Chapter 493 493: Resident Evil II
Cole opened fire, putting two down as he smashed his leg on the ground, using his [Gravity Rings] by stomping hard and letting the reverberations move away from him in shockwaves of gravity that blasted a couple of zombies backwards, and just enough time for to pay attention to one of them that had leaped into the air.
Cole stretched out his left hand and caught them out of the air and immediately drained the undead of whatever type or form of energy and life it had. Cole underestimated just how much it had and just how much quality there was to the undead's energy pool.
It hit him in a rush forcing him to take a couple of steps backwards as he regained a few of the energy he had lost, but the shocking part was that the Zombie was still standing as it smashed a half desiccated fist into Cole's chest, blasting him over the lake, all the way to the other side when he smashed into what used to be a boat shed.
His body broke one in half, as he lay there spread eagled, still injured and getting very annoyed. These zombies were attacking and acting faster than Cole could react to them, and that was saying something given Cole's abilities. But still there was no going back, they were still after him
Cole went to the massive hole he had made in the side of the boat shack, took his gun and aimed down once again. Then he began to low down every Zombie that was close enough.
Cole made sure the first three took two bullets each to the skull, his accuracy and precision on a whole other level as ducked down under a wild swipe, leaving a bullet in the zombies kneecap as he stepped forward and smashed the end of his rifle into the snarling throat mouth of another undead and pulled the trigger after the subsequent screech of pain it had released.
It's head felt to the ground as Cole turned and shot the zombie he had just crippled by shooting in the head. There was no cover by the lake, he had to move himself away from here, his aim was to get past this area, instead he has been stuck here fighting them.
[Gravity Rings]
[Storm Calling]
Why mess with a formula that works, as an army of the zombies crashed to the ground, their faces smashing into the earth and being rooted in place long enough for a ferocious storm to sweep through the areas, blasting down thick bolts of lightning the size of busses, then spreading that out into a million smaller ones that jumped from undead to undead.
Cole stumbled to the side with bout of lightheadedness assaulting him as his stomach rumbled. He was almost out of energy, of the two techniques he could only use one, once before he ended up severely drained. Cole summoned Seraphim, letting the angel drone take charge of his defense by hovering around him and opening fire on approaching undead as Cole moved his gun to his left hand and pulled his sword with his right.
[Hunting Pack]
A red circle popped up in front of a Cole as two Chaos wolves rushed out at the still approaching group/army of undead. They smashed into them with a massive flash with one of them even being torn to pieces immediately. Cole on the other hand dragged every last smidge of energy he had to used the
[Umbra Sword Garden]
He crashed down to the ground by that point, his vision turning black for a moment as a garden of energy sucking thorns spread out from him. However it was at that point that Azrael attacked, from four directions, and what was even worse was that each of those directions represented a possible angle of danger, and so the visions of all four scenarios of him being attack rushed at him at once with the fury of a boxing champion.
There was no time to react properly, Azrael's dagger slipped in between his ribs from the side. It was Cole's quick thinking that saved his life, as he had still moved to the side and away from. Azrael as the blade had just slipped besides his heart. The man vanished into thin air as Zombies rushed at Cole, not all of them successfully trapped by the garden of black roots and thorns.
He drained, this time doing it with a fury and a desperation that he had not shown throughout all this fight. He crossed his sword to black a falling hammer blow, the force from the strike drove his knees into the beach, as Cole threw his hand forwards, releasing a concentrated blast of gravity and chaos energy infused with the lightning from the still active [Storm Calling] technique. n)(0velB1n
*BOOM!*
The blast was released with his body at the epicenter, this pushed some of the zombies away from Cole and bought him enough time to drain every other Zombie that had been caught in the [Umbra Sword Garden]
A deluge of energy rushed into him, healing and topping him off, as he used what was left to empower his techniques. Cole fed as much energy as he could into the [Gravity Rings] skills that was still active in the air. It was weird how some zombies could still move relatively fast even under 100x times gravity.
There was a crackle of thunder and a loud boom as the Rings grew thicker, expanded and split as a fourth ring joined the three, raising the gravity by an extra 20 to give it 120x times of gravity as Cole began to spin the rings. Things were getting serious, at least for Cole.
The excess of the energy he infused into the Seraphim, changing it to it's turret form for the first time as the pitch black autonomous gun, stop besides him, with a rotating swivel, and spitting a rain of fiery and ice rays and bullets. As for Cole, he still kept spinning the rings, building power until a black spot suddenly appeared in the middle of the gigantic kilometer in diameter rings that was above his head and being pushed past it's limits. By this point even the zombies knew, that something was wrong.
