…What’s with that look on his face?!

Su Huanyi quickly lowered his eyes and entered the bathroom.

He filled the bathtub with water and immersed himself in it. The heat steamed up, and he tilted his head back and let the moisture fill his brain.

–Was that the expression he always had when he thought of Su Chi?

That’s too frank. What’s the difference between that and admitting it?

Su Huanyi realized that it wasn’t that Su Chi could read minds, but that his eyes could speak.

There was no more need to attribute his racing heart to Su Chi’s charm. He was alone and his heart could still ripple like this; there was no other explanation other than “like”.

Alas…… it’s over. He bubbled with worry on the water’s surface. He might have been thoroughly cooked.

He got out of the bathtub forty minutes later.

He blow-dried his hair while looking at himself in the mirror. His smooth black hair was puffed up like a cage of grass, a handful of stubborn strands floating in the middle like a carp flag.

His drowsy brain was blown clearer and he accepted the fact that he liked Su Chi.

It wasn’t something he couldn’t accept. His big brother was perfect and so good at flirting. It was simply a matter of minutes to chase and catch someone.

It was admirable that he had managed to hold on until now!

Su Huanyi puffed out his small chest in self-satisfaction.

He deflated after half a minute of puffing up: so was he going to respond to Su Chi?

He was someone who thought long and hard about his feelings. His parents had left him one after another, and it was difficult for him to accept being left behind again. He wouldn’t be able to accept being separated if he and Su Chi got together.

And how would he live under the same roof as a family after they separated?

There are many, many more questions like that.

But –

The blow-dryer snapped shut and the space returned to silence.

Su Huanyi looked at himself in the mirror. He now stood in front of the mirror the same way he did when he crossed over and accepted his new identity and new world.

He never thought that he would transmigrate into a book. There were so many possibilities for the future, and he couldn’t just deny their beginnings just because of one of the unpleasant outcomes.

Besides, Su Chi seemed not to care, so what did he have to shrink from?

Having made up his mind, Su Huanyi put down the blow dryer and went back to the bedroom. He entered the warm bed and slowly closed his eyes…

He had to think of a ceremonious way to give his big brother a loving response before they went back to southern Yunnan tomorrow.

Hehe!

Su Huanyi got up early the next day and was ready to return to his old business—making a loving breakfast.

He planned to give his big brother a heart in a bowl, and when the latter asked in surprise, “How can this be?”

He will jump up and say, “I’m giving it to you.”

Su Huanyi changed his clothes and went downstairs. He poked his head through the kitchen door, where the maid was preparing breakfast.

She was just about to turn and get a spoon when she was startled by the strands of hair floating in the backlit kitchen doorway!

“Eh, young master, what are you looking at from there?”

Su Huanyi stretched his neck to look, “Are there any rice balls today?”

“Young master wanted to eat rice balls? You should have told me earlier. I made some porridge, which is lighter and easier to digest since you have a flight today.”

“Oh, can porridge be twisted and shaped?”

The maid was horrified, “No, you can’t, it’ll turn into slop!”

Su Huanyi had to give up with regret. He entered the kitchen and took a personal tour, and then his eyes settled on the two plates of poached eggs.

…..seems to be wide enough.

Ten minutes later, the maids brought all of the breakfast to the table. Su Huanyi brought a knife and fork over and started to cut the eggs in front of Su Chi’s place. He remembered the lesson on 2D dumplings, and he tried to cut them into an objective heart shape this time.

He started by cutting a triangle off the top of the egg, then hesitated for a couple of seconds at the piece of egg white that had nowhere to go. He decided to temporarily put it in his mouth.

After placing it, he started to carve the edges again.

This was the scene Su Chi saw when he came down to the dining room—his

dumpling was glued to the front of his seat, taking knife and fork and secretly stealing protein.

He leaned against the door frame and called out, “Su Huanyi.”

Su Huanyi was in the middle of his carving when a familiar voice called out to him, and he almost burst the egg yolk!

He quickly looked up and saw Su Chi at the doorway with his arms crossed. His tolerant gaze fell on the half-finished product on the plate. “Just take it back to your seat and eat it if you want it. When have I ever been stingy with you? ”

Su Huanyi: “…”

No, I didn’t want to eat. I was trying to make a love breakfast!

