Chapter 1121: Chapter 1121 Diverging Paths

Name:Transmigrated As A Ghost Author:

Taking a moment, Boreas delved into the recesses of his mind to find any information on the name Marcus had just mentioned.

Eventually though, he looked at Marcus with an apoplectic expression and shook his head.

"I've been around for a long time and traveled to quite a few places, but I can't remember ever coming across or hearing about any vampires with the name of Draayer."

"I see. Well thanks for taking the time to think about it for me." Marcus replied, a dejected look on his face.

"Sorry that I couldn't be anymore help. Most vampires reside in the world below Mirrion's surface called the Darklands. In the past I went down there a couple of times, but I prefer to fly freely through the sky. Cramped tunnels that go on endlessly are not my cup of tea."

Hearing this remined Marcus of how Boreas had died back on Earth. The man had been buried alive when a ruin that he was exploring collapsed. Even if it was centuries ago for the person in question, such a trauma would likely never go away.

Once the two of them had fished talking, boreas asked to speak with Mrazivý alone for a few moments. Apparently, he had some advice that he wanted to impart to her.

"Lilia, are you doing okay?" Marcus asked seeing the concerned look on her face.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just, I'm worried about Master Ardea. When she left me, she had a pretty grave expression and now that I've found out that something could be going on with demons and cults, I can't help but wonder if she's alright."

Sensing his little sister's distress, Marcus quickly gave her words of reassurance.

"Ardea is one of the strongest people and the world, and the other Grand Witches like Jaela are with her. We've already fought some of the toughest fighters those demon worshippers have to offer and came out on top. I'm sure that Ardea is doing just fine."

This helped to perk Lilia up and she thanked Marcus for comforting her.

She then asked if he could give her any of the pastries he typically kept on hand.

"As a ruler I would like to say no. James and Fallon are two of the nation's greatest military assets. With possible danger on the horizon, I would prefer them not to leave Borealia at the moment." Aaren said with a stately air about him. "However, as your descendant, and a father. I shall instead leave the decision up to James and his beast companion. Only a few years ago he was not nearly as powerful as he is today. Our country was able to get by fine back then, so as long as Gwyneira is still here, things will not be any different from back then."

After Aaren had voiced his opinion, Boreas turned towards James to hear his response.

"I'm honored that you would want me to come along and assist you. But are you sure?" James asked.

There was no doubt that he was powerful for his level and that he had made significant gains in recent years, but he was still far from the seemingly unstoppable prowess Boreas possessed.

"Yes, my instincts have been telling me that something bad is brewing. Even with all the power I've gained, I still can't do everything alone. I've got a feeling that I'm going to need some backup, and I trust your and Fallon's abilities. Nothing would make me feel more secure than knowing that I can count on the two of you."

James could not help but smile when he received such open praise from Boreas. The man was a legend in Borealia and a figure that James practically idolized.

Without much hesitation, he agreed to go along with him to the Virborg Trench.

"Please take me as well!"

Suddenly standing up from her seat, Lilia loudly stated her desire and looked towards Boreas with determination in her eyes.

Marcus moved to calm Lilia down and get her to see reason, but Boreas stopped him by raising his hand.

"Lilia, the one thing that your master expressly told you not to do was to go to her. Are you certain that you want to disobey her orders? There is a very real chance that you could end up in danger of dying." Boreas said, unleashing a bit of intimation towards Lilia.

If she did not even have the nerve to stand up to the little bit of pressure he was exuded, there was no chance that she would be allowed to come along.

"It doesn't matter. Since the moment I was born, there's always been danger to my life. But I trained and fought hard with my brother and the others to get stronger so that I can protect myself and not hold them back. If you think that James and Fallon are capable enough to come along, then I am as well."
