“Another gospel book?”  Chen Fann originally planned on using the Evil God to fight, but when he heard the system’s proposal, he was immediately tempted.

If he could find other gospel books to read and obtain a new ability, the probability of him defeating the Forest Troll would undoubtedly increase greatly.

After all, the abilities learned from the first gospel book belonged to the spiritual realm. Since the Forest Troll couldn’t be dealt with using such abilities, he believed the ones he would acquire from the second book would undoubtedly be different. He did not believe that his luck would be so bad.

However, did the System know the location of the other gospel book?

At this critical juncture, he didn’t have much time to search for gospel books all over the world.  If he doesn’t know where the Gospel is, the Forest Tree’s Psychedelic Forest would have extensively expanded by the time he finishes searching for it.

“That’s right. Why else did the System sleep for so many years this time?” The System asked “It was to optimally adjust its condition so as to better sense the existence of the Gospels.”

“Fortunately, the second gospel book is not too far away from the host. Although Forest Troll’s early recovery disrupted the rhythm of the system to a certain extent, it still sensed the book’s location.

“Where is it?”

“The neighboring province of En.”

Chen Fann, who had read more than 140,000 books, instantly thought of something. The distance between En Province and the Mountain City was about 350 kilometers. “Chirp.”

Chen Fann woke up Chirp, who was still sleeping on the bed.

“Chirp chirp ~” Chirp opened her big silver eyes and looked at Chen Fann in a daze.

“Chirp, come with me. We need to leave this place.”  Chen Fann made an attacking gesture and said, “Later, go out and let go of your limbs then spit fire.”

Since he was still inside the base, the trees outside could not see him. But once he left the base, the Forest Troll could immediately sense him.

Although Chirp’s firepower was not strong enough, the flames should be able to suppress the trees. After all, fire could raze down trees to death.

While instructing Chirp, Chen Fann also put on his equipment.

Then he brought Chirp out of the base.

Currently, a dim crescent moon hung in the dark night sky. Its faint silver glints spilled down, obscuring the late spring night with a layer of silver gauze, bringing with it a slight cool chill.

The moment Chen Fann stepped out of the base,

a murderous aura immediately swept over from all directions.

The surrounding peach trees swayed violently, their petals falling down, as if the night was haunted.

However, Chen Fann knew very well that it wasn’t a ghost. It was Forest Troll, who was a hundred times more terrifying than a ghost, controlling these peach trees.

A dark and gloomy green pupil slowly emerged from the shadows of the trees in the night. His figure was reflected in the terrifying vertical pupil.

In the next moment, the branches of the peach trees instantly turned into strange vines. Like tentacles to ghosts and animals, they attacked him.

“Chirp, spit fire!”

While instructing Chirp, Chen Fann used lightning speed to dodge the vines that attacked him.

Fortunately, if not for his lightning fast speed, he would have been unable to dodge such rapid and dense tentacle attacks.

Moreover, not only could he avoid the densely packed tentacles, whilst dodging, he could also pull his bow and shoot arrows at the dark green vertical pupil in the shadows.

However, the arrows didn’t hit the dark green vertical pupil. Instead, they directly passed through it as if it was air.

Could it be an illusion?

Chen Fann tried using the Devil Sound Piercing the Ears, but unfortunately, it was still useless.

Sure enough, it was the strongest devil seed. Its resilience to these strange abilities alone were incomparable to the Mountain Trolls’.

It seemed like he really needed to go to En Province and find another gospel book. Only by acquiring other abilities would he be able to kill it foolproofly.

“Chirp, retreat with me!”

Seeing that he couldn’t defeat the Forest Troll, Chen Fann decisively withdrew.

But how could the Forest Troll let him leave so easily?

Countless vine tentacles formed a tight but huge phalanx formation around Chen Fann, not offering an escape leeway.

“Chirp!” Seeing Chen Fann being attacked, Chirp instantly exploded. She was so angry that her tail stood up, her soft but powerful voice turning into a violent sound wave attack. As if her sound had turned into substantial blades, it unstoppably ripped through the clouds and towards the tentacle vines that blocked the way.

“Chirp, good job!”

As expected of a high-ranking extraordinary creature, even when it was only in its infancy, it was able to display such terrifying strength when it was angry.

Taking advantage of this gap, Chen Fann and Chirp ran out of the encirclement in an instant. His speed was very fast as he ran straight towards the center of the city.

Looking at Chirp who was fleeing with Chen Fann,

a cold killing intent burst out from the dark green vertical pupils.

Although Chen Fann and Chirp had escaped to the city, the Psychedelic Forest had extensively extended all around. Wherever they passed, the Forest Troll’s eyes were visible. Tree tentacles constantly attacked, not giving them a chance to breath.

“This won’t do. If this continues, I won’t be able to get rid of Forest Troll.”

“The city has been covered by the psychedelic forest and his eyes are everywhere. Only by avoiding these trees can I escape successfully.”

There was no place for him to hide in the city. Even if he walked through the waterway, psychedelic trees lined its banks.