He opened his mouth to explain, but found that he still had the “temporary” egg white in his mouth, so he had to chew and swallow it.

Su Chi’s eyes had “sure enough” written all over them.

Su Huanyi choked instantly.

Su Chi walked over and moved the plate to the opposite seat. “Here you go. Sit down and eat. What else do you want? ”

The egg white was finally swallowed with a gulp.

Su Huanyi met his big brother’s generous and tolerant eyes and felt that he was in no position to point at the plate of eggs and say, “This is my heart to you.”

His head drooped.

Su Chi patted his head, “Eat.”

Su Huanyi wanted to cry, “Thank you, big brother.”

………..

They went upstairs after breakfast and brought their suitcases downstairs.

It was cold outside, so Su Huanyi wrapped a thick scarf around his neck. They changed their shoes and went out, the cold winter breeze hitting them in the face.

Su Huanyi smelled an opportunity in the strong, harsh wind.

He raised the untied half of his scarf, aiming at Su Chi’s neck as he threw it up, “Big brother!”

Su Chi turned his head and saw a scarf hanging behind their necks. The height difference made it look like a majestic waterfall.

The front of their necks were wide open and the cold wind poured in. The effect of this scarf was like a *fairy streamer.

Su Chi also discovered this problem: this seems to be different from what he imagined.

Don’t the two people in the TV drama series share a scarf, warming each other in the cold wind and promising to be each other’s only one?

He came closer and threw the hem of the scarf over their necks. Su Chi watched him with downcast eyes, not stopping Su Huanyi’s almost murderous behavior until the scarf was wrapped around their necks.

Su Huanyi looked up at Su Chi, who was close to him with a slightly bent back. “Are you warm, big brother?”

Su Chi said in a soft voice, “I’m fine, just suffocating.”

Su Huanyi: ” …”

The scarf was loosened and put back on Su Huanyi’s neck. The cab they had called arrived at the gate, so Su Chi carried his suitcase over.

Su Huanyi followed with his strands of hair hanging down.

He was despondent. Was he naturally unsuited to flirting with people?

Why was it so smooth every time his big brother teased him?

……..

They took the taxi to the airport and boarded the plane on time after their luggage was checked in.

Before setting off, Su Chi sent a message to the family group, reporting their flight number and landing time. Su Jitong quickly replied with a message…

[Su Jitong]: Welcome back eldest and Little Yi! I’ll have driver Lin waiting outside the airport. [Rose].

[Su Chi]: Got it. Thanks, Dad.

Su Huanyi had some anxiety after reading the message – wouldn’t it be even more inconvenient to respond to Su Chi when he was integrated into the happy family?

If the two were to establish a relationship, they would definitely *bobo a bit, and his fragile physique would expose them when he wasn’t paying attention.

It seemed that his last chance was before they landed.

The seats booked were still in first class and in rows of two, where Su Huanyi sat by the window.

Su Huanyi quickly grabbed Su Chi’s hand the moment the plane took off. He jammed his fingers in tightly, clasping their hands together.

Su Chi glanced at him and slightly returned the grip.

The plane pulled up and the shock and dizziness hit him at the same time. Su Huanyi knew that this was not a good time to respond. It was better to wait until the flight was smooth.

The plane stabilized after about five minutes, and Su Huanyi looked at their clasped hands. He was about to say something when an announcement came from overhead.

“The plane has just entered a stable flight and may be affected by the turbulence. Don’t worry, but please don’t move around for the time being. ”

Then a flight attendant quickly passed through the corridor, talking to them softly.

Su Huanyi was looking at her when a voice fell to his side, “What are you looking at?”

He withdrew his gaze and turned to Su Chi. Their hands were still clasped together at this moment, and Su Huanyi glanced at them, “I’m studying Mencius’ philosophy.”

–The time, the place, and the people.

Su Chi rubbed his fingers over him, “No wonder you are so knowledgeable.”

Su Huanyi temporarily put Mencius behind him and said, “Because I’m studying whenever and wherever I can?”

