[Gachapi: Soul Trait is something people awaken once in each lifeform rank from Ascension to further. It's a trait and it can be anything. It manifests automatically.]
'I see. Well then, I'll focus on the experiment for now.'
Aleron's consciousness arrived in the Genome Field, a vast canvas of whiteness where tens of Genome Mods he had captured floated aimlessly around the mystical Genome Refining Pond.
He brought in both Bloodline Orbs he had saved for experiments, but of course, he didn't want to waste both of them in the experiment.
[Exceed-rank Bloodline: Astral Titan Zephyrvale.]
[Primeval-rank Bloodline: Crystal Kraken Prismalith.]
He decided to unveil the Astral Titan Zerphyrvale bloodline through experiments, aiming to learn how to create a Bloodline and evolve it using the powers of Primordial Genome Whisperer.
'Let's see what happens if I try to infuse it with a Genome Mod.
Aleron picked up a random Genome Mod and brought it near the Bloodline Orb.
The Genome Mod instantly went inside the Bloodline Orb, causing the orb to glow in a volatile manner as it pulsed strongly.
'Something's happening,' Aleron quickly focused and observed the internal structure of the orb. It was complicated but understandable to him, who had acquired abundant knowledge regarding Body Path due to having Primordial Genome Whisperer job class.
'Interesting...the Genome Mod is like the most fundamental thing, able to synergize easily with the Bloodline orb, but the Bloodline orb is rejecting it.'
'The issue seems to be compatibility...'
Aleron extracted the Genome Mod and looked at the bunch of Genome Mods floating around.
'That one...it seems it might be compatible.'
Unfortunately, it was as he suspected. Unless there was a risk and estrange factor in the gamble, the Gamble Quest would be low in terms of rewards.
However, he decided to try something innovative in sparring to spice up the gamble quest, and it worked.
"This is good," Aleron's eyes glinted. "Enorin and Arran'tel, now you two fight each other, but the rules this time would be to make sure you strike each other in a way that makes you crash into the barrier I created. The first one to crash the opponent five times would be a winner."
Aleron bet on Arran'tel to win and the Gamble Quest popped up. If he won the bet, he would get 5k Gacha Points but if he lost, he would lose access to his soul power for 10 hours.
Of course, if he told what he bet to Enorin and Arran'tel, which would make it a rigged bet, the Gamble Quest would be canceled, so he had to take the risk and let them fight on their own to decide the winner.
The good thing was that losing a Gamble Quest in this manner wouldn't result in annoying penalties.
As Enorin and Arran'tel fought each other, Arran'tel had an advantage. The first was that he had higher combat experience than Enorin and the second was that he had a pretty good grasp of his Concept power and how to utilize it.
Suction.
Arran'tel was using the Suction concept in unique ways in his skills and had already crashed Enorin three times into the barrier while Enorin crashed once.
Enorin managed to crash him into the barrier a second time, but he was caught in his trap right after that as a dark whirlpool sucked her inside and threw her right at the barrier before she crashed in again.
Her usual deadpan expression and eyes had slight frustration in them, but more than that was the thirst to improve.
In the end, the match ended with Arran'tel winning with the score of 5:3.
"Don't mind it. My concept power had an advantage in this set of rules," Arran'tel chuckled.
"No, I lost. Fair and square," Enorin shook her head. "I need to improve in the usage of my concept and create better skills."
"Master, who did you bet on?" Nerathi quickly asked Aleron with curious lights in her eyes.
"Cough....I bet on Arran'tel," Aleron coughed as his eyes dodged between Enorin and Arran'tel.
