C10 – He Only Knows How to Bully Others
Among assassins, the name “Ksitigarbha King” held the weight of the heavens!
Witnessing the hushed conversations resonating among the Rebirth Camp assassins within the valley, an air of chatter surrounded them. Xue Ying’s countenance darkened, his voice frigid as he commanded, “Silence!”
His words ushered instant quiet in the valley. Evidently, his authority was paramount in everyone’s regard.
“What if he is the Ksitigarbha King? Our Rebirth Camp presently ranks among the world’s top ten assassin organizations. Moreover, this lad is so young. Fifteen years ago, he would have been a mere three-year-old. How could he be the Ksitigarbha King?”
As the silence held, Xue Ying broke it, speaking with a resolute tone.
Xue Ying’s words resonated logically with the assembled group.
“Boss is spot on. This young man couldn’t be the Ksitigarbha King.”
One of the Rebirth Camp assassins, with reverence, spoke to Xue Ying.
“However, this lad wields the Heavenly Silkworm Glove and Corpse Dissolving Powder. He’s even well-versed in the Tendon-dissecting Hand technique. Regardless of whether he’s Ksitigarbha King, he holds close ties to him. If we manage to capture him alive and extract information about the Tendon-dissecting Hand and Ksitigarbha King’s whereabouts... that will be an immense accomplishment. The higher-ups will surely reward us.”
Xue Ying’s voice took on a husky tone, his eyes gleaming with fervor.
Even within the Rebirth Camp, a spirit of competition prevailed. Every assassin ranked in bronze would lead a team to fulfill missions assigned by the organization.
As the leader of these assassins, it was incumbent upon him to consider the welfare of his subordinates.
“Boss, but this youth effortlessly took down Brother Li. Our own strength...”
A moment later, a bronze-ranked assassin couldn’t contain himself, voicing his concern. Their assassin team was largely composed of bronze-ranked individuals. Confronting Wang Xiao solo would likely result in their torment and demise.
“For this mission, my Xue Ying team shall step up. All members, suspend your current tasks. I’ll be joining as well.”
Xue Ying recognized the intent behind the assassin’s words, offering a response.
With these words, a shiver ran through all the assassins in the valley.
Was Boss Xue Ying really about to personally take on this mission?
“But many of us have already accepted the assignment. If we back out now, we’ll face penalties...”
Another assassin murmured, his voice low.
“We’ll capture Wang Xiao alive first and uncover Ksitigarbha King’s location. Do you doubt that the higher-ups won’t reward us?” Xue Ying’s voice turned cold as he gave a disdainful look to the short-sighted assassin. Then he continued, “And remember, that kid still wields the Tendon-dissecting Hand technique. If every member of our team masters this deadly art...”
At this point, Xue Ying wisely paused.
Right on cue, a spark of excitement ignited in the eyes of every assassin in the valley, their bodies pulsing with the thirst for bloodshed.
Ksitigarbha King’s ultimate technique was something any assassin would crave.
“Boss, we’re with you.”
The assassins’ collective excitement radiated as they echoed their support for Xue Ying.
For a brief moment, the valley reverberated with a chorus of unified voices, a symphony of murderous intent.
“Since there’s no dissent, let’s move!”
Xue Ying found his team’s response gratifying. A faint smile curved his lips as he issued his command in a resonant tone.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
“Hehe, Waner, isn’t it perfectly natural for a husband to tease his wife?”
Wang Xiao brushed his nose and added, casting a playful glance at Tong Waner.
“Big Brother Wang Xiao, you can change your clothes. Waner will head off first.”
Sensing the spark in Wang Xiao’s gaze, Tong Waner’s heart raced. Her cheeks flushed as she spun around, intending to depart.
Wang Xiao wouldn’t easily let Tong Waner go. He gently caught her soft, pliant hand, drawing her into his embrace.
“Are you just planning to leave now? Isn’t it a bit too late?” Wang Xiao smiled down at Tong Waner nestled in his arms, teasing, “You woke me up so early in the morning. Don’t you think you owe me something?”
Pulled back into his embrace, Tong Waner felt her heart flutter chaotically. Her delicate fingers fidgeted, and her crimson lips moved slightly. She stammered, “Why do you think it’s so early in the morning? It’s nearly midday now... Oh!”
Tong Waner’s words were interrupted as she sensed her small mouth being sealed. A jolt of electrifying sensation surged within her.
Her first kiss was taken!
And it was swiped by Wang Xiao!
“Mm, tastes like honey...”
Wang Xiao felt exhilaration coursing through him. Fueled by a spring-like energy, he prepared for a fresh wave of playful assault.
“En...”
Before Tong Waner could shake off the electrifying sensation, Wang Xiao gently moved his teeth away from hers.
The world seemed to spin for a moment.
Tong Waner’s limbs felt feeble, rendering her incapable of exerting any force. She found herself nestling right into Wang Xiao’s embrace.
This rascal had a knack for nothing but teasing!
Absolutely repulsive!
Knock, knock, knock...
Just as Wang Xiao was about to take a step forward, a knocking resounded on the door. Tong Hu’s voice echoed from outside.
“Young lady, son-in-law, the old man is looking for the young lady.”
Tong Waner, who had been dazed, abruptly snapped to attention. Her cheeks flushed, she gently pushed Wang Xiao away and hastened to straighten her disheveled attire.
“Tong Hu had to ruin Eldest Brother’s wonderful news!”
Wang Xiao clenched his teeth inwardly. He mentally cursed Tong Hu countless times!
“I understand. I’ll come down now.”
With her clothing now orderly, Tong Waner’s cheeks still tinged with pink. She directed her words to Tong Hu outside the door.
She swiftly rose and exited the room. Just before leaving, she couldn’t help but cast an intense glare at Wang Xiao.
“Ahem, ahem...”
Noticing Tong Waner’s gaze, Wang Xiao let out a discreet cough. He touched his nose, pretending to shift his attention elsewhere, assuming the guise of innocence.
Witnessing this, Tong Waner rolled her eyes at Wang Xiao. She snorted and ordered, “Hurry and get dressed. Join us for breakfast!”
You scoundrel, Wang Xiao!
