Lin Yu He had previously watched how the master of ceremonies sprouted bullshit and never thought the day he had to do the same would come so soon. He made up a random explanation, and barely tricked Shen Hui Xi.

Thankfully, Shen Hui Xi was not the kind to gossip too and simply walked away after he helped Lin Yu He redeem the ticket.

Once Shen Hui Xi left, Lin Yu He continued to stare at his phone in deep worry. He recalled when Mr. Lu was asking about accepting friend requests on his way back. At that time, Lin Yu He thought it was a bit odd, as in why would he mention this.

Now he finally understood why.

Once he thought of how Lu Nan would think that he already added Fang Zi Shu yet never accepted his friend request, Lin Yu He had a bit of a mental breakdown.

There was no response from that side for a while, and a picture was sent later.

The picture sent was a screenshot of Lin Yu He's earlier message, calling him "Mr. Lu".

Lin Yu He was dumbfounded.

He also included a sticker that stated "Good job!" after he sent that last message.

Once he was done sending the texts, he got up to prepare his items for showering. His phone vibrated suddenly at that time.

Lu Nan: "Rest early."

Lin Yu He: "Okay, Ge Ge, you too"

Lu Nan: "Good night, sweet dreams."

Lin Yu He noticed that Mr. Lu was one of those rare types of people. The kind that inserts a period at the end of all his messages, with all the punctuations complete in their rightful places. However, when put in text messages, it made a person seem very strict and formal.

However, the combination of such formality, and a wish of good night and sweet dreams wasn't out of place.

Instead, it made one feel a warm reassurance.

Maybe there truly existed a speech spirit for good wishes, Lin Yu He slept peacefully that night.

He even dreamt of his deceased mother.

In the following days, Lin Yu He attended all his classes as usual. After the engagement, his life didn't have many changes with how it went by.

The wedding date had already been determined. It was on the next month, so there was still some time in between. The real immediate matter was the publicity strategy for the wedding.

These announcements mainly had two purposes. On one side, it meant the Lu's still had reservations towards Lu Nan's choice of partner. Only when Lin Yu He truly settled into the identity of true love, would they let this matter go. On the other hand, Lu Nan needed some personal publicity as the new CEO of Tai Ping Group, and to even out his overly cold image.

Besides these two reasons, Wu Xin also gave Lin Yu He plenty of other reasons. Lin Yu He didn't pay much attention to her, and only remembered that the news will spread soon.

However, he was surprised that there was still no reaction from the announcement even after so many days had passed since the engagement ceremony.
