Chapter 62 - She Had Enough

As usual, Xi Jian told Ling Yue to order his food and have lunch together. Ling Yue refused and looked for reasons not to meet him in this state. After arriving at the office. She submerged herself to work. If not, her brain would return to think about everything and that would lead to the past that she tried to forget.

"Hey!"

Ling Yue almost jumped from the chair. She did not hear Xi Jian knock or enter her room. Since when he was in front of Ling Yue?

"You scared me! When did you come in?"

Xi Jian walked to the lemon color sofa and placed a package of food on the table.

"I knocked twice. Called you three times and asked you once. But you didn't respond." he turned his head. "Let's eat!"

"I'm not in the mood for food. You can eat alone." Ling Yue sat down again and continued her work.

Xi Jian looked at her. He was the boss of this company, busy every second with billions of contracts and a myriad of meetings piled up, standing here just to stare and be rejected by this stubborn woman.

"Eat!" he spoke a bit louder, in a tone that could not be debated.

"Don't yell at me." Ling Yue said loudly. She headed to Xi Jian, annoyed. Xi Jian watched her more closely.

"Are you crying?" Xi Jian was surprised to find her eyes red and puffy.

Ling Yue said nothing. She sat first and started to open her food. She would eat quickly so this person could leaves here immediately. Xi Jian guessed what the cause.

"Did they scold you that badly? That's why I said you don't need to dress up." Xi Jian sat and imitated what Ling Yue did.

"Yes yes yes, it's all my fault." Ling Yue chewed the food roughly.

"No, part of it is also my fault. Don't worry, I've pulled all the photos and news down." Xi Jian got a short message from Ling Feng, contains only one line, and that was enough to make Xi Jian self-conscious.

He personally took down all Ling Yue's news and photos, even though halfway, there were other people who did the same thing so that it didn't take long to sweep away everything. Xi Jian was sure Ling Feng's side did the rest. Or rather, Xi Jian knews Ling Huansheng who had intervened.

Ling Yue thought for a moment. She had enough! She couldn't continue to live like this. She would fight for her 'freedom' and make her brothers understand.

"Hey, brother Jian, are we friends?" Ling Yue asked without stopping to chew her food. She chosen to continue upsetting her brothers.

Xi Jian's hand stopped in the mid-air. Ling Yue's trivial question made him think many times how to answer. He wanted to answer that they were just friends, but Xi Jian felt more than that. Xi Jian wanted to answer that he thought of her as a younger sister, but that was not the case. He himself wants to know better what this ambiguous relationship is called. For now, he came up with :

"Superiors and subordinates."

Ling Yue disagreed but She said nothing. "Whatever. If you as my superior need another party partner, just bring me again. This subordinates of yours will be happy to go." She said confidently.

Xi Jian frowned. "No need." He glanced. "Do you really want badly to make your brothers angry?"

Ling Yue put down her food. "It's about time they let me do what I like. Especially about this appearance. How can I get married if the man who sees me, find me not attractive because this appearance?" She suddenly remembered He Luo. Ling Yue wondered if he still wait for her answer.

Xi Jian continued chewing his food. The image of Ling Yue marrying someone else bothered him.

"He will marry you if he truly loves you for who you are. Not because of appearance." He mumbled slowly.

Ling Yue let out a soft laugh. "Look who's talking. Didn't you also see a woman because of her appearance? As I recall, your girlfriends were all beautiful. No one ugly."

"Don't bring up the past." Now, he seems pissed.

Ling Yue crossed her arms over her chest. "Alright, if you don't want to, I can go to another party with someone else." Ling Yue was determined to do it no matter what.

"What? You can't go with just anyone. Ling Feng certainly doesn't agree."

"Anyone who disagrees can go to hell."
