The axes disappeared and in their place a massive golden staff with a glowing fiery eye on top of it appeared. Cole couldn't help but curse, perhaps he has finally come up against an opponent that he would not be able to defeat. So far till this point, he has not really had the pleasure of going up against an enemy that had a pure mage build. Eze had two build from what Cole has seen so far, but it seems his martial build which frankly speaking is strong as fuck, comparable to Cole's build in strength.
But giving the build up of power and energy Cole was currently feeling, it was obvious it paled in comparison to his magic build and abilities. But then again it would not be right to jump to conclusions, the fight had only just started. Cole sheathed [Black Malakai], against a magic user, he would have to be fast, and he was faster than Eze, but not by a lot that he could cross the distance between them and deliver the damage that would put an end to him.
Plus Cole wasn't joking when he said Eze had a perception that could put his to shame, in the end if he was going to bring this guy down, then he was going to have to do it in much the same way he wanted to. A mage was a master or at least partly a master of ranged combat and a master of magic. Cole on the other hand was close combat specialist, an affliction specialist though that part of his Abilities is tied to his sword and his [Chaos Mirror] skill, which frankly speaking could turn the table if Eze did not have any other skills, or abilities that negates the 70% chance for his [Chaos Curse] effect to activate. But affliction specialist based on close combat still fell under the rogue build.
And so too did gun-slinging. What was a rogue anyways, they were known as the stalkers of the battlefield, the ones that were fastest with their attacks, accurate, precise, and people who would use and do anything they needed to do in order to win. But at heart, a rogue was a combination class of all three original base class. A rogue was the unholy love child from ménage a trois between a warrior, a mage and a ranger. Cole had warrior skill, mage skills and as for ranger skills, he had guns!
A massive spell circle came alive in front of Eze as dozens of fiery suns came alive in front of him. Cole chuckled as he placed his hands by his side and [Blue Obsidian] and [Black Sapphire] appeared in their empty holsters. [Gospel] showed up in his hands as Cole smiled at Eze, who in turn raised an eyebrow at the change of pace from Cole, but regardless of what it was, this fight was still going to happen. The fiery suns shot forwards, their speed almost breaking the sound barrier as they rushed for Cole.
Cole jumped into the air, swinging gospel in front of him as he flooded the weapon with Chaos energy, utilizing his [Chaos Blast] skill and forming miniature versions of them inside of the rifles chamber. He used [Gravity] to move his body higher as the fiery suns seemed to be homing on his position, but soon enough he had his ammunition ready as he aimed and fired. But Cole did not aim for the projectiles coming after him, he aimed for the mage that was controlling them.
[Homing Shot] [Double Tap]
Another magic circle pooped up in front of Eze, this time it was silver in color as it withstood the onslaught of the shot, but only the first bullet as Eze had not expected a second one to be following the first as his shield was broken through. But he quickly controlled the remainder of his floating suns to intercept the bullet as it was burnt to a slag in just a moment. Cole followed up using [Shadow Dance] to appear in the shadow of one of the pillars, and directly behind the Darkling Giant that had been slowly making it's way towards one of the pillars, what for? Cole had no idea, but he did not think it would be good to let it come in contact with the pillars.
[Double Tap]
One of the darkling's knee exploded to dust as it's head quickly followed after, and in turn the rest of it's body. That put an end to the darkling problem as Cole stopped up it's core and. Rolled forwards, dodging the stream of fiery sun balls that were chasing after him. He used [Spectral Rover] to put some distance between him and the homing balls of fiery sun, to appeared behind Eze as he fired of a shot. Another silver magic circle popped up, but this time there were three of them as if Eze was prepared for his [Double Tap] skill, but Cole had only fired off a single shot.
Eze materialized a fiery sun whip that he swung and used to smash into Cole's chest, burning through his flesh and down into his body, as his exposed ribs turned black and he was blasted backwards. Cole used [Fade] a skill attached to his armor as he vanished from sight and perception. But even at that he didn't think it was possible for him to completely evade Eze's perception. But he had to be smart about it as he used [Gravity] to arrest his momentum and sent himself up into the air, hitting the ground or anything at all would have alerted Eze to where he was.
The thing about [Fade] was that it was not just an invisibility skill, his presence or perhaps it would be better to say his existence literally faded. It would take someone with a really high perception to be able find him, and while Eze had proved he had a perception that many would be envious of, it was unfortunately not his highest stat, so finding Cole was definitely out of the question.
And he was right, because Eze not expecting Cole to have vanished just like that began to spam his silver magic circles all around himself, until he was tightly wound and surrounded by a dome of protective magic while he looked around, straining both his perception and his eyes in order to find Cole. But there was no way it would be that easy, but also it would also not be easy for Cole to break through all those shields, not without causing significant damage to his surroundings, and this was something he wanted to avoid as he had noticed that parts of the territory from the western Glade that had suffered from his assault, had also appeared, reflected in his own territory after he absorbed it, only a fool would destroy his own backyard.
But then again perhaps the only way to truly bring this guy down was to be a fool. In the end the choice was completely taken out of his own hands. If he really wanted to defeat Eze then he had to pull out all of the stops and bring the very fury of hell down on this brother of his, there was no other way that it could be done. Cole had to go all out, at the very least he had to really put not just the intent to kill into his attacks, but the intend to destroy everything. So he decided to do just that.
He pulled both guns out and began to pump them full of chaos energy via his [Chaos Blast] skill. But not just that he made sure that his Negative energy, one of If not his most powerful resource was sent into it too. Cole had used such a move before, and the result had been devastating. And not that there were parts of him that was already Gold rank, it would obviously be a whole lot more powerful than the last time Cole had used it. He pointed both guns in Eze's direction as the man seemed to sense it and turned quickly to face Cole.
"I can sense you! I might not be able to see you, but the sheer coalition of energy is not something that you can hide. Give up, there's nothing you can do to break my shields, and all you have done so far is run away from my attacks, so spears yourself further embarrassment. I won't ask you to serve me or anything, just leave a little remuneration and leave my Glade and we can call it quits and even be allies in the future." Cole smiled as he let [Fade] deactivate and Eze was fed a sight of a black eyed Cole holding two very demonic looking revolvers.
"Wow Eze, didn't you say we shouldn't jump to conclusions when the fight is not yet over. I'm hoping this doesn't kill you, but if it does and you respawn. Head straight for my territory, my people will receive you and your people. Then after I'm done conquering this whole valley, we can discuss your future and exactly what I need you to do. Now...prepare your defenses….. this is going to hurt."
