"You don't know, last time we ran into each other in the elevator, I was so happy but also regretted not talking more to my idol." Shen Shuyao's eyes were full of stars as she asked, "Xiao Nian, how did you get to know him?"

After an hour, Shen Shuyao reapplied her makeup in record time.

She changed into a little black dress that set off her fair complexion beautifully. Her slightly wavy hair draped over her shoulders gave her an air of maturity and charm.

In contrast, Ji Nian was a stark difference in casual wear - white sneakers, fitted blue jeans, an oversized black t-shirt.

"Xiao Nian, you're going out like that?" Shen Shuyao was putting on lipstick.

Ji Nian looked at her outfit, seemingly nothing wrong with it. She always dressed however she was most comfortable. "I think this is fine."

Shen Shuyao was already used to the woman's daily casual style of wearing whatever she found in her closet. "Well, I guess it's fine since you don't like dressing up anyway."

"Um...do you have to wear formalwear at that restaurant?" Ji Nian still felt uneasy asking.

This question made Shen Shuyao pause. She thought about it, and it didn't seem like there was any such requirement. Anyway, she had always been in the private rooms before. But probably not, right?

"Probably not, I think. Or you should change into something more formal?" Shen Shuyao asked.

Ji Nian felt it was troublesome and shook her head. "Nevermind, too lazy to change."

Soon, the driver came to pick them up. By the time they arrived at the destination, the sky was already completely dark.

Walking into the restaurant, the soft lights of the crystal chandeliers created an elegant and tranquil atmosphere. The extravagant decor gave an imposing and luxurious feeling, as if walking into a magnificent palace.

Ji Nian regretted not changing into something more formal, because the restaurant staff were all looking at her strangely now.

Ji Nian said awkwardly, "Um...I know this is a high-end restaurant, but I didn't expect it to be so fancy."

Shen Shuyao stifled a laugh and said, "I told you to change clothes earlier."

Ji Nian linked arms with the female lead, no longer feeling awkward. Laughing, she said, "It's okay. With you here, just take this country bumpkin to open her eyes."

"That makes sense." Ji Nian thought she was overthinking it. After all, high end restaurants like this place keeping their customers' privacy was basic.
