Chapter 300: Nether Abyss Spirit Bees

A marvelous sensation filled Pang Jian.

It was as if he had three additional bodies and souls.

These three versions of himself wielded the Startling Slaughter Spear, the Star Crushing Umbrella, and the Nine Suns Cauldron respectively as they charged up toward Ka Zi.

Stellar, lunar, and cold energies rapidly flowed from his spiritual sea into the Star Crushing Umbrella.

His blazing solar energy and fiery earthflame energy also streamed into the Nine Suns Cauldron.

The golden divine sense acted as a bridge between his spiritual sea and the spirit artifacts, supplying them with the required energies and allowing them to battle remotely.

The infusion of his golden divine sense also granted the spirit artifacts part of Pang Jian's soul!

Li Yuanchen could clone himself on the Sword Boat because of his silver divine sense! Pang Jian realized.

Li Yuanchen's three clones—wielding a silver hammer, a frosty square seal, and exhaling grayish-green smoke—had likely been created by infusing silver divine sense into his spirit artifacts and using his blood essence to make them more tangible.

Let me try infusing blood essence as well, Pang Jian mused.

A surge of rich blood essence flowed from his Providence Mystic Reservoir Acupoint into the Startling Slaughter Spear, imbuing the golden divine sense with vitality.

Whoosh!

A hazy, ethereal figure resembling Pang Jian charged at Ka Zi with the Startling Slaughter Spear in hand!

"As I thought!" Pang Jian exclaimed, delighted at the uses of his golden divine sense.

A dazzling river of stars appeared in the foliage-covered sky.

The Star Crushing Umbrella radiated starlight and moonlight, while miniature suns encircled the Nine Suns Cauldron, creating a spectacle of celestial bodies.

A hazy figure held a spear and charged at Ka Zi like a deity enveloped in a starry glow.

"Is he really a Sword Pavilion disciple?" Xiao Yu's pretty face filled with astonishment.

Pang Jian was clearly still on the ground. She simply could not understand where the spear-wielding clone surrounded by a dark crimson protective shield had come from.

Was it a divine soul leaving the body?

Xiao Yu was astounded.

The Sword Pavilion disciple appeared truly mysterious in her eyes.

"So, you know how to use divine sense—impressive." Ka Zi smirked and lightly tapped the air with his wooden staff.

Rumble! Rumble!

Massive ancient trees uprooted themselves and charged toward the Star Crushing Umbrella and the Nine Suns Cauldron.

A flurry of leaves swarmed the Nine Suns Cauldron and the Star Crushing Umbrella like birds and butterflies.

The blazing heat of the Nine Suns Cauldron reduced some of the leaves to ash.

The starlight and moonlight radiating from the Star Crushing Umbrella also destroyed a wave of leaves.

However, the leaves were seemingly endless, and there were simply too many to clear away completely.

The overwhelming foliage soon smothered the radiance of the Nine Suns Cauldron and the Star Crushing Umbrella.

For Pang Jian, it was like those two versions of himself had gone blind, as all he could see were leaves.

Ka Zi had successfully confined the Star Crushing Umbrella and Nine Suns Cauldron.

Converge! Pang Jian mentally commanded.

The twelve strands of golden divine sense in the Star Crushing Umbrella and Nine Suns Cauldron disregarded spatial boundaries and merged into the spear-wielding figure.

Piercing gold eyes appeared on the hazy version of Pang Jian holding the spear.

The hazy figure thrust the silver spear into the air, unleashing a blazing radiance as it demonstrated the true essence of the Chaos Sword Technique.

A chaotic aura that threw all energies into disarray emanated from the peculiar figure.

The stabbing branches, swirling leaves, and ancient trees were cut off from Ka Zi the instant they entered the range of the chaotic field.

Order is collapsing, and the Daos of nature are in disarray. What kind of Dao does he cultivate? Ka Zi thought in alarm.

Ka Zi had a rudimentary understanding of the Abyss and knew the human race was the ruler of this world.

He was also aware that the human race possessed a unique cultivation system that had many similarities and overlaps with the bloodlines of the major races, such as lightning, fire, ice, earth, metal, and water.

But the person before him had completely defied his understanding of the world.

Commanding multiple energies and explosively unleashing them in this chaotic manner would have normally caused Pang Jian to self-destruct—obliterating his body and soul.

The fact that Pang Jian had not imploded thoroughly baffled Ka Zi.

He's a tough opponent. Should I...?

He took hold of the spear.

Whoosh!

A hazy shadow, identical in size and appearance to Pang Jian, merged back into his body.

