Chapter 97: Battle At the Shore, Power of Primordial Genome Whisperer (2)
To far northeast of the island, Yueha and Mei fought against four powerful Primeval-rank monsters who lived on both the island and the ocean.
The leader of the three Aquafin Lions had stats breaking past 500k, surpassing Yueha. It stood tallest at ten meters in height with water scales and dark blue glittering mane and two large icy-white fangs emerging from its mouth outward.
Their fight already destroyed the shore and nearby woods.
The other three Aquafin Lions had lower stats as two were in the early stage and one in the median stage of primeval rank, but still higher than Mei's stats. Aquafin Lions, having a Primeval-rank Bloodline, and Primeval-rank grade, were proving challenging to defeat.
Their toughness was hard to break, and their attacks were deadly. Having outnumbered Yueha and Mei, the duo was in heated combat with the group of beasts, dodging and moving around while attacking.
'Mai, all in on the leader feline! I'll bind it briefly and weaken the defense on its head. Its attacks are fatal, so we have to kill it fast.'
Yueha moved around transforming into an icy mist before she made a big move after activating her domain in burst mode, empowering herself directly instead of creating a field that empowers and supports her before using a technique, 'Icy Hell Mirror Chambers.'
In the next moment, the three Aquafin lions who were after Mei were trapped in different icy chambers. Mei was initially juggling around them while attacking and dodging their attacks with her nimbleness and assassin mode, waiting for Yueha to finish her battle with the leader Aquafin Lion.
But as those three were trapped, she immediately vanished and appeared before the leader Aquafin Lion, her dagger gleaming powerfully as she used one of her most powerful techniques, 'Blood Shadow Parry.'
Instantly, the powerful and deadly claw attack of the lion was already releasing a frigid icy wave toward Yueha who just used her technique.
Mei's dagger clashed against the incoming attack and a loud clang sound echoed before her wrist broke and she shot back like a bullet towards the sky, right past Yueha.
She immediately chugged a potion while stabilizing to heal her wrist as she succeeded in parrying the attack despite losing the bout, giving Yueha enough time to execute her next technique.
"Die," Yueha's eyes flashed with an icy gleam as a star-shaped icy crystal with indigo blue patterns shot on the Aquafin Lion's head.
*BOOM!*
Its head was instantly frozen while patterns on the icy shone! This attack's effect activated, initiating a shatter trigger. Once an attack hit the frozen head, the Ice would shatter powerfully, directing all of its energy to burst with a pure offensive attack into its head. Moreover, the frozen part would also get frostbite and affect the flesh, lowering the defense. 'Dark Shadow Clones.'
Mei arrived on time just a second later, but there were five Meis instead of one, and all of them executed her most powerful offensive attack, Deathly Black Strike, their daggers shining with a black sheen before striking the beast's head as five slashes crossed against each other on the frozen head.
The slashes on the ice burst with black flame while the ice also shattered with a bright glow and exploded.
*BOOM!*
Due to its head frozen with Yeuha's powerful skill into which she poured half of her energy, and their combined fatal attack, the lion's head exploded with a gaping hole. Its brain was dead, but its vitality was still there.
Yueha sent her spirit sword inside the head, powerfully gleaming as it tore through its internals before striking its core and killing it completely.
The duo recovered their Mana with a potion and focused on killing the remaining three Aquafin Lions.
On the other hand, Rias and Roxen who were a couple of kilometers away were fighting with Legendary-rank monsters and soon finished their battle.
Leaning against the tree, Rias smiled with satisfaction and wiped blood from her lips, "We've fought a lot and got a lot, Roxen."
Roxen slumped on the ground as her chest heaved up and down with her breathing, a grin on her face, "We both will be able to reach the peak of Legendary-rank with these resources."
"I'll do a solo hunt for a while," Riki said with a grin. "You all return first."
"Alright."
...
Half an hour later, they arrived back at the base.
"Let's see what Master is doing before resting," Yueha said and the group rolled towards the
Colosseum.
As soon they entered the Colosseum, a loud blast echoed as they saw a glowing crimson-red neon orb with a black void in the center exploding.
"Arghh! Finally! Finally made one after five damn hours!"
[Gachapi: congratulations, Master.]
Aleron shouted while raising his hand upward that held a strange red gun with metallic black feathers on its big fat barrel body while tentacles wiggled from its grip area, attached to Aleron's wrist for the hold and looked as if it physically combined with his hand, which
actually it did combine with his flesh and bones.
"What's that, Ale?"
Rias and others flew towards him, streaking across the empty colosseum. Aleron had long
sent the slaves away to work on mining the Arcane veins, while also sending Xorgs to help
collect resources at various parts of the island since they were powerful enough to kill
monsters.
"This? Hahaha, I don't know where to begin," Aleron said with a laugh as he turned the ladies
and showed them the gun.
"It looks alive," Roxen felt goosebumps looking at the gun and her eyes widened, "Is that
eye? It just blinked!"
Indeed, there was an eye that wandered around the gun's body, looking ethereal and creepy,
but as alive as possible.
"I don't sense Mana or spirit energy from it...it's strange," Yueha raised brows, her eyes
filling up with curiosity.
Aleron grinned and waved his hand, using Magilore to create a ten-meter round metallic board with eccentric patterns before pointing his Geno Gear gun at it.