“Because you study in the sky.”

Su Huanyi: “…”

His eyes dimmed: it’s better not to respond.

………..…

After a while, the flight attendant pushed the cart to them and asked the passengers what they wanted to drink. She was almost in front of him, and Su Huanyi remembered that he was still holding hands with Su Chi. His heart warmed up, and he moved his hand to pull it away.

The hand tightened and Su Chi held him in his grip. “Why are you running away?”

Su Huanyi didn’t move.

He thought with a thumping heartbeat; as if I could respond.

A moment later, the flight attendant pushed the food cart to a stop in front of them, “Excuse me, may I know what the two of you ……” Her eyes paused on the clasped hands. “What do you need?”

Her endnote floated subtly.

Su Huanyi pursed his lips without replying, while Su Chi calmly said to her, “Give him a glass of room temperature cola. I’ll have a coffee, please.”

“Yes, sir, your coke.” The flight attendant poured the coke and handed it over. Su Chi took it in his right hand and placed it on Su Chi’s tabletop. He then took his coffee.

The flight attendant was still suppressing the corners of her mouth that were out of line with the industry standard as she walked away. She didn’t restrain her voice from twirling like a happy lark when she spoke to the next customer.

Su Huanyi: “…”

Su Chi chuckled softly.

Su Huanyi found that his big brother was laughing more often lately. It was not the sneer that he was familiar with, but a deep, heartfelt laugh.

Su Huanyi shook their hands, slightly conveying his dissatisfaction, “What were you doing? Didn’t you say not to do things in public that make people misunderstand? ”

Su Chi squeezed him and glanced at him, “Is it a misunderstanding?”

“…” Su Huanyi was instantly speechless.

He had lost. He was still thinking about studying the timing and location, but his big brother didn’t need all this at all. His big brother could go to heaven by himself!

Su Huanyi drank his favorite cola and Su Chi told him to take a nap. He couldn’t sleep; he had not yet found the opportunity to respond ceremoniously!

But that doesn’t stop his elder brother from being reliable. Su Huanyi leaned on his shoulder, thinking that it was okay to nap while looking for opportunities.

Perhaps the air conditioning was too comfortable, or Su Chi’s shoulder was just the right size to lean on, but Su Huanyi soon slept off.

Su Chi looked down and gently adjusted to a comfortable position.

………

A little over an hour later, Su Huanyi opened his dazed eyes with his bird’s nest out.

In his ears was the announcement, prompting passengers to put away their tabletops as the plane was ready to land.

Damn it! Su Huanyi was instantly awake. I slept through the right time and the right place!

Su Chi put the table away, and the flight attendants quickly walked down the aisle to check one by one. The window shades on the portholes were also opened, and a bright skylight fell into the cabin through a sea of clouds.

“Awake from your nap?” Su Chi whispered.

“Awake.” Su Huanyi murmured absentmindedly.

Su Huanyi had tears for the second time.

As they spoke, the plane began to pull down. Their hands were still clasped together. Su Huanyi was thinking about whether he should just forget about making a ceremonious confession and talk to his big brother directly – when Su Chi suddenly pulled him closer.

He lifted his head as Su Chi leaned over, the distance between them closing in a matter of breaths.

Perhaps it was because of the weightlessness as the plane descended or their breaths that were gradually intertwining between them, but Su Huanyi’s heart beat a little faster.

“What’s wrong?”

“You’ve been saying something to me today.”

His heart thumped and skipped a beat. Su Huanyi’s chest rose and fell as he met Su Chi’s handsome face, which was close at hand. He could even see how the usually cold eyes were burning at the moment.

His breathing was tight, and their eyes were glued together.

He spoke, “I….”

“I know even if you don’t say it.” Su Chi was looking at him with a rare gentle expression, saying, “You are too easy to read.”

Their minds suddenly connected at some point as they looked at each other. Su Huanyi looked into Su Chi’s eyes, and then he closed his eyes as if in acquiescence.

His vision was dark, and he only felt a slightly urgent breath wrapped in warmth fall onto his lips.

At the same time, the plane touched down gently.

The wheels brushed against the runway and a gentle kiss landing was achieved.
