Chapter 236: The Final Boss, Intense Battle
Shelby and Aleron went down to the second floor of the ship. It was entirely different.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Instead of rotten furniture, everything was strangely growing grotesque semi-bio things attached to literally everything.
They spasmed as if they were alive, giving a creepy vibe.
But that was not all, Aleron and Shelby saw stronger individual chaos ghosts that manifested for them.
Aleron modified the Evil Erasure Fan into Evil Erasure Ward, creating a protective offense barrier that attacked any chaos entity that came close to him and erased them.
Following Shelby, who was tracking the boss, they passed by the creepy structures and furniture on this floor, broken rooms and halls, and the strange pitfalls and traps laid by those creepy semi-bio entities.
Aleron's Evil Erasure Ward was strong enough to instantly kill anything that had intent to harm him, while Shelby was also the same as a flick of her soul power could defeat them despite her suppressed power.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the boss area, and Shelby whispered, "That huge black door hides the main terror of this chaotic phenomenon."
"Let me recover Chakra energy first," Aleron said as he had used up much of his Chakra energy using Magic Prints by the time they arrived here.
Entering meditation, Aleron recovered his Chakra energy in half a minute.
Since his Mystic Path reached level 9 here, his limit of Chakra energy increased to 900.
"Shelby, I want to go in alone and fight it. What do you say?"
Shelby's expression changed, her eyes showing hesitance, "I believe in your power, but the soul power of entity in there...it can affect you gravely. It will be able to make the first move no matter what you do, so it's going to be tricky."
"Yes, but I want to fight it," Aleron clenched his fist, his eyes burning with resolve. "It's more powerful with nasty tricks up its sleeve, which is why I want to meet it head-on."
Aleron stood before the towering black door, the oppressive energy behind it growing stronger with each passing second.
Shelby's lips pressed into a thin line of concern. The dim, pulsating glow of the grotesque, semi-bio creatures cast strange shadows on the walls as if the ship itself was alive, shuddering in anticipation of the upcoming clash.
"I'll wait out here as you wish," Shelby said, her voice steady despite the uncertainty in her eyes.
Aleron nodded, stepping forward. His hand trembled slightly, not from fear but from the enormity of the battle he was about to face. With a deep breath, he pushed the door open, and an overwhelming wave of dark energy crashed over him, chilling him to his core.
Simply Magic Print wouldn't cut it, he knew. The first move belonged to his enemy, and he would have to resist, fight, and destroy whatever that came his way.
As he was about to push the door and touch it, Aleron suddenly found himself already inside. 'It started.'
The room beyond was vast and shadowy, its boundaries lost in an inky black fog. In the center, a swirling mass of chaotic energy crackled and hissed, its form ever-changing, as though the laws of reality bent and broke around it. The chaotic entity, the source of the terror that had consumed the ship, awaited him.
But it wasn't alone.
Out of the shifting darkness stepped familiar faces. Darzax, Riki, Hua, Fang, Lee, Ying, Jiang, Arran'tel, Nerathi, and Roxen-his loyal subordinates-stood before him, their eyes empty, their forms twisted and translucent.
Behind them, his wives appeared-Enorin, Yueha, Mei, Ruan, Liang, and Rias-each wearing expressions of cold malice, their hands reaching toward him.
"Aleron..." they whispered in unison, their voices warped and echoing in his mind. "Why did you leave us?"
Aleron's heart wrenched, but he knew better. These were not his allies nor his wives. They were manifestations of the chaotic entity, illusions meant to break his resolve and shatter his spirit. He clenched his fist, his body shaking not from fear but from anger.
'It's already into my soul.'
"I know what you are!" he shouted, his voice echoing in the vast chamber. "You think you can break me with these tricks?"
The entity didn't respond. The illusions of his loved ones advanced, their eyes glowing with malicious intent.
"Hypocrite."
"You are a loser, you know?"
Aleron's face darkened. He knew it was the chaotic entity of this chaotic phenomenon, but it didn't feel good to hear those words from his loved ones.
The chaotic entity screeched in pain, its form recoiling as the light washed over it. The twisted figures of Darzax, Riki, and the others dissipated, unable to withstand the purity of the
sanctuary.
The apparitions of his wives vanished, their hollow eyes fading into nothingness.
Aleron stood in the center of the Vihelguard, breathing heavily but resolute. The swirling mass of chaos in front of him pulsed, struggling to maintain its form. The entity had lost its advantage; its illusions could no longer reach him.
'But I can reach now!'
Aleron was angry, and without wasting a second, wrapped his fist in a heavy radiant gauntlet before punching the monster with a giant vertical pupil eye that extended black rotten tentacles. It was misty and black, nasty and malicious.
With renewed determination, Aleron charged forward, his fist glowing as he first released his
anger by punching it.
The chaotic entity, now vulnerable, lashed out desperately, tendrils of dark energy whipping toward him. But the Vihelguard shielded him, erasing the malicious chaos on contact. "Your tricks won't work on me anymore!" Aleron shouted, his voice echoing through the
chamber.
Finally, he targeted it using Hellsiv, his chakra energy draining rapidly along with his other
energies.
A deafening wail filled the room as the entity's form unraveled, its chaotic essence forcibly eroding as searing golden flame chains wrapped around it.
"Go to Hell!"
*Screeeech!!*
The oppressive atmosphere lifted, the shadows receding, and the grotesque semi-bio entities
outside the door ceased their writhing. The ship felt lighter, as though the dark presence that had plagued it had finally been vanquished.
Aleron stood amidst the fading mist, his breathing steady, his body weary but victorious. He
had faced the chaotic entity head-on, and despite its illusions, its overwhelming soul power,
he had triumphed.
The black door slowly creaked open, and Shelby stepped inside. Her eyes scanned the room,
then settled on Aleron. A small smile tugged at her lips.
"You did it." Aleron nodded, his gaze still fixed on the spot where the chaotic entity had been. "Yeah," he
said softly with a smile, "I did it."
The hall was illuminated with hazy green and yellow lights.
The ship seemed to start purifying as the semi-bio entities began vanishing.
[Congratulations for successfully exploring and completing the Chaotic Phenomenon's
challenge.]
Chaosverse Will's monotone message greeted him and Shelby.
In front of Aleron, a fancy treasure chest ladened with ethereal hazy green and golden
patterns appeared, ready to open.
The reward from the Chaotic Phenomenon was unlike the Dungeons.
Chaotic Phenomenon gave strange things, strange artifacts. Aleron walked forward, his eyes showing anticipation as he opened the chest.
