It’s amazing how young children would always argue that they were already a grown-up, but when they really did, they always expect someone to tell them, ‘You are still a child.’

Unfortunately for Lin Yu He, there was no longer anyone who would say that to him.

No one would treat him like a child, and no one would love him that way anymore.

After a few small exchanges, seeing that Lin Yu He didn’t have any problems, Wu Xin urges Lin’s father to hang up on the call and talk to other guests.

Lin Yu He sat in silence while holding his phone for a while until a message alert popped up, then he glanced at the screen.

The text was from Shen Hui Xi, who said he was now at the East Gate’s hall.

[Shen Hui Xi: There is an open-air lake near the east entrance hall. There are not many people here and it’s close to the main hall. If you don’t have anything to do, let’s go for a walk by the lake together?]

This was intended to take him away from the crowd for a while.

When Lin Yu He first arrived at the lounge, he originally wanted to tell Shen Hui Xi that he had nothing to do here and did not need to be accompanied. However, after answering his father’s phone call, he felt slightly suffocated, as though the lounge had become hot and stuffy.

So, he thought, why not go out for a walk?

Lin Yu He replied with a ‘Sure’.

Shen Hui Xi asked him again: [Do you know how to go to the East Gate Hall? Or I’ll go and find you?]

Lin Yu He was not sure where he was exactly either but still replied: [No need, I’ll just ask someone.]

After sending his reply to Shen Hui Xi, Lin Yu He got up and left the lounge.

There was an unknown man wearing glasses standing outside the door. As soon as he opened the door, initiatively, he asked, “What can I do for you, Mr. Lin?”

Lin Yu He asked, “Do you know how to get to the East Gate Hall?”

“Yes.” The man with glasses continued, “Follow me.”

The man led the way in front and Lin Yu He followed behind him all the way. The hotel was huge, and the way to the east entrance hall was a bit far. As they walked, they exited the inner area and reached an open-air garden.

The guests were all in the lobby, and although the open-air garden was beautiful, not many people appreciated it. The man with glasses and Lin Yu He also walked straight through the garden, towards another building.

Before they could walk indoors, they heard a loud chattering sound.

A group of girls dressed up in fancy dresses approached them from another path. Flanked in the middle were the two most striking looking girls; one of them was bright and flashy, wearing a bold red gown, and the other was gentle and quiet, wearing a haze of blue gauze dress.

A dozen girls walked together, and their faces were a bit anxious, not knowing what they were panicking about. When they saw the two of them, their eyes all lit up.

"Excuse me!" Someone opened her mouth and called out to them, "We're lost, where is this?"

The man with glasses replied, “This is the Central Garden."

The girl then asked again, “Do you know how to get to the Southeast Hall?”

The man with glasses explained the way, but the way he pointed out was very complicated, and the expressions of several girls were a bit confused.

The girl in the red dress was even more straightforwardly impatient and said, “What’s all this talk, I don’t understand it at all.”

She had said this in English, and the girl who followed her hurried to say, “You make it sound too complicated. How about you guys take us there? We have to go over to the hall quickly.”

The eye man did not immediately refuse. Instead, he turned his head and asked Lin Yu He’s opinion. “What does Mr. Lin think? The Southeast Hall is also quite close to the East Gate Hall.”

Lin Yu He was in no hurry, so he agreed. “Okay.”

The man with glasses then showed the way to the group of girls. Lin Yu He followed from the furthest back. Not far from where they met, they walked indoors.

There were several doors to go through before entering the hall, and the man with glasses first pushed open a solid wood door, and then went ahead to open the combination lock for the next door.

However, that solid wood door was not pushed open well, and once the force was withdrawn, it slowly closed back. Seeing that the group of girls was wearing high heels - it is already inconvenient for them to step over the threshold, let alone push open that thick door - Lin Yu He went forward to help push open the door.

The gentle girl in the blue gauze dress happened to be lifting her dress over the step and smiled at him as she passed by. “Thank you.”

Lin Yu He gave a slight nod. “You’re welcome.”

While the two were conversing, the next girl in a long white dress walked in, and as she stepped over the threshold, she suddenly tilted towards Lin Yu He’s side.

“Ah!”

Before Lin Yu He could react, the girl in the white fell forward.

With her, the blue gauze-dressed girl walking not far in front of her was also pushed and joined the fall together.

The white-dressed girl cried out in pain and seemed to not have noticed the situation. However, when she saw who she had fallen with, her face immediately turned pale in fear.

She did not care about her own situation, and asked in a panic, “Miss Fang! Are you, are you okay?”

The blue-dressed girl was supported by several girls but did not stand up, as she was in too much pain to speak. Seeing this, the girl in white panicked and tried to go forward to help her up, but was stopped by the other girl’s sobbing voice.

“Don’t, don’t touch me!”

The right leg of the girl in blue was taut, and her ankle wrapped in tulle was stiff. She dared not move a single bit, as if the fall was extremely hard.

The white dress girl’s tears began falling and were frightened beyond words. “I, I did not mean to ......"

"It's him ...... it's him!"

In a panic, she pointed at Lin Yu He and questioned him with teary eyes.

"Why did you trip me?!"