Pang Jian's Providence Mystic Reservoir Acupoint surged with blood essence and the eight Leaves of Life turned lush and green again.

His strands of golden divine sense had also returned to his sea of consciousness.

All the spiritual power, earthflame energy, and lightning Pang Jian had infused into the spear streamed back into his spiritual sea.

Pang Jian's combat strength was fully restored in the blink of an eye, except for the one strand of golden divine sense still in Ka Zi's mind.

That single strand continued to monitor the golden bees' assault on the sinister tree.

The Bee Sovereign then sent a sudden message, instructing Pang Jian to cover Ka Zi's bleeding wound with the black gauze.

A strange phenomenon occurred.

He lost connection with that strand of golden divine sense when he covered Ka Zi's wound with the black gauze.

Pang Jian stood, momentarily stunned, before it dawned on him.

Ka Zi had wrapped his body in the black gauze to prevent the descent of the Outer God.

The Outer God that Ka Zi called a Forest God had projected its soul and divine consciousness into Ka Zi's mind as the sinister tree to turn him into the perfect vessel for its descent.

To avoid such a fate, Ka Zi covered his eyes with the black gauze so the distant Forest God could not sense him.

Naturally, possession became impossible as well.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The interwoven branches and leaves covering the sky returned to their original states like a curtain slowly being pulled back, allowing everyone to see daylight again.

"Pang Jian!" Zhou Qingchen called urgently, having been trying and failing to break through the foliage barrier since it had appeared.

"I'm fine," Pang Jian replied, squinting at the sky.

"I knew you'd be alright," Zhou Qingchen said with a smile of relief, belying his earlier concern. "See, Senior Sister Zhao! This guy's got a lot of luck on his side. How could a mere tree-controlling Wood Race warrior possibly stop him?"

The outcome of their fight was clear at a glance as the referenced foreign race warrior lay defeated at Pang Jian's feet.

"He claimed to be from the Green Spirit Race, not the Wood Race," Chang Li of the Skyveil Cliff Sect said as he cautiously approached the descending gourd.

He took care to avoid the surrounding trees and undergrowth but soon realized the once perilous forest had returned to normal with the death of the foreign race warrior,

"Don't the Wood Race in the Fifth World also control trees? This Green Spirit Race looks the same as the Wood Race to me," Zhao Yuanqi remarked as she descended with Zhou Qingchen.

A chill ran down her spine as she took in the shriveled bodies impaled on branches in the distance.

She could not see the situation clearly from above and was only now witnessing the devastation beneath the canopy.

The sight of the drained bodies filled her eyes with cold light.

"These...did this foreign race warrior kill them all?" she asked.

"He did," Chang Li replied somberly. "We're disciples from the Skyveil Cliff Sect on the Heaven Awakening Continent."

Pointing at Xiao Yu, he added, "She and the others are from the Xiao Clan."

Xiao Yu was applying healing ointment to the wounds of her Rank Six Scarlet-Eyed Demon Wolf and nodded brusquely at Zhao Yuanqi and Zhou Qingchen from the distance.

Once its wounds had been tended to, the Scarlet-Eyed Demon Wolf crouched down and gazed mournfully at what remained of its companion, the Goldrock Beast.

Xiao Yu gracefully approached Pang Jian.

Her cold, fierce eyes were like sharp blades as she glanced at Ka Zi's body on the ground and said simply, "Thank you for avenging us."

As she curiously observed Pang Jian, she could not help but feel that he was someone difficult to get along with.

"I didn't kill him for you, so there's no need to thank me," Pang Jian replied offhandedly, not even looking at her.

He then moved to unravel the strange black gauze wrapped around Ka Zi and reveal his true face.

Zhou Qingchen was right.

His body was that of a Wood Race warrior!

The Green Spirit Race was merely another name for the Wood Race in the Abyss!

Their bodies, eye color, and bark-like skin matched the Wood Race that Pang Jian knew!

"He really is from the Wood Race," Xiao Yu said in surprise.

"They likely have different names in different worlds." Lu Xiangyi's voice echoed from a distance. She stood and bowed apologetically toward Zhou Qingchen and Zhou Yuanqi before turning to Pang Jian. "I misunderstood you earlier. I'm sorry."

"Couldn't you have given us more of a warning?" Chen Lushi huffed, approaching together with Wu Yuan of the Demon Sect and wearing a fresh purple gown that accentuated her voluptuous figure.

She, too, stopped a distance away. "Your dashing into the forest without a word of explanation, caused me to get struck in the back by someone possessed by an Outer God. Jiang Chao was also nearly killed in an ambush."
