Chapter 105: Rias's Heart, Kadita's Shock
In all kinds of tests, including combat, Rias had ranked first past two years and kept the first rank in her generational class while keeping 2nd rank overall.
The first rank was a final year student, Draven Oborus, the heir of the Oborus clan, which was one of the big five powers, ruling one of the five major cities of the continent-Belford City. A powerful Exceed-rank powerhouse who was 22 years old, a prodigy rivaling Rias.
Everyone on the campus felt that if Rias fell for someone, it would only be Draven. It was also a politically good move for the Empire to marry Rias and Draven as there were rumors that such talk had happened.
Naturally, the rumor had the basis of truth as some talk had indeed occurred, but while Draven was more than happy with this arrangement, Rias had flat-out rejected it six months ago in private.
Of course, if she wasn't the powerful princess she was with the highest purity of Longinus Bloodline in the Longinus Empire, she wouldn't have options.
If her brothers were superior, she would've been surely turned into a political pawn to establish a relationship between the Longinus Empire and the Orobus Clan.
Fortunately, she was the sole hope of the Empire and the strongest future asset.
Unfortunately, Draven still had the desire to get her and would stoop to terrible low to remedy his ego and fulfill his desire, especially since he stumbled upon an entity that he felt he could use as a strong asset after finding out the upcoming events from it.
The first thing was that the secret realm of Azure Shard Moon would open in just five days instead of nine months. That was the best place for him to make a move on Rias.
This was announced just this morning and Rias would know it soon as well.
...
"Welcome back, lass."
Inside the Longinus Light Courtyard belonging to Rias, she put Aleron on the comfortable bed before a figure appeared nearby with a faint space ripple.
"Quite literally," Roxen added.
"That I saw..." Kadita weakly smiled and looked at Rias before sighing, "But to be honest, I never thought I would see you fall for someone like this. From wanting to head the empire as an Empress, you are now a lass in love who wants to follow her man."
"Things aside from him are starting to feel meaningless, I just want to help and support him, who does so much for others," Rias smiled. "I want to bring more joy in his life while supporting him."
"Support...who?" Aleron groggily opened his eyes and got up, rubbing his temples. "I feel good now, though I'll have to turn off Monitor Dome for a bit."
[Gachapi: You, master, you! You missed such a good confession!]
'Eh? What do you mean?' Aleron was confused.
Rias's face slightly flushed but she quickly composed herself and said, "Haha, supporting you of course. See, Headmaster Kadita is here as you wanted, so we can go to the library here."
Turning to Kadita, Rias said with a grin, "Master, take us to the grand library please." Kadita helplessly smiled before she turned to Aleron, "Well then, Young master Ale, shall we go?"
Aleron laughed and nodded, "Alright, I am excited now. I want to absorb new knowledge fast. Thank you."
Kadita had complicated emotions for a second before she sighed and said, "I am sorry that I tried to kill you, Aleron. But knowing you, I think you can understand why that was the most logical and important decision after your battle with that Akuma."
"However, Rias firmly believed you would succeed and she was right."
Aleron chuckled as he walked towards her and stretched his hands, "I can understand. Akuma's power of possession is trouble and so are their skills. One Akuma can bring massive disaster if not dealt with fast."
"So, just tell me to the library and all magic knowledge you have, we'll call it even," Aleron grinned.
Kadita was surprised before she sighed again, but this time with amazement and admiration as she shook her hands with Aleron, "That's a deal, young master Ale. Let me take you there
right away."
