Chapter 263: Hunting an Outer God!
Skritch! Skritch!
The Outer God clawed at the hard, rocky ground with its spidery legs, attempting to rise back into the vast sky.
An overwhelming gravitational force suddenly pressed down on it.
The natural law of the world shackled its spider legs, burdening them with overwhelming weight.
Despite repeated attempts to get off the ground, the Outer God was firmly confined to the Resolute Expanse.
Its malevolent gaze fell on the black turtle, sinister energy brimming within its eyes.
Boom!
In response, the black turtle lifted one of its enormous limbs and stomped heavily, causing the earth to quake.
This single action made it clear the black turtle was responsible for manipulating the laws of nature and trapping the Outer God to the Resolute Expanse.
The Outer God trembled.
"It can't escape now," Pang Jian called to the black turtle, flying toward the fallen Outer God on the Black Iron Mountain. "These incomplete Outer Gods will fall one after another on our fragmented land."
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The enormous Star Crushing Umbrella and the Nine Sun Cauldron hurtled toward the Outer God.
The black turtle stood unmoving, curious gaze fixed on Pang Jian.
It had not expected Pang Jian to unleash such formidable power upon returning to the Resolute Expanse, to the point of even overwhelming an Outer God.
After a brief hesitation, it sent another message, informing him of a second Outer God roaming in the sea of massive boulders above, seemingly searching for something.
It wanted to lure it down and kill it.
"There's another one?" Pang Jian pondered for a moment, then asked, "How confident are you in handling one Outer God on your own? Could you win against two if I wasn't here?"
The black turtle told him it could confidently defeat one, but not two.
Pang Jian's fighting spirit surged.
"Let's lure it down!"
Fighting on the Resolute Expanse had greatly bolstered his confidence.
The arachnid Outer God did not give him the feeling of suffocating pressure it once did in Spirit Offering.
He firmly believed that he and the black turtle could easily take it down!
Skritch! Skritch!
The Outer God's spider legs continued to stab into the ground, gouging deep holes in the cold, hard rock.
It appeared to be struggling.
Pang Jian charged toward the Outer God on the Black Iron Mountain, wielding his shining silver spear.
The Outer God abruptly ceased its movements and its cold, indifferent eyes fixed on Pang Jian.
Its eyes rippled with eerie waves, radiating a sinister power capable of leading souls astray.
The Outer God manipulated the web woven from silver hair in Pang Jian's sea of consciousness, spreading it out and ensnaring Pang Jian's divine senses.
Whoosh!
The web seemed to transform into an extension of the Outer God's eyes, rippling with mysterious waves to generate a terrifying pull!
Pang Jian's well-controlled divine sense turned unruly under the Outer God's renewed attack.
His one hundred and thirty-six strands of divine sense were all drawn toward the silver web.
The web, infused with sinister power, resembled the gaping maw of the Outer God, ready to devour Pang Jian's divine sense.
Pang Jian hurriedly refocused his mind, halting the Black Iron Mountain as he concentrated on regaining control over his divine sense.
As Pang Jian focused on pulling his divine sense away from the web, it buzzed eagerly as it dove headfirst into the silver web.
It grabbed hold of the web's threads and started gnawing furiously!
The Outer God's cold eyes flashed with fear.
It shrieked, trying desperately to fly upward, attempting to at least have its enchanting face escape the gravitational hold.
Its spider body and limbs were all but forgotten.
All the Outer God wanted was to escape to the sky. It did not want to stay in this cursed place any longer.
The Outer God appeared to recognize the golden bee.
It seemed to know its web woven from its divine consciousness was no match for the bee's ravenous bite.
When did it emerge from its cocoon?
Pang Jian was also taken aback.
When he instinctively shouted "Gate of the Abyss" out of desperation, he had not expected the Bee Sovereign to awaken!
The Bee Sovereign had entered his sea of consciousness without him noticing. The bronze pendant also had not experienced any changes.
By the time Pang Jian realized something was amiss, the golden bee was already feasting on the web.
It appeared to be enjoying its meal immensely.
Pang Jian's thoughts stirred as he realized he could still sense the presence of the bee pupa. Taking out the bronze pendant, he noticed a small crack in the Gate of the Abyss.
The golden pupa was still in the beehive.
Is that the Bee Sovereign's soul?
Pang Jian was astounded.
The Bee Sovereign pupa had sensed the Outer God's intrusion into Pang Jian's sea of consciousness and sent its soul there. It could already devour the arachnid Outer God's web even though it had yet to hatch.
A fully-emerged Bee Sovereign would surely be far more terrifying.
The golden bee glowed intensely after devouring a third of the silver web.
Buzz! Buzz!
The bee had split into two!
The two golden bees continued their eager feasting on the web.
After a short while, the two bees split again, totaling four golden bees.
The web was consumed at a startling speed.
Before long, the web was completely devoured.
The four identical golden bees had round, full bellies, looking thoroughly satisfied after their hearty feast.
The transparent wings of the golden bees fluttered as they flew down to an acupoint at the bottom of Pang Jian's sea of consciousness.
Plop! Plop! Plop! Plop!
The four golden bees spat out four drops of golden honey into the acupoint.
The bees' swollen bellies shrank and they disappeared from Pang Jian's sea of consciousness.
Before Pang Jian could react, the bronze pendant started greedily absorbing the blood essence from his body once more.
Rich blood essence surged from his Providence Mystic Reservoir Acupoint and poured into the beehive within the bronze pendant.
Four golden glowing pupae had appeared beneath the Bee Sovereign's pupa.
Pang Jian's blood essence was used to nourish and grow these new bee pupae.
The Outer God's web in my sea of consciousness was nothing more than a source of energy for the Bee Sovereign to create new bee pupae!
