This fight had turned in Cole's advantage. He had no idea of course if the elf had a way to deal with the rot curse currently running roughshod within her body, but ultimately it was just a matter of time before one of them is dead ion the ground and with the current state of things, the chance that it would be Cole was very slim to none….he had won, but it seemed his opponent was finding it hard to come to terms with it.
"You vile creature! Have you no honor! How could you do such a thing in a fight." Cole cocked his head to the side and looked at her as if she was stupid, or perhaps she wasn't stupid she was just a hypocrite and did not give a shit that she was one. He shook his head at her and pointed his sword in her direction.
"Let's get this over with."
*Boom!*
He blasted forwards, Black Malakai stabbing forwards as she used her broadsword to defend against it, then shocked Cole by releasing a concussive blast of light that threw him backwards. He quickly used that chance to [Shadow Dance] popping out of a shadow close to her. But she was already on the move, going far away from him as she attempted to put a little bit of space between them.
Cole was not going to let her go either as he chased after her, she raised her sword up then jumped, twisting her body to turn and face Cole as the broadsword transformed into a bow as an arrow appeared in her hands probably from her inventory. She let the arrow loose, an act that caused a Shockwave as the arrows spun in the air and crossed the distance to bore a hole into Cole's body, far faster than he could follow.
He crashed to the ground grunting in pain as the wound burned with a pain he has never felt before in his life. Cole let out a scream of pain, this time completely unable to hold himself back, but the elf did not press her advantage. Instead she kept running, leaving Cole behind as she disappeared into the brush, the forest swallowing her up and leaving silence and the carnage of their battlefield left behind.
It took a him a few seconds to get back up to his feet, and even longer for him to catch his breath as the wound in his chest was healing quite slowly. He was just lucky that he was healing fast enough to not bleed out, and that too was also due to an impressive feat of willpower as Cole, tried his best to keep himself focused so he doesn't pass out from the blood loss.
He was able to quickly get his wits around himself after fifteen minutes and the pain seemed to have faded into the back ground. He was still feeling a bit tender, but he was more than ready to keep on hunting his prey. By this point the sound of multiple battles already filled the entire forest. Gun shots, skills being used and the screams of dying men, women and elves alike filled the air. War...this was the opening salvo, and while they were all being told that not every power in the system universe would go this route...humanity has had thousands of years to become advanced in politics and be greedy.I think you should take a look at
They would not be handing over their reality on a platter of Gold. The system coming here would not be some transition…..it was going to be a war. And from the look of things…..it was not looking good for humanity. Cole sighed as he took a deep breath, focusing his senses and eliminating any other sounds that were not integral to his current goals.
Emotions assailed him from all corners, and almost all of them were negative. But he was looking for one in particular, there was fear and worry, and with a little bit of help from his telepathy he could get impressions of thoughts, and then there was the rot. Cole could feel it, it was a power from his own sword, it was moving fast in the direction of the Dungeon....she was running.
[Spectral Rover]
This skill was just cheating. From what Cole understood about it, it was quite similar to [Shadow Dance]. and it was in the sense that his body seems to fall into another fabric of reality in order to facilitate faster to near instantaneous movement. [Shadow Dance] was a teleport skill, [Spectral Rover] was fully a movement skill as his body falls into the spectral realm that moves a lot faster than the normal one.
A fabric of reality layered with the real. He would move normal in the spectral realm, and it would seem to others that he was moving really quickly. Using the skill he was able to move through the forest quickly, parkouring his way through the trees and branches until he caught sight of the back of his target. She was not even moving as fast as she was supposed to and Cole could see why.
A trail of black blood followed her, the stench alone was enough that Cole had to stop to catch his breath. She turned and fired an arrow at him, taking him in the leg as it punched through and dragged him out of the spectral realm. This time though she was not going to waste her chances as another swift arrow followed quickly behind, but the power and force behind it was so weak.
Cole shifted to the side as the arrow sailed harmlessly past his head. The wound on his leg sealed itself immediately as he chuckled at her.
"You wont be alive long enough to get to the dungeon, for what is worth you are right in the fact that I cheated. In a straight on fight, even with all my skills you would have defeated me. But I am practically immortal, which is something you knew seeing as you kept trying to take my head. And if my sword cuts you once then it's only a matter of time. So now die knowing you were defeated by someone weaker than you, and that you will be responsible for making me stronger, say your good byes."
