The next day when Ji Nian woke up, she took a look at the time. It was 8 o’clock in the morning. She hurried to wash up since it was hot outside.

She directly put on a long T-shirt, paired with ultrashort denim shorts that were very popular recently, revealing her two fair and long legs. The bottom half disappeared outfit was in fashion.

After washing her face, she didn’t put on any makeup either, mainly because there was none at home to buy. She was very poor. She tied her hair in a ponytail, changed into a pair of white sneakers and went out.

To keep a low profile, she still habitually put on a face mask. After all, her name was still trending on the hot search.

Ji Nian took the bus then transferred to the subway. She didn’t even have time to eat breakfast and felt a little regretful. She should have bought two buns to fill her stomach. Now she was really a little hungry.

"Hey, have you seen the new TV series that came out yesterday? I read the novel when I was in middle school. I thought it would be changed drastically again but it turned out pretty good to watch." A young woman said to her friend next to her.

"Nowadays many novels are adapted into TV series. I don't watch them at all. The adaptations are utterly disappointing," another girl replied.

"No, no, you should go take a look. The new actress is amazing, I tell you, especially the second female lead, Shen Shuyao, the casting fits perfectly with the original novel.” The woman said excitedly.

"Really? Then I'll watch it tonight."

Ji Nian overheard them to the side and couldn't help smiling. Shen Shuyao was about to become popular. After she finished discussing the copyrights today, she would befriend this big shot and keep in touch more since they haven't contacted each other for many days.

Hearing the subway stop broadcast, Ji Nian checked the map on her phone and hurried off the subway hastily, fortunately she paid attention, otherwise she would have missed her stop.

At this moment, her phone WeChat notification prompted a message. She opened it to take a look. It was from Peng He:

Peng He: Ms. Ji, where are you now?

Ji Nian: Almost there, just got off the subway.

"What are you dazing out for?" A doubtful voice came over. A man was dressed leisurely in sportswear, wearing a duck bill cap with his slender legs casually crossed and resting.

Peng He looked up to see the man in front of him who was surrounded by an aura of nobility despite his casual wear. His temperament was still gentle and elegant.

Ji Nian nodded and stuffed the face mask into the small handbag she brought with her, answering, “It was okay. I left home early in the morning and arrived just before 12.”

Peng He was startled for a moment, somewhat embarrassed, “I’m sorry, is this place too far from your home?”

Ji Nian laughed and replied, "It's not that it's far from here, but that it's far from the city center."

"Then you had a hard time coming all this way. Please take a seat first. I've ordered the dishes, they’ll be delivered soon." Peng He quickly welcomed her to sit down.

Although Ji Nian felt a little uncomfortable, she still sat down. She found that a man who had been silent all this while was sitting opposite her. Feeling curious, she looked over.

On the contrary, with the hat off, his whole face was revealed clearly. His eyes smiled at her amusedly.

"Meeting Ms. Ji for the first time, I didn't expect she would be such an interesting person." Yu Luobai said with a smile.

Ji Nian was startled. Was this handsome guy praising her? What should she do? She felt so excited that her whole body felt a little shy.
