Chapter 83
(Author's note: 2022.6.18: This preface was written on 2022.3.11, and after some time, the male lead was confirmed to be Yu Luobai. You can skip this chapter or take a look.)
Ah, the familiar recipe and familiar process - this is the second time I'm writing this preface.
Hello ladies, I am the author Shen Piaopiao (~ ̄▽ ̄~)~
First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm not actually a professional novelist; some of my older fans may have known me from my first book, 'The Legitimate Daughter'.
My journey into writing novels was purely by chance. One day, I read a time-travel romance novel set in ancient times, and that indulgent story got me hooked. That night, as I lay in bed, a thought suddenly occurred to me: what kind of story would it be if the female lead failed to achieve her revenge even after being reborn?
That's how 'The Legitimate Daughter Wants to Be a Slacker After Rebirth' came into being, marking my transition from a reader to a 28th-tier obscure online writer.
Since I have a day job that requires me to work even on weekends, being able to maintain a pace of one chapter per day is already my best effort.
Habits are truly terrifying. When I was nearing the end of my first book, my mind was already getting restless, and I decided to write a second book.
Initially, I didn't take it too seriously. After writing 'The Legitimate Daughter' for half a year, I had simply gotten used to writing every night.
So this book, 'The Supporting Female Lead', was written rather casually by me.
Regarding the suggestion that many of you want Yu Luobai to be the male lead, I'll give you a response today.
First: This book has only reached 170,000 words, and the framework isn't mature enough yet.
Second: Since I write casually, I don't know how the later development will unfold.
Third: The original male lead was meant to be Pei Doctor, with an antagonistic role, but he hasn't had many opportunities to appear, so his presence is limited.
I know everyone likes Yu Luobai, but I can't give a definite answer because during my first book, I promised to change the male lead for the readers, but it ended up being a mess later on.
And an author's thoughts tend to change frequently. To avoid a repeat of the past, let's not argue about this for now.
I'll just keep writing, and from now on, the male lead is undecided. You can treat it like opening a blind box - whoever ends up being the final lead, that's who it is. It all depends on my mood later on, hahaha.
Those of you who like Yu Luobai still have a chance, and the same goes for Pei Doctor.
Just enjoy reading the book and ship whichever couple you like. If there's anything, we'll discuss it later (?>◇<?)
Love you all~
