely did not want to find out what that guy could do, and he never did.
The blade sliced into the side of the guy's neck, eliciting a gurgled scream from him. Cole ignored it and dragged the blade outwards, severing his throat completely and splashing his masked face with his blood. Cole growled and ducked under another energy punch, stabbing the kukri down into the thigh of his attacker before pulling it out and sinking it deep into the guys belly. Then much like his friend before him, Cole dragged the small dagger from left to right and moved to the side pulling the blade out and releasing a splash of blood along with the insides of the man he just disemboweled.
And then there was one, the smart one. The last aspirant quickly laid down his hammer and raised his hand up to show that he surrendered. Cole was not in the business of giving mercy, and even if he was. It was just unfortunate that he did not want to leave any trace of himself ever being here, these guys had to have known exactly who he was before they took on this job. He could not afford loose ends, and even though he had on a mask, it seems his body posture more than showed that he had no intention of letting bygones be bygones after the hammer wielder laid his weapon down and surrendered.
"No! No wait! I surrender! I surrender!"
Cole rushed forwards, the person dragged their hammer off the ground and swung it upwards, creating a surge of powerful energy that turned into a conflagration of flames that Cole easily sidestepped. He stabbed the kukri into the crook of the person's right elbow forcing them to let go of the hammer out of reflex. Cole grabbed it before it fell to the ground and smashed it into the man's knee cap, shattering it and bring him down on one leg. His screams of pain were cut short as Cole swung the hammer into the side of his head in much the same manner that had been done to him…..half his entire skull, face and head was caved in.
*Thud!*
The hammer crashed to the ground as Cole turned away to retrieve his revolvers. He spat out a bloodied tooth, and winced as he felt another one rapidly growing in replacement. It was weird, but it seems his healing is a lot stronger in the real world…. His reality than in the game…. The other realities. Either way, it was time to move on to the next set of prey, it's not dawn yet.
