CH 25

The sun was just setting when Chen Fann woke up.

After sleeping throughout the noon, he finally regained his energy.

With sufficient mental energy, he could once again enter the underground and kill the second Mountain Troll.

Chen Fann didn’t delay and immediately got up. Since the sun had just set and the sky was not completely dark, It would be more easier for him to move around.

He left the dragon egg in the supermarket and walked into the underground tunnel alone. It would be inconvenient and impossible for him to move and kill the Mountain Troll while carrying the dragon egg.

In any case, there was no one on Earth, so he could just place the dragon egg anywhere without worrying if someone would take it.

Under the guidance of the system, Chen Fann soon arrived at the second Mountain Troll’s nest.

This Mountain Troll had yet to fully awaken. Of course, its level of arrogance matched the previous two dead Mountain Trolls since it didn’t take his arrival seriously.

In short, his operation was very smooth. Since the persistent corrosive poison in the Mountain Troll’s nest could not cause him harm, there were no accidents throughout the entire process.

Under the Devil Sound Piercing the Ears and Evil God’s attack, the Mountain Troll was instantly killed.

Just like that, he had killed two Mountain Trolls, within a day, one in the morning and the other at night.

Progressively, he would have to wait until the next day to kill the last Mountain Troll.

As long as he killed the last Mountain Troll, he would be able to temporarily relax. At least, once it died, all the extraordinary creatures in the city would be cleared by him.

When Chen Fann returned to the supermarket from the lair, the sun had completely set down the hillside, replaced by darkness.

The night was especially dark with no visible stars or even the moon. It was so dark that he couldn’t  see his fingers. Even though his eyes had long adapted to darkness, he couldn’t see past five meters.

Tonight, it seemed that he wouldn’t be able to go to the north area where the last Mountain Troll was located.

Fortunately, he didn’t intend to rush there tonight. After all, after using the Devil Sound Piercing the Ears and the call of Evil God , his mind was exhausted. He just wanted to lie down and rest for the night then rush over the next morning.

On a night where he couldn’t even see his own fingers, his movement speed would be greatly affected. Therefore, it would be more efficient to wait until dawn before moving.

Therefore, after returning to the supermarket, Chen Fann hugged the dragon egg to sleep for another night.

On the dawn of he next day, after Chen Fann woke up, he opened the kettle and drank a mouthful of water. He then directly carried the dragon egg and rushed to the north district where the last Mountain Troll was.

Just like yesterday, after he reached his destination, he placed the dragon egg on top of it then proceeded into the Mountain Troll’s lair alone.

Logically speaking, after killing three Mountain Trolls, he was already very familiar with this kind of thing. Compared to two days ago when he was a pure newbie, currently, he had rich experience in hunting Mountain Trolls.

Furthermore, in order to be cautious and not increase the risk, he chose to kill the last Mountain Troll a day earlier in advance.

He shouldn’t be panicking at all.

But for some unknown reason, since he entered the underground, an inexplicable sense of unease rose in his heart.

The uneasiness grew even stronger especially as he got closer to the Mountain troll’s lair.

As if to confirm the uneasiness in his heart, rocks kept falling from above along his way, there even were a few times when they almost hit him.

This kind of situation had never happened before when hunting Mountain Trolls!

When he previously hunted the three Mountain Trolls, he had never encountered such a situation where rocks kept falling. The underground tunnel was always unimpeded.

He didn’t know whether it was affected by the environment or not, but nevertheless, he became more uneasy.

Moreover, he didn’t know whether or not it was an illusion, but the more uneasy he felt, the fiercer the rocks fell.

“What’s going on? Why am I so uneasy?”  Chen Fann frowned.

The feeling was like giving him an early warning not to go any further, that the further he went, the more dangerous it would get.

“Oh! Powerful Lord Mountain Troll, your devout follower welcomes your arrival!”

Just as Chen Fann was hesitating whether to advance or not due to the uneasiness in his heart, he suddenly heard a group of Mountain Gnomes’ voices coming from the cave ahead. Their excited tone, uniform and orderly, spread and surged through the underground tunnel.

“Puny servants, it is your ore that allowed me to awaken early. As gratitude, I will conquer this land and give you the best treatment.”

“After countless years of slumber, I have finally returned to this land.”

Rumble! rumble! rumble!

The earth trembled violently causing the mountains to collapse and the earth to split apart. In the underground tunnel, countless rubbles tumbled down as the heavens collapsed. It was like the end of the world had arrived.

Like an agile leopard, Chen Fann who was caught in the midst of the chaos, dodged countless falling rocks and fled frantically.

Fortunately, he was as fast as he was agile. The collapsing land didn’t smash nor bury him.

In fact, when he heard the sound of the Mountain Gnome, Chen Fann had already sensed the danger. Without any hesitation, he rushed madly out of the ground.

Although he cautiously calculated every way, an accident still occurred.

The last Mountain Troll had completely awakened.

No wonder he was so uneasy after entering the underground.

The Mountain Troll had completely awakened. Going to its lair at this time was no different from courting death. The underground was the Mountain Troll’s world as it could easily cause the land to collapse and bury him. Only by fighting on the ground would he be able to minimize the risk.

But this was the first time he was facing a fully awakened extraordinary creature. He didn’t  have absolute confidence in winning.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

The earth was still shaking when Chen Fann escaped from the underground. He picked up the dragon egg and ran. Below was the Mountain Troll’s nest, staying there would only put him in danger.

Just as Chen Fann had expected, the hill he was on collapsed as he ran away.

In the next moment, Chen Fann saw a shocking scene.

With a huge body like a mountain range, the Mountain Troll emerged from the ground. The tiny Mountain Gnome living on its hill-like head were like a colony of ants, not even one of them fell down.

Not only was the Mountain Troll huge and wide, but it also had a huge body that blocked the sunlight. It was as if the entire city had fallen into his shadow, the darkness attacking and covering the sun and sky.

Although he had seen the Mountain Troll underground, it was far less appalling than seeing it on the ground.

Only now did he realize that the Mountain Troll he saw in the underground world was not the complete and true appearance. Its huge intimidating body was even bigger than Godzilla who he had seen in the movies.

“Hahahaha… Big Brother, Second Brother, Fourth Brother, I’m back!”

The huge Mountain Troll roared towards the sky and released a deafening sound wave. When the huge mouth of the blood basin opened, it was like a violent wind, as if it was searching for resonance.
